Molto Bene! I had the focaccia pizza for lunch on Saturday. So amazing. I only wish this was the standard for pizza in Nova Scotia, sadly it's not. I always enjoy the weekend lunch specials at this place. Their fresh made pastas are way better than grocery store brands and their pizza sauce is the bomb. If I lived closer to this place I'd be much heavier:)

Happened upon this Italian pasta market just off Portland Street in Dartmouth. I picked up a box of fresh pasta, the meatballs in sauce, bolognese sauce and a package of mushroom and Asiago lasagna. WOW those meatballs were some of the best I’ve ever had and the fresh pasta was amazing. What a great little shop. Do yourself a favour and get down there and grab a lovely little supper for you and a deserving other!

My favorite place to eat in Nova Scotia. Incredible homemade pasta, sandwiches, meal kits, grocery goods, sauces, etc. Even living in a big city with access to some great Italian spots I still find myself missing Maria’s.

Amazing food kits and the service to match. I accidentally picked up the wrong order and they totally went above and beyond in customer service by driving the correct order to me.

It's just amazing. Everything is delicious. Supplies for home cooking and extraordinarily tasty lunch fodder.

A friend dropped off the 2 flavours of lasagna and I have to say they were delicious. I do plan to visit the pantry myself as Italian food is my favourite and I thoroughly enjoyed the lasagnas

Chef Michael and his team did a bang-up job catering for our staff party this year. The food is authentic and delicious- no corners cut or shortcuts. The ingredients list alone knocked our socks off. The team was helpful with questions and quick to respond to my inquiries. We’re lucky to have such a gem in HRM! Thanks again to the Maria’s team!

This place is just off Portland St, and I did not even know it was there except going to see an apartment in the area, so we went back to try the food. They do not have a big eat-in area, so I assume a lot of their business is take away or pasta to cook at home, but their food is delicious. We had a kale salad and a spicy pasta dish and both were delicious. You can get wine or beer here as well, so it is an interesting spot to eat or to get your favorite pasta or sauce to go.

Wow what a fantastic meal! It’s beyond reasonably priced and I’m always worried about portion size as my husband eats so much - but safe to say we had leftovers and he kept saying ‘this is so filling! ’ What a win! We got the bolognese meal kit with meatballs and bread. This is going to be our new go-to weekend or evening take out. Only takes a few minutes to put together at home! I’m so thrilled we found this place.

Love everything about this place. You can order fresh pasta and eat on their patio or, if you don't have time to sit and eat, you can grab fresh made pasta, pasta sauce, and some parmesan and make it at home for a quick easy dinner. The pasta looks simple but the flavors are excellent.

Fresh pasta certainly tastes different than store bought. Everything I have tried at Maria's has been full of flavour! Today I had the carbonara which I enjoyed with a local cider. My favorite so far is still the lasagna, which is not a usual choice of mine. I have also tried a couple of the sauces with my family and the consensus was delicious. The dessert, a traditional Italian reciepe was to die for. I'd highly recommend putting this on top of your list of places to try! Lots of love for the kind and well informed owner and staff

Hosted a meal with pasta from Maria's and it was a huge hit! Fresh and high quality - you really can taste the difference. Staff were fabulous and knowledgeable. Just awesome all around.

Excellent fresh pasta to eat in or take away. The staff was super friendly, in a low key sort of way. Maria's reminds me of a lot of local restaurants in Italy where the quality of the food does the talking. Simple, delicious, and not pretentious.

Very friendly staff, extremely delicious pastas made from scratch, amazing desert, great local beer selection. An absolute must for anyone looking for high quality, locally made delicious food!

After the owner being so kind to me after my last visit I felt I should go back and try something else on the menu today (originally had the grilled veggie sandwich - nothing wrong with how it was made but did not like it)

Today my wife had the BUCATINI CARBONARA and I had the MAFALDINI CAIO E PEPE I took pictures of each. (I think, I asked for a vegetarian pasta haha)

Both were amazing, you can tell easily the pasta was made fresh, a much different texture than store bought (yum). I have never been to a fancy Italian restaurant but the food here I am convinced is equal to it and much cheaper. The Sauce was fantastic as well. I plan to go back and try more pastas and buy a few frozen foods and pasta sauces.

Micheal, you are awesome and I look forward to supporting your business going forward. I don't know your family but I believe after reading your story your Grandmother would be very proud of you and your cooking.

Small menu (good sign) and I couldn't decide what to get (better sign!) Food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Quaint little spot. Looking forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu.

Excellent fresh pasta, incredible pasta sauces and delicious desserts! The team is wonderful and welcoming and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place be added to your regular rotation of businesses to frequent! Stop buying pasta noodles at the grocery store, and go buy fresh handmade from Maria's!
