Incredibly slow service. We were there for almost 3 hours from start to finish, most of that time was spent on waiting: waiting to order, waiting to get drinks and food and even waiting forever to get our bill. It was not a pleasant experience.

We ordered some anjitos and spinach dips and stuff food was really great but the service was not that good lady was not good with the customer service her name was Sofiya she seemed very serious didn’t asked for water and forgot some orders quite bad expressions, No offense but just an honest review!

Our waitress Tara was a sweetheart! We asked her to split the bill in a sort of complicated way and she made it work for us and was so awesome the entire time! The food was fast and delicious, absolutely recommend.

Service was great, but the waiting time was too long. I waited for my steak for more than 30min and when I receive my food it kind of disappointed. Really hard to chew the steak and also no taste.

They Never disappoint. Always Fabulous service. Huge Menu. For these reasons alone I always recommend meeting here for lunch. Five star ️

The food for two of the three people who had burgers/sandwiches were lukewarm at best. I expect my burger to be hot when it arrives at the table.

Montana’s never fail to give a 5 star experience. We love going there, from the staff to the food, it’s exceptional!

Montanas offers a huge menu! I finally decided on the ribs, taster size. Along with the ribs I had french fries and slaw. It also came with a small square of cornbread.

The ribs were fantastic. The meat pretty much fell off the bone. The French fries were okay. Loved the slaw. The cornbread was a little underwhelming.

I liked that lots of napkins were provided. Ribs can be so messy!

I've eaten at many Montanas over the years but tonight I had the worse experience at Montanas in Bayers lake. My son and his wife and their 2 children as well as my other daughter and myself went out for supper and had absolutely terrible service. 25 minutes to get any drinks and when they did arrive only half of them were there. Food was delivered with missing food off of the plates and wrong side orders. After waiting 15 min for the missing food when I went looking for my food I was meet with an aggressive manager who told me I should eat my food as it came and these things do happen. After another 15 min wait for the rest of my meal I was brought the missing part of my entree by the manager and berated at the table loudly in front of my family and the whole restaurant for wanting my food. As I was finishing my meal another waitress brought my bill and we hadn't even gotten the kids deserts or the deserts included with 3 of the adults meals. Once again I asked if we could possibly get the rest of our meals before we were given a bill. Again the manager attacked me verbally in front of my family and loud enough for most if the restaurant to hear. She accused me of making her waitress cry while this same waitress was standing behind her laughing and carrying on with a table full of young men behind us taking photos with a phone. I explained repeatedly we just want our food. It took 3 more attempts to get the deserts. Another confrontation to get a take out box and the 2 seperate bills as requested instead of 1. Never again Montanas. It's to bad when the food did come it wasn't terrible it would have passed with a better waitress and managers attitude

Went on a weekday and it was not very busy and we had Exceptionally slow service
If you have kids and just want to eat and go I would not recommend.
All of us ordered very simple to make items.
Wings were not that great low level pub food at best

We went for our wedding anniversary and had an awesome time. Tara was our server and she was amazing. The food came hot and cooked to order and in a good time. 2 thumbs up!

Stopped in for dinner and had a great meal. Staffs [ Ashley & Jack ] was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu offering great recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. The dishes were delicious.

We had an awesome lunch there. Our servers, Darcy and Kayla were delightful and very attentive to us. Very personable people, really wonderful to see people genuinely happy at there workplace James was also a very nice person, who knows how to be make people feel welcome. Thank you

Lovely server, good service.but a gross plate of nachos. They arrived nicely presented but one bite and I knew that they were made in a microwave. They quickly congealed into a gros solid mass of molten cheese and soggy corn chips. Inedible. I mean, $20 for a plate of nachos, no meat, and they don't even take the time to produce something toasted, crunchy and appetizing that gets heated in an oven.
Not acceptable. Sorry. Not eating there again.

Ordered the lunch rush. Which is half a sandwich and it came with a soup. The sandwich was an hour wait and when they gave it to me, it was very tiny. Ended up leaving since the waiter didn’t care about the table and I was never given the soup that came with it.

We absolutely love dining at your Bayers Lake location. The food is delicious but most importantly the staff running it go above and beyond. They are all very attentive, friendly & give great service which makes for a very enjoyable experience. Thanks to everyone there.

I will never step foot in this place again! My wife and i went to this place to have a celebration with a friend and we had to pay twice! We had used the points from my wife’s credit card and even showing to the manager in my app that he had charged us all the points he said that it hadn’t worked and wouldn’t let us leave without paid for the bill AGAIN.

Went there tonight. My son ordered the 25.00 steak meal.the steak was not cooked to what he asked, it was send back and he received another steak meal. This steak was still not cooked to what he asked. The manager came over and apologize and said she would adjust our bill
. $ 6.50 is what they took off the bill which total 85.00. Will never go there again. They should have taken more off or we should not have to pay for a steal meal that was terrible.

Darcy and Kayla are always so warm and welcoming and deliver the absolute best service! I love coming to Montana’s to see their bright smiling faces and to enjoy great food and drinks along with wonderful conversations with these two! Thanks ladies! ️

Food is good, service is really good they are always on the ball with things. Definitely recommend trying here during the summer for their all you can eat rib special

Our server Jasmin was absolutely horrible. She took shots with a table of men multiple times and didn’t check up on my family and I. We will not be coming back.

First meal of the day, absolutely famished.
Ordered "Canadian Burger, Eh" with mashed potatoes. Totally hit the spot. The burger was cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes had the perfect texture, topped them with sour cream and pepper.
Darcy & Savanna were the servers, the are amazing, checked in to see how it was, and ensuring I didn't have a mouthful when they asked. These two ladies know their stuff.

