Mezza Lebanese Kitchen

Worst Service in our three week trip around Atlantic provinces. They do not even know their own menu and if you ask to correct the order, it takes tgem ages to correct. Not one word like "sorry" and not even a "goodbye" - very disappointing and luckily not typical of Canadian restaurants.

FOOD IS GOOD AND FRESH.
BUT OVER PRICED FOR THE AMOUNT OF FOOD THEY SERVE,
IF THEY REDUCE THE PRICE, IT WOULD BE NICE

. Why i have to even give 1 star is disappointing. I had gone to mezza for 20 years and I haven't returned in months due to their franching and drop in food quality - Best decision I've ever made there's much better shawarma out there, trust me!

Very poor service. We went with my family and felt like we were disturbing/bothering them. The quantity is extremely small. We clearly were seated and yet they out our food in take out containers. When we asked why they said after 6pm they put their food in take out containers, YET a couple seated next to us had their meal in a full large fine in plate.
I do not recommend -Especially if you’re hungry.

There's a Mezza in Scotia Square that I was first to experience, but when they were closed today, I was happy to see there was another one not far up the road that was open today. (Canada day). I had the Donair box both times and found them to be amazing! Staff was friendly and professional. Prices were good too.

Not great not terrible. Food quality is OK in my opinion. From personal experience, it is better to not go to this place 30 mins before they close, as they typically start packing things around that time (not counting that as a negative, I get it - just pointing that out). So in case you had plans to walk in 10-20 mins before they close, chances are they won't have the item in mind. Speaking of closing hours, I am glad this location is open after 12 (during the weekend). There are not a lot of places in Halifax that stay open that late (only the weekend).

I did order a delivery several times and the 'quality control' if you will isn't the best. It's hit or miss, mostly hit. On numerous occassions they forgot a thing or two, but not enough for me to make a big deal out of it though. To each their own of course.

I personally find the prices rather expensive for the portions/quality you are getting.

Mixed grill was amazing! The gyro and chicken were tasty, juicy, and moist.

Update: to be honest, it feels like their food quality has gone down a bit. The shawarma was luke warm and didn’t taste as good as before.

You will paying premium prices for very average food. Everything is priced way more than it should be. I understand Halifax is generally expensive, but at least provide the quality and quantity- and this place will give you none. Food is pretty average/ below average.

THEY ARE CHARGING LOBSTER PRICES FOR CHICKEN/ FALAFEL!

First of all this isn't authentic, I asked for a shawerma, the guy in there didn't even ask me what I wanted in it, all of a sudden he made it with all the toppings. And when I told him I don't eat it that way, he didn't want to put any of the toppings that I want. I literally wanted 2 toppings and garlic sauce, he literally made it loud and clear he doesn't have fries, despite it being in the menu lol. It was extremely obvious he doesn't want to do it because he just doesn't feel like it. When I saw the attitude, I just took it and walked off. There is no point in arguing when you can clearly see the staff member doesn't want to help.

Additionally when I called them to voice my concern right after I left, they did offer to make a new one but when I told them the shawerma is cold, they said they don't have a toaster to heat the sandwiches. Who puts lettuce and tomatoes in the shawerma, this is no where authentic! It's literally garlic sauce, fries and pickles and toasted. How hard is that?

If you want a sandwich filled with lettuce and tomatoes and other toppings just head to subway. At least they will toast it for you.

Ordered a large shawarma and almost laughed when the girl handed it to me. It was smaller than my fist, and I'm no giant. I had to confirm whether that was a "large" which she confirmed it was. I'd hate to see a regular size - it'd be the size of a thumb. It would be laughable if it wasn't $15.74. The portion sizes sure have shrunk. Never again.

Ordered the mixed grill platter and chicken shawarma wrap. Both delicious and decent portions. Love that it's halal and so close to the waterfront.

I decided to try a new type of food, ordered a sampler plate and was not disappointed. Their hummus was a step above Sobeys, and the sauces added depth to the salad and fries. Yummy.

The front door has been broken for months. Many customers believe that the store is closed and walk away frustrated. The location is not clean either.

The food was not as the photos showed. The services are very poor. No explanation of the sauces was given. When asked he was unhelpful. I know they were busy.
We were not impressed and disappointed for sure.

Very bas experience, falafel frozen cold, shawarma frozen cold, fries zero crunch, the place was durty and the service is below unacceptable. Never again.

Good food. Quite a good variety of vegetarian choices as well. Food is fresh and flavorsome, and the service is radically quick.

I placed an online order that said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I went in 25 minutes after I placed my order. After waiting for 10 minutes to be acknowledged by staff I called someone over and inquired about my order. It hadn’t even been started yet. It took an additional 20 minutes for them to make it. It was one poutine. That’s a lot to ask if someone on their lunch break - to wait 45 minutes total for one poutine. So it was a bad experience for me and I unfortunately will not be back. You can’t charge the prices that mezza does and deliver that quality of service. It is just not appropriate.

My friend ordered a shawarma wrap from DoorDash ($30) and had it delivered to the NS Rehabilitation Centre. He paid for extra chicken and didn’t receive it. It was loaded with pickles and tomatoes (FILLERS) when he called to complain they wouldn’t do anything to help. I have since messaged them with NO reply. I guess they really don’t care about how they treat their customers. It seems to be just about money for them. SHAME ON YOU!

Healthy yet delicious food! Very friendly stuff! Mezza is always a good choice:) Also a good way to treat yourself on a busy day!

Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience to dinner at the restaurant and the food was above ours expectations

First time at Mezza loved the food, service was great and the eating area was clean. We'll be back!

Shish kabob > chicken was good (container is almost 8 inch diameter) the chicken pieces sizes are lame taste like 6.5/10
Rice they use 6/10 probably some cheap quality brown grain (tasted like it), on the up side extra skewer costed me 1.5 so not bad at all
Falafel > probably they have roo be fried like 4 times before like breaded and fried again, they might look decent in the picture but they were not edible.
And pita, store bought nothing special
Salad is good,
This meal was made at 1 hr before closing,
Uhh that's it,
Their chicken shawarma plate is better but not amazing.
Not just one person is to blame, it's the whole restaurant, cook, trainer, hiring manager, and owner.
Overall for this meal 4/10, go for McDonald's or some fast food chain, they will get you same food almost every time
