Mezza Lebanese Kitchen

I thought I would try Mezza once again. I dined there a number of years ago and wrote to management regarding the heavy handed use of salt. Somebody listened because today my food was flavourful but thankfully not salty. No lamb on the menue, however, the chicken shawarma was excellent. Delicious.

Night staff always looks like they don't wanna serve you, they're just working to get their pay cheque. Always have to correct them couple of times because they always miss something, each time you correct them they had that look at their face.there's no effort and interest to serve customer. Always trying to rush everything and preparing food with rude attitude. I used to enjoy mezza now i think twice.

This place is good for late hours cravings. It closes at 12am. Food was good and affordable. Budget friendly.

Really consistently good food. Staff not the most friendly, but it's not the greatest job serving people food for hours.

They got the most racist front desk staff. The one who was at the counter cut the line and started serving the lady behind me. Worst place to order in the neighborhood.

Best place to try labanese food! Good option for non vegetarian. For vegetarian only limited option.

I went today and got 8 wraps of chicken and beef. I'm lebanese myself was so happy to find a lebanese shawarma restaurant nearby, but my family and I was so disappointed of the soggy wraps, there was no lebanese flavor in it at all, I recommend pay attention to the beef wraps sauce don't know what it was but sorry to say not tasty at all, we had to throw out the beef sandwiches, the garlic sauce doesn't taste like garlic at all. Sorry about my review but I couldn't keep quiet about the sandwiches we barely finished it.

So cheap! Portions way too small for the price.
Chicken was good do they get 2 stars for that.

The food is great, it's the time involved to get your food. I tried putting my order in on line well ahead but it took longer than if I stood in line.

Super disappointed that I asked for EXTRA garlic on my chicken Shawarma pita, but managed to get NONE. Sad. I was paying when they made it so I didn’t watch them. Lesson learned.

One of my favorite Mezza Lebanese Restaurants in HFX. It's clean and spacious inside. Staff are friendly and gives lots of food.

Their shawarma used to be good but now their quality is trash. I stopped going about 6 months ago because it got so bad (smaller portions and too fatty). Had a craving last week for shawarma so I decided to give them another try. I'm not surprised that I was disappointed again. Way too much fat and skin in the shawarma, some of it was even burnt and had the texture of jerky. I've attached a pic of all the fat I got, made up of about 30% of the shawarma.
On another note, their staff need to learn to pay attention. I said to the guy "two shawarma plates with fries. " He responded "With fries or rice? " I said "Fries". He then called in the kitchen for fries, and then a few seconds later asked me if it was with rice or fries!? ! When I got to the cash, I paid for two plates, then when they were ready he only bagged one; I had to remind him it was two!
I'm really surprised this location is still in business. Anybody know of a different late night shawarma spot I could go to?

Everytime I come here it’s top tier food and service. It’s nice that they remember me and I am greeted with a smile. The food is consistent and the portions are good. Prices have gone up but what hasn’t? Noteworthy staff who are awesome are Shakshi, monika and ravinder.

They should know their competitor Shawarma Palace is. Mezza does not have a final here in Halifax and they can be as cheap as they want to. The volume is super small. They offer only rice and potatoes are missing. The container is so small to start with and they don’t fill it up! Only a single pita comes with a plate whereas Shawarama Palace gives you two with loads of meat, veggies, and carbs. I love middle eastern food, but do not want to be ripped off just because they don’t have any better comparison in this area: (.

Why are you so cheap with your meat? It's ridiculous how little you get and the price is crazy. Mostly lettuce! I used to love mezza but I can't justify the price for what you get anymore.

Ordered a donair poutine on 04/12 at around 11pm and I must say the person who made this poutine made an amazing job. I’ve ordered poutine from here before and this was just different. 10/10. Whoever was the cook in that shift deserves their flowers! Cheers!

As Mezza gets busier (especially with on line orders) going into the restaurant has gotten worse. It shouldn't take 20 to 30 min to get a meal when there are only a handful of people ahead of you.

Clayton park location is literally the worse of them all. Never consistent. Chicken is never the same twice in a row. Whether it’s under cooked, over cooked, dark meat, white meat. It’s never the same quality. They never read instructions on the orders. Consistency with McDonald’s on messing up my order every time

Food is great, I wish they would teach the young staff proper customer service though. It seems this is a dying artform across the board. The food is delicious, however.

