Minato Sushi Japanese Restaurant

Amazing good food! Prices have recently been updated as well, so here is the most up to date menu as of June 2023. I’m from the west coast and the first spot I dined in here on the east coast was Minato sushi! The old school pink classic building just stood out from the rest of the surrounding buildings. It’s well worth it! And it’s only run by husband and wife, super kind and generous vibes from them. Recommend trying it if you are looking for some good Japanese food.

The worst Japanese restaurant ever. The food is overpriced and the service is not very friendly. Definitely not worth it.

Stopped by for lunch. They weren't open on time but it didn't take too long for service to start. The broth was good although I feel like the toppings were lacking in variety and quantity in comparison to what I would expect based on how much I paid.

In any case, food came quickly, staff were friendly, and restaurant felt quite cozy. It was a good experience.

There were only 2 vegetarian sushi options, but the veg dragon roll was very good! Unfortunately, the chef was a little sick, and made the roll without a mask and breathing through his mouth (nose was stuffed) and sniffling throughout. Again, the roll was great! But if I wasn't starving, I would have asked for either a newly made roll, or more likely, wouldnt touch it, pay for it and leave sadly.

Minato is one of Halifax's best hidden gems! I've been a customer of theirs for well over a decade and the food is always the best quality and the best flavours. My main go-to for Japanese food in Halifax

Such a cozy place! Food was prepared quickly and was absolutely delicious!

We had dinner early so it was quiet. The service was very good and the food was great. We have eaten here many times.
