Best seafood I've had in Halifax! For a taste of everything, try the seafood feast, it won't disappoint.

Grabbed an elaborate lunch at this restaurant. It’s hard to miss as it’s right next behind the Maritime Museum and also has a good rating on Google. My friend and I shared the appetizers. We ordered the flash fried calamari and crab bisque. The bisque was so so tasty and a decent portion. For the main, I got the fish & chips which was good. My friend got the fish fry and struggled with it as it was a bit too much of fried food on a plate. The portion was good for the price.
The restaurant is cozy and our server was very polite and nice.

We had a great fun evening here. KATE, an undergraduate at medical school, looked after us cheerfully and with a super welcoming attitude. Gave us excellent advice in choosing food and wine. It’s a comprehensive menu, with something for everyone. It was busy, but friendly atmosphere. We’d go again. And again. The crab cakes were excellent and the seafood feast was a delicious mix. Relaxing place.

I love this place. Really good food and the dessert is really good too. I had oysters for starters and of course the lobster for a main. I ordered a side of sweet potato fries aswell to bulk the meal out a little. The dessert is amazing I had the coconut cream pie. I thoroughly reccomend it.

Hands down one of the best steakhouse I have ever been to.

We were greeted by friendly staffs as soon as we walked in, and were seated right away. Food selection are plentyful and "authentic" western.

In conclusion, I have never been more happy with a meal.

I wish I could rate this restaurant at 10+, I would! The food is outstanding and the service is second to none. If you want fresh seafood, this is the place to visit.

Fresh delicious food, attentive to details and great attention to allergies. Our waiter Ryan was fantastic. We had the seafood player, the chicken mushroom pasta, the butter poached halibut, all very tasty. The coconut cream pie and white chocolate cheesecake were also up to expectations.

Excellent lobster roll and fantastic seafood chowder. The coconut creme pie was to die for. Great service from Lucas! Recommended.

We stumbled upon this establishment just walking they town well we lucked out for sure we couldn't have picked a better place to eat.
The food was Amazing.
Everything was house made it and was absolutely delicious. I would give 100 stars if I could.
Our server Ashley was incredible She knew the menu top to bottom which is very rare now a days. She was informative about NS she was an absolute pleasure to talk to and so much fun. Easy going and very helpful with meal decisions.
Oh and the Coconut cream Pie is a family recipe made fresh daily and was crazy delicious! A must have for sure.
From the time we walked in greeted by the manager to the time we left we felt welcome not rushed and very comfortable. We will definitely be going back again and we highly recommend this restaurant

Went for lunch and had the lobster roll and crab bisque. Lobster roll was so fresh and not overdressed. And the bisque was the best I’ve ever had, with lots of delicious crab meat. I absolutely loved the fresh bannock that came with the meal—it was super moist. Highly recommend!

The seafood chowder lived up to its reputation; it was fresh and delicious. The lobster roll was superb.

Ate the famous Lobster roll with seafood chowder. The lobster roll tasted extraordinary. We were 2 people so the lobster roll was only just sufficient. The chowder was served in a bowl and was excellent. The quantity was great for the chowder. The bill came to 31 + taxes. So slightly on the higher end.

Still great experience, awesome food

Ate here on the eve of Hurricane Fiona having just arrived from Ontario for a vacation. The place was packed and all the staff were working so hard. Sat at the bar to wait for a table. The food was excellent as were the drinks. I had the fish platter and my hubby the lamb shank. Would definitely return when we are back in Halifax

Fun casual dining in downtown Halifax. Crab cakes were excellent though I did unfortunately have a piece of crab shell in one. Food was reasonably priced and our server was very friendly and helpful.

Food was great had the surf and turf seafood chowder shrimp pasta. Highly recommend this spot. Service was great it was later in the night and we got a spot on the upper patio.

It is located at good location and the restaurant itself was very nice. We made a reservation for 4 at the restaurant. The food was not good. I order half lobster platter with coconut rice, salmon, shrimps, and scallops. None of the food was good. The coconut rice was too powerful with the coconut milk make it hard to eat. The dessert was also not good. The only thing that is good is the water and the raw oyster. Not recommend at all.

We got the seafood sampler and corn bread to start. The seafood sampler had a fish cake, three shrimps and two bacon wrapped scallops. All were good, the fish cake was a little soft for my liking but otherwise tasty. For our entrees we tried the seafood linguine, lobster roll, and digby scallops. All the ingredients were well cooked, portions were decent, and the flavours were delicate!

Google says open for lunch but we were greeted by a small sign saying open at 4pm until further notice. The Irish pub across the street was thriving, so we figured something was wrong. So we decided to go to the Waterfront Warehouse for instead dinner, and after a great lobster meal, we walked thru McKelvie's, Friday nite. It was dead. On its last legs. Again the Irish Bar was hopping.

I was here with my family during the summer. The food is delicious, and the lobsters feel super fresh and well-seasoned. The server was super friendly and we all had a great time. Even though a bit pricy, I would definitely recommend for anyone to try out McKelvies’ for a good experience.

Service was not best, sat down and ignored! We had poor quality service and food was not correct.
It was dry steak, lobster not the best
Just no comparison to other places! Go to salty’s, way better service snd top quality food!
So disappointed for our last meal here!

A couple of blocks from Halifax Harbour Front, but still very busy on a Friday night. Everything from the crab bisque, the lemon butter muscles, the fish cakes to the local Garrison beer was good. One of the many reasons why Halifax is a great place to visit.

Great service but tourist style seafood that was mediocre but reasonable prices. I probably won't be back.

We had one night in Halifax and I’m so very glad I spent the one dinner at this restaurant. Everything was immaculate, service, food, drinks, atmosphere.

Couldn’t ask for more

We had dinner there and went with the fresh fish platter, a side of fries, the seafood chowder, and mussels to start. The server was great and gave us happy hour prices even though we came a bit after the happy hour time ended. The mussels were incredible and the chowder was to die for! The seafood was OK; salmon was bland. Great option for fresh seafood though. And definitely recommend the Tiday Bay!

Great service, great food. Manager on duty could be seen interacting with many. Lamb shank is fall off the bone, but more gravy should be provided on the dish or on the side. Panko breaded halibut is cooked to perfection and tastes great. Had the green salad instead of potato, I recommend cranberries be added to the salad to compete it. Ovation pie could do without the chocolate sauce on the top.

Best server ever (Sarah) but the place needs more staff as she was totally overwhelmed, attending so many tables at the same time!