Well. First and last time. Ordered ahead. Saw people order and leave ahead of me with qlmost the same order. Waited 20 minutes past when it was supposed to be ready and ended up with no hummus. I got the pita though. Not sure what good it is now. Maybe i should wear it as a hat? I'd probably look as dumb i feel.

I used to love Mezza, until recently. They’ve reduce their portion sizes, without reducing the prices. The past few shawarma plates I’ve gotten come in like three different packages instead of the one big plate. I got a shawarma tonight and it wasn’t wrapped properly at all and completely broken. I miss the old mezza

From souvlaki to shawarma or plant based bowl.we have tried them all and it's excellent! I love Lebanese food! They even have a great (shawarma) poutine.

The food is very bad. I ordered through Uber. I got a bad shawarma wrap and very juicy and cool.my experience with all branches is very bad I give a zero rating

I love going here it has great and healthy food I go here a lot and enjoy it a lot especially the chicken shawarma 10/10

First day at this location, ordered 1x regular Shawarma Wrap, 1 x Shawarma Bowl and 1 x French Fries plate. Surprisingly my bill was $46.75. Tried to explain to the cashier to double check my orders, as the bill was way above what I ordered. It took the intervention of a second staff for me to get a refund of ~$15.

Unfortunate to see that Mezza has gone significantly downhill. Upon ordering a shawarma plate, I was bombarded with enough questions to fill a full page quiz!
Do I want tabouli or salad? (Standard)
Do I want pickled turnip?
Do I want pickles?
Rice/fries (standard)
And even do I want a pita?

Seriously.if I dont want something that is literally in the description of what I'm paying for, I will relay that. Even so, I was given 1 pickled turnip haha.pretty funny.

*oh! They now weigh the shawarma to save another dime*

All said and done they have that debit screen that automatically guilts you to tip, the debit machine is closer to the cashier than the customer, and I'm sure she was watching me as I selected "no tip"

My experiences with Mezza are always great. Staff are always friendly and quick. Food is always hot and fresh. Thumbs up.

Coming from Montreal is not Amazing Lebanese food however it's the best one I've tried so far. If this is 4 star

Great beats pickled turnip fresh and crispy taboule is pretty great and fresh better than Adonis taboule.
Fillet mignon sandwich or rice and wheat vermicelli could make more sense when combining the meat and rice with pita bread.

If you want dry, 3 old Shawarma that's stored and heated. Then go here. Actually go to McDonald's, even that is better then this place. Worse food in halifax.

I love Mezza. Food's great, portions are good and it's fast. They got me 4 orders up faster than it takes Tim Horton's to do coffee and a bagel. Highly recommend.

This chicken Slovakia was burned black and dried out the french fries were soggy like they've been reheated in a microwave the rice was good, but I didn't pay $33.00 for rice. The portion size was about 25% smaller than the mezza oven in Spryfield so we won't be going back to this mezza again.

I had 3 orders today @730pm and I was the only customer at the time as soon as they started plating (3 shawarma plates) I was asked to pay and in the process they hurriedly finished my order packed it ready to go. Not sure if this a destruction strategy cause it worked.as soon as I got home, I realized the food quantity was so little not worth the 14$ I spent per plate. I have been going to this place for 2 years now and I have not had any complain However today Iam not pleased. I might have to find a new spot

Love mezza, great food lots of choices for the family and healthy options as well. Great price point!

If you are gluten free, you have to watch the staff like a hawk. I have been there twice over the last 2 weeks. Each visit required the server to remake a portion or all of the food I ordered even though I said "I am gluten free, no pita"

We ordered one mixed grill platter and one chicken shawrma plate. Slovaki chicken that we got in mixed grill platter was very dry rest everything else was good.

I use to love Mezza when it first opened but now they just aren’t consistent with their portions, I ordered two donair plates the other night and when I got home and opened them the donair meat was literally about 3 tablespoons of crumbled up meat and this isn’t the first time it looked more like fried up ground beef. It was so disappointing, what happened to the nice long strips of donair meat you use to give. The portion size of donair meat has decreased a lot, now it’s more like a French fry plate instead of a donair plate

Consistent quality, very good food for a reasonable price. I think Mezza is decent value for fast food.

