This place is absolute fire. I had the firecracker pork yesterday and craved it all night so I came back today to get it again and it was just as good.

Absolutely addicted to the Dan Dan noodles - just like to get a little extra meat added. Also dumplings are excellent.

Very good food. I’d definitely go back!

Edit: May. 2023. Highly disappointed with how a matter was taken care of regarding poor food quality, I will not be returning.

We were at the Waffle House next door. It is awesome food and the staff are tremendous, friendly and wonderful. The place was busy and everything went very well.

Just enjoyed a beautiful supper dish from Mamatsu in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. We have tried take out and eat in here for a few years now and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. I have read reviews about the chicken being chicken loaf with canned sauce. This is just not true. As you can see in my pic it is boneless, skinless chicken meat and the sauce is delightful. The vegetables in this dish are always crisp and fresh. This is a fabulous restaurant and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves freshly made Thai food.

Never expected to find some of the best Asian food I’ve ever had in a small Nova Scotia town. Fresh, tasty, healthy, and affordable.

Excellent place. The food was just awesome and out of this world. We ordered chicken red curry and chicken cashew nut curry. Both of them were good but we loved the red curry the most. Too bad we went there 45 minutes before closure and so a bunch of items were sold out. We are going back there in a few days with more time to eat leisurely. And the service was 6*. Don't know the waiter's name but he was excellent.

I ordered the pad thai. Unfortunately for Mamatsu I have actually been to Thailand and had authentic pad thai! Mamatsu serves a heaping plate of tamarind sauce coated starch with very few vegetables. The amount of crushed peanuts was so small that they might as well omit them entirely. There was no slice of lime as is traditional and no opportunity to add chilis. Disappointing.

Casual atmosphere. Nice place to sit and enjoy asian cuisine. The food is quite tasty and the price is good.

Absolutely delicious, and you can't find any better value for your money! Incredible curry and noodles, great service, and a fantastic place to go with a few friends or family.

They consistently run out of food by supper time, so you have a limited list of available food items from the menu.

Everything in this place is freshly made.and DELICIOUS. It would be hard to pick a favourite dish as they all are really good!

One of the best restaurants in town. They offer vegetarian and meat options, healthy options too. Waiter usually works alone to serve all tables which is a big job and looks overwhelming. It can take a while to get served. Sometimes runs out of tofu and other options by suppertime but they always offer an option that will work for you.

Nothing to say other than eat here. Establishment is immaculate, servers are polite and distant when needed and there when you do. Cooks are fantastic. I can't wait to go back and try another dish.

The food, service and dining room were all fantastic! I had the dan dan noodles and my husband had pad thai. Both were excellent but the pad thai was exceptional. Absolutely satisfied, especially for the price. We would eat here again if going through New Glasgow.

The flavours bring me back to SE Asia. Excellent food. If you enjoy spice, try the firecracker pork! It's a win. Always fast service and great staff. So happy I heard about Mamatsu!

Love Mamatsu! Always fresh, tasty meals with lots of option (vegan, gluten free, etc.) Also, the staff are all very friendly and accommodating.

Went here twice, 1st visit I waited for more than 15 mins with no one checking if I want something to eat at all so just decided to leave, gave them 2nd chance there's not much food for them to cook so I've just asked them to give me whatever is available, gave me pad thai that is in very small portion serving.

The food is decent but very inconsistent at least for take-out, and this restaurant never picks up the phone.

Clean restaurant and friendly service. The food is quite good considering the lack of an Asian grocery store in the town. Credits to the owner for doing their best.

First time going to this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Very enjoyable. Both dishes were excellent!

Waited 1 hour to get the wrong dish. And waiting another hour or so to get a ‘’ Cashew Chicken ‘’ with peanuts instead. Cause its a cheaper option? May be?

Service is really good but food was way too sweet and chicken tasted old (sulfury). Place is nice.

I believe that I have reviewed this before. Great family run restaurant. Two words - Pad Thai! The best anywhere.

First time I went for bubble tea it was really good; but have gone 3 times since then and been refused service even though it was long before their advertised close time and I was just looking for drinks not to be seated and eat. Been told their closed and then said they were out of tea every time.

The food is very good. There seems to only be two people working there, a waitress and chef. Sometimes they run out of items and you don't know until you go to order (reason for 4 stars). Sometimes you wait a while if it is busy. The chef seemed a bit cranky since we showed up before she was about to take her lunch and rushed our food. They should really have two for that reason. You can see all your food being prepared as well.
I will visit again and the food and waitress are great.

Dan Dan noodles are just so good. Hard to overstate how delicious they really are. A combination of peanut, chili spice, savory ground pork equates to lots of delicious sauce to cover the noodles. Dumplings are excellent, made with napa cabbage and applewood smoked bacon. It's quite a different palate to other places around but give it an honest try. Service is always friendly although they can be quite busy at times with take out orders as well, but staff do an amazing job of taking care of everyone.
