Mary Brown's Chicken

Mary browns is my favorite chicken place so far in nova scotia. I love their fried chicken, sandwiches, taters, gravy, poutine. Almost everything except the spring rolls were so so. I prefer this to KFC, Popeye's, and Dixie Lee. Hopefully they open one in Bridgewater eventually!

Very rude employees, asked for extra ketchup then they went back and were laughing (talking probably about me) intentionally ignoring me

I craved drumsticks and they sold me some delicious ones! I'm not big on the sides, but that is a matter of my own taste. So, I recommend going to get some good chicken. Not too salty and what I had was juicy and flavourful!

I love Mary browns chicken but its so expensive. The chicken pop ins are my favorite by far. My only issue with this place is the cost

I have to say, I've had a number of negative experiences with regards to a certain competition's chicken dripping with grease and not always cooked thoroughly. This is not the case with this place. Wonderful staff and the food was actually cooked properly. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is due to the high price.

Bought a Blue Jays batters box lastnight from Mary Brown's in Tacoma and the lady was going to charge me $3 extra for all thighs and $1.50 for all dark meat & i said no that's ok just give me 3 small and 3 big pieces which is what comes with it like i can understand charging extra for white meat but not dark meat anyways i got my order and i started eating the taters inside with a couple of my lady friends & not a problem until after i left the store and I bit into a piece of chicken & it tasted like a chemical like cleaning agent or someting was on it and my throat had got irritated and difficult to swallow. I threw the food out in a garbage bin cause there was also a hair in the box. I was going home on the bus and called the store to tell them of my experience. They said the manager would call me in the morning. I thought the problem would go away but it never! I woke up and he never called me either so I called and he told me he'd refund me so I went to the store and as I got there he changed his mind. After I told him I called head office in Ontario. Then a lady there named Pina said in the 14 years working there that she's never heard of any chemical problems on the chicken. No one there was compasionate or willing to make things right. All i know is my throat was really hurting and I called EHS & police and the police came but said paramedics could take forever and I just said enough is enough and went home to rest and take throat lozenges take some Tylenol & drink lots of water. I am also waiting for the district manager to get in touch with me for a refund or head office to help! Anyhow i hope the food & safety crew along with Better Business Bureau will definitely investigate this place too! I will never go here again & i hope that everyone who reads this decides not to eat here either!

Nashville hot chicken sandwich is amazing, better than their original. Really enjoyed the food.

Ordered a Buffalo Mary sandwich. Was not tossed in Buffalo sauce as it is supposed to. Just applied in the top of it.

The store was extremely busy, and a lot of people were complaining that their order was supposed to be ready as they ordered on the app. When they got to the store, they still had to wait up to 30 minutes to get their order. This is due to the fact that this particular store will not start an order until the cx is in the store. For that reason, I do not recommend anyone to order from the app with the Tacoma location as the pick-up location. The Cole Harbor location will do the order from the app and can be picked up at the time the app says it will be ready. When ordering from the app, all locations should be the same. Again, for this reason, I stopped going to this location, but I was in the area and thought things may have changed. It's good to see this site has not changed anything. Guess I will continue to take my business to the Cole Harbor location

The food was good, the taters were really nice, though some potato pieces were too thick to my liking. The chicken was okay, I wouldn't say it was the best, but for $17.99 (without taxes) for a 4 piece chicken meal seemed expensive.

From the time I ordered to the time my food was ready was seven minutes. I thought this was a bit long as I only ordered the special for the day

I asked today if I buy the two peice special with waffle fries, could I get any other type of potato. No the girl said. Waffle fries seem to greasy.to bad.

First time here. The prices don’t match the quantity of food you get. The food is okay. Not much else to say. The chicken was dry.

Great service from the staff, fast cook and potatoes are fresh especially the chicken, large chicken which makes it worth it, love this place but a little pricey.

Today I encountered a problem with the companies app. My friends and I decided to order some food from Mary Brown's and I had convinced them to install the app onto their smart phone so that we can order easily and pay easily. We both started to place our orders but mine was smaller and where I was more familiar with the app I was able to place my order quicker yet my friends were not able to get their order done quickly and when they pressed send they were greeted with a message saying that the store was closed. Obviously we knew that wasn't true as I had just placed an order so we decided to call the store and see if they would take the order over the phone, when we were speaking with somebody we were told that they turned the app off because it was too busy and to place the order again because they had turned the app back on. My friend hung up the phone and tried to place the order again only to be met with the same error message. Growing more frustrated we decided just to go to the store and place the order. By the time we got there my order was obviously done and getting cold while my friends weren't able to place their order so that wasn't even prepared yet. One other time I used the app and my friends ordered naturally only for them to get their food before I did! It doesn’t pay to use the application from my experience and I think it needs to be fixed or give me fresh food next time. This makes me deduct a star from my original rating. Cashier did know I wasn’t happy and provide fresh taters when we were leaving which I appreciated. The rest of my food was cold and therefore lies the problem. Please fix this problem as I wouldn’t want anyone else to have the same experience.

This is an extremely busy location but they are good and always manage to get the food out even when really busy. Nice staff, store could use a face-lift.

Always great food won't even look at KFC with their tiny pieces of chicken mary browns has them beat hands down

Chicken really good.taters n coleslaw were awesome.tried the homemade banana pudding, will be getting it again yum!

"Rupinder" on the Cashier & her Manager "Grace"️ and all the Staff are really Friendly people, very welcoming with a nice Vibes! EVEN the people in the kitchen, i saw them working in harmony smilling to us as customers! I will definitely come again to that Branch. Best Branch
I like Mary Brown but I like it more because of this Suff
