Maritime Inn Port Hawkesbury

Best hotel in Port Hawsburry hands down and the restaurant is great as well. I've stayed here several times for work and the hotel is normally very busy. That said it's ashame none of that money has made its way to upgrade the extremely out dated rooms and the embarrassing jail house gym. I've stayed at alot of hotels and I can honestly say this is by far the worst hotel "gym" I've ever seen. Most equipment is broken and ancient. Even home made.
So ya great hotel with great staff but desperately needed upgrades.

I will be honest and state that I am used to big city, modern hotels. This hotel is definitely not that, so I had to lower my expectations. It is an older hotel, but has been recently somewhat renovated, but is still a bit outdated, especially the bathrooms. It is loud i.e. You can hear neighbour's walking around, but earplugs should help. It is probably your best option in the area. I've stayed at the Heartstone down the street and this place is much better.

Rude front desk staff- decided to stay elsewhere due to their attitude.

Very nice hotel Two door entry. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Clean.