The food is really quite good. The schwarma plate was good and filling. The poutine portions are good, though the cheese doesn't necessarily melt.which is a bit of a negative. All in all, worth a try.

I just want to start by saying that the food is generally great, not good but great.

So why not 5 stars?

Inconsistent portion sizes is a big one, dried out pita aswell, that happens more than you would think.

But the. 89cent no starch up charge, has to be the biggest disgrace possible. Yes if you say no to fries or rice they charge you 89 cents. That's outrageous, backwards, they expect you to pay for less food! They are completely out of control

If they could create some consistency with these issues I'd eat there everyday, but since it's so random I can only handle it couple times a year

The Donair plate was reasonably sized and delicious. The person that attended to me was quite forgetful. Had to be reminded of things that should be added to complete my order.

This was my first time to Mezza and I was impressed. Fresh food, tasty shawarma chicken, hot fries, tangy pickles, what's not to love! I will be back.

One of the best fast food chains in the city. They don't sell hamburgers but plenty of chicken and vegetarian options. Delicious chicken shawarmas. They also have multiple locations around the city.

A couple of weeks ago, one of the workers saw a house fly land in someones wrap for a few seconds and continued to roll it once the fly took off. A guy in line saw it happen and called the lady out on it and she apologized. This is my go-to mezza but maybe take a look at who your hiring.

Lots of money but food is good and get lots of it. Sadly a bit hard to understand but people are nice

I hate giving bad reviews, because I know how hard people work to make their businesses successful. So let me start with the good (and remember this is a fast food place). The place is clean, the staff are courteous, ordering was relatively quick, seating options were nice (private tables or communal), serving sizes on the larger side. The bad (and I mean really bad) : the food lacked any flavour (including the sauces) - it was so bland and hardly tasted Middle Eastern. I couldn't finish it. The price was on the high side for fast tasteless food. Fix the food and the place is a winner for a fast food option.

Food has progressively gotten worse over the years. Salad lettuce was brown. Rice was not flavored and was over cooked. Alot of hard chicken pieces in my meal. Very disappointed. I used to be a regular here but the quality is getting poorer each time I visit. I doubt I will visit again except to get a piece of Baklava which was amazing

I hate to give negative reviews. But this one is needed. It was our first time at a Lebanese restaurant, so I was excited to try new foods. We walked in & it reminded me of subway.
I placed my order which the staff were very nice & helpful.

The place was quiet & 4 staff behind the counter. I was surprised for a Friday evening. (Reading my concerns below may explain the reason).

When we sat down at our table we noticed it was very sticky & chairs are just as dirty. We both looked at each other & said "eew"

The food was just regular salad bar food. Nothing exciting. They use margarine in their rice to keep it moist. "Gross"! They can use olive oil or coconut oil, something healthy. I did not have any but my hubby said it was very bad.

I used the washroom & it was disgusting. I clean for a living & I know the washroom has not been cleaned all day. Floor was very sticky & toilets had build up in the bowl that should not have been.

The music was loud & unpleasant to listen to. It did not fit the atmosphere at all.

I can honestly say we will not return. It's too bad because the staff were very nice.

Food is okay, nothing amazing. Giving such a low review because the restaurant and bathroom are always so dirty and sticky. Half the tables and benches are broken and propped up with balled napkins. Food is always super slow to receive even when it’s not that busy as well. I’d reccomended Rays in Bayer’s lake if you’re looking for good Lebanese food!

Food is excellent. Donairs, Swarma, poutine (chicken swarma poutine is to die for), they have vegetarian dishes too if you're into that silliness. Portion size is a bit big but if you're hungry they're perfect. Cost is quite reasonable, not cheap but worth it given portion size and quality. One of my top five favorite places to eat lunch.

Longer than needed wait times. Could be due to the lack of staff at this particular location. Cheese curds taste and feel like rubber. Everything else was good

What a fantastic spot! Clean, bright, and DELICIOUS food. We tried a sampling of super healthy and super "comfort" food - the chicken shawarma bowl and the chicken shawarma poutine. Both great!

Highly recommended for fans of Mediterranean and Lebanese food that find themselves in the Clayton Park area.

I love Mezza but the last time I went there they forgot the pickles and pickled turnip with my shawarma plate and I was devastated. Not sure if I'll ever get over it.: (
