May Garden Chinese Restaurant Sackville

Just ordered $100 worth of food from these guys. Man, what happened to this place? Will never order again. Food was gross. Threw most of it away. My food looked like it was yesterday’s thrown away garbage. Very dissappointed.

Fresh and fast. Canadian Chinese food. We grab and go with them regularly, as well as est in now and again. Friendly staff.

Food was great and got big portions.one poor girl seems to be doing everything on the floor meaning we waited a bit long to pay as we didnt want to rush her.

The owners are very nice and food is great. They have some of the best beef and broccoli I’ve ever had.

Excellent service and prompt delivery of the meals, as always they're Best for their customers and their customers are always happy as well and they return again to the Restaurant to enjoy their meals again.

Ordered the lemon chicken, ginger beef and special fried rice with shrimp.

The lemon chicken was completely submerged in the lemon sauce and lettuce that look horrible. I don’t even know why lettuce would be in the sauce? Normally the lemon sauce is on the side not poured over top? The ginger beef was the exact same way so all the coating was soggy. Disgusting. The rice had about two inches of liquid in the bottom of the container and looked gross. Will never order from here again.

Sad because growing up here, this was the BEST place for Chinese food. Now, the rice and noodles are bland, the stir fried veggies are barely cooked and flavorless, and the ginger beef / lemon chicken / chicken balls are breaded but drowning in a dish of sauce, so they are SO soggy and inedible. They also charge extra for fortune cookies now: (Will not be going back

I was on a quick lunch break. I ordered a lunch special. It arrived fairly quickly, but everything was still cold. My server offered to have it reheated, but I didn't have the time to wait.

I haven't eaten here in years. The restaurant was over-hyped then, and it still is.

Huge portions and incredible service. Our food was served on a huge platter, steaming hot. The server was so friendly. We will definitely be back!

This was my go-to spot for Chinese food since I was a child. We got take out tonight, for the first time in almost a year, and it was not good at all. The rice was flavorless, the chicken balls were mushy and the eggrolls were a weird texture. First time I have ever been truly disappointed with their food.

I love the food here but every single time we get a takeout order there is something wrong with it. Tonight we're sitting at home eating our 6 egg rolls we ordered without any plum sauce because they forgot to include plum sauce.

Definitely triple check your order before you leave. Ask them to unpack it and re-pack it in front of you.

Never ate there until we moved to Lower Sackville and wow were we ever surprised at how good their good is. The quality and value you get is really outstanding. Love their chicken balls and fried rice and their shrimp is also delicious. It's so worth the time to check out. Almost forgot but their egg rolls are so tasty.

First visit to the new location and it's a nice open, bright place. Fast service and friendly staff. The food was very fresh with portions from the combo platters being enough to take home for a small lunch. The only zonk for me is the price. Like everything else today prices are just too high. And unfortunately that means fewer visits during the year. Would I go again knowing the prices are high? Absolutely.

Food was undercooked for both meals. I wanted to love it but with undercooked meals, I found it was a waste of money. Guess I'll be sticking with long dragon

Big sized portion we all had to get a take out container to bring the food home. I had to share a meal with a friend and we went splits on it and it was the perfect amount. Lots of options and a good size dining area. They also have a public washroom.

Food was barely edible and had to throw out 2 of 4 chicken balls because the meat inside was hard as a rock and super dark in color. Won't be going back anytime soon. They didn't even give me soy sauce in the bag!

Truly unappetizing, distasteful, “Chinese” food. Do yourselves a favour and order some place else. Absolutely disgusting, and moderately overpriced for sh! T quality food.

Worst chinese food I've ever had. Dinner for the family cost $60 and everything tasted the same, like salt water, corn starch, and old broccoli. Everything was watery and flavorless, with the exception of the egg rolls which were soggy and filled with an awful meat paste. I've lived in major cities in 6 provinces, and this is by far the worst chinese food I've ever ordered. I work for a garbage company and the smell was so bad in my kitchen after 15 minutes that even I was feeling sick from it. 80% of the order went straight into the green bin before it even cooled down.

That is the only Chinese food restaurant I love. Please don't change anything. I have tired others but none compare.

Dining room staff usually do a nice job. The food is usually consistant. I have been coming here for many years. I find the past 5 years or so, quality has dropped, prices jumped, and portions shrunk. There is nothing special about the lunch special price. For those reasons and more, I have decided to take my business elsewhere- for the most part. I don’t think I’m alone either, because it seems significantly less busy than it once was- especially during lunchtime.

Went here with my girlfriend's family, it was a good time. The server was polite and accommodating to our larger crowed. There was a birthday party going on while we were there which adds to how I felt the service was. The food was really good and it was very cost effective.

Typically this restaurant is a very solid choice. You always get more than enough food at a very fair price. Any night this place is timely and very high quality, however on Christmas Eve our order, and many others were well beyond an hour and a half late despite being placed hours in advance. So just keep in mind holidays are particularly busy, however any other days a very safe choice.

With our a doubt one of the best Canadian Chinese restaurants in Nova Scotia. Egg rolls are the BEST!

Food was hot but beef and brochli was very salty chop suey was good but bean sprouts were soggy

Sauce from ribs was all over the rice and chow mein. It ruined the meal. It was a take out order.

Surprisingly good tasting food everyone enjoyed the meal. It was a fair bit on the expensive side for a weekend lunch.

May Garden Chinese Resyaurant has been around for a long time. The hood is good and reasonably priced.

We ordered our food and they totally messed up my bfs friends food so we called and they agreed to make him another. Mind you the food they gave him was like soggy soup and not what he ordered. So they drove back while me and my bfs food is at home getting cold.they get there and they didnt even make his food up! So im eating alone while their waiting for his friends food.terrible service

Not a great experience visiting May Garden's Sackville location. Went inside for dinner this weekend. Nobody came around to refill my water or ask for any refills during our visit, which they all saw my glass was at the edge of the table. The waiter was forgetful. Was given the bill, while I was waiting for rice, which never came. After our bill came from another server, our waiter later came to clean up & told us he forgot to make the order. Our fortune cookies were stale. Shocked there are high reviews for this place. Really shocked!:/