Had a decent dining experience here Sunday July 24 2022. First time here in about 5 years.

We were seated quickly, the restaurant was not full but busy. It was very cold inside, both my wife and daughter had to wear a sweater while seated.

Our server, Kristen, greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. We placed an app (spinach dip) order before ordering our mains and it arrived to the table quickly, it was hot and tasted very good.

Not a long wait for our mains once ordered, they were the buttermilk fried chicken, the full rack of ribs and wing combo, and a grilled cheese sandwich.

Rib and wing combo tasted great. The ribs were just a tiny a little over cooked on one end. The cut of meat was very good, possibly the best I've had in a restaurant. No big chunks of fat or cartilage, just meat and bone. Wings were large, cooked nicely and sauced well, no complaints.

The buttermilk fried chicken was an incredibly small portion, the piece of chicken being slightly bigger than a Jr. Chicken patty from a fast food joint. The garlic mashed potatoes were not much of a bigger portion, hidden under the small piece of chicken. They both tasted very good, but unfortunately the dish was more plate than food.

We were not asked for drink refills until our food was all gone and we were ordering dessert, which was the apple crumble. It was tasty, and of course very sweet.

Overall not a bad dining experience, we would come back, but not on a regular basis.

They don’t even deserve one star got food poisoning the next day. I would definitely not recommend anyone to eat from. Wish i didn’t either. I have eaten from multiple places in halifax but never got sick.

Went to Montana's for supper. It was our first time in that restaurant.
When we walked in, the person greeted us friendly and nice.
I asked for a booth. As we sat down we noticed our table was not cleaned at all. We did not want to make a scene.
The servers were nice and the food tasted great.
About a few hours later after we left my wife become ill. She spent along time in the washroom.
From 9pm to 2am she was ill. She finally went to bed 2: 30 and was fine in the morning.
We thought it just might be a flu or a cold.
Flu and cold would last few days to a week, we now know it was not that.
We can not say if the cause was the food or the table.

I was sadly disappointed with our food. We ordered take out. Ribs were dry, fries were soggy. Spinach dip - nacho chips were stall and dip container wasn't even half full. Wings were like store bought frozen. Perhaps dining in is better but I will never order take out from there again!

We enjoy the small lunch menu. Seems to be just enough food with some options and price is good for what you get. So far, the service has always been quite good.

A standard go to for family birthday dinners. Always great service and wonderful servers. Food was delicious and everyone's was ready at same time.hard to do with a large group.

Had the 10 oz sirloin steak and it was flavorless and tough. Loaded baked potato left a lot to be desired too. Service was slow but understandable, however paying and not having the debit machine collected by the server isn't great.

Tried 3 times for takeout on 3 different nights and yet have gotten home with all of our food. I understand mistakes happen especially when it's busy but tonight wasn't one of those nights. I suggest you check your bags before leaving.

The ambience was really clean and sweet.if you wanna have a fun time, Lauryn is your Girl.she made our experience even better.tasty food and drinks.

Picked up our 2 large rib dinners, bag was taped closed and had written on it to not accept if seal is open. Good ribs and fries with beans, disappointed there was no fresh corn bread as was supposed to be. It seems so difficult to get what restaurants advertise.

I love Montana's! The food is delicious and there is a great atmosphere! It's great for couples or for the whole family.

Walked in ahead of other groups and got entirely ignored by staff as they found tables for others while we stand around with two impatient children waiting to be seated. Have zero time for this place.

Second time in a three week period to receive a cold meal. Waitresses were awesome both times but something is going on with the kitchen that they cannot serve hot food. First time steak over cooked and cold, second time perfect cook but again cold. Butter wouldn't even melt on the baked potato and the side onion rings cold. Other folks with me had lukewarm meals.
Waitress last night was awesome and advised the manager would be over, checked back and still no manager visit by this time I advised don't ask her for the third time to visit as it it too late now.
Again wait staff was great but that is where it ended.
Disappointing food experience. Not sure if I will return but it certainly will not be for a steak.

Was my first time here and I love it! We got kapow shrimp for appetizer and ribs and wings for the main meal. The kapow shrimp was super tasty, and it was bigger than I expected. I got the honey garlic sauce for my ribs and wings, and it was so delicious! I also like their corn bread and coleslaw, only the fries were a little bit too salty. I had a good time there for sure! Definitely will go back again soon.

The food was good, however I had problems with their covid protocols.

They sat us in a row of booths directly behind a booth already in use when there were 2 other empty booths we could have been spaced out in. A few minutes later they placed another group in the other booth beside us sandwiching us between them. There were small barriers between the booths but there were large gaps air could flow between them. With the barriers, there was less than 2 meters distance between customers even when you measured around the barrier. If you measured directly through the barrier it would be less than 0.5 meters.

To top it all off, the restaurant was at less than 1/4 capacity. 2 hours before close they had already stopped using half their space and were only seating in one half of the restaurant. When we were seated, that half was about 1/3 full. When we left it was about 2/3 full and they still weren't seating half of the restaurant.

After moving ourselves over distancing concerns, someone came to speak to us (I'm assuming a manager). She told us health inspectors were in and claimed they were ok. It kinda felt like she was telling us 'we were told this is ok, you're just being ridiculous'. I see no way this setup could be considered socially distanced, if they did get proper authorization then I feel this is a failing of health canada.

Regardless, even if it's legally ok to seat people in that close proximity, why wouldn't you spread out customers when you have plenty of space? Closing down half your tables 2 hours early and cramming all your customers together in the remaining half just cause you can and it speeds up closing slightly isn't smart. Seating two tables side by side when there's a row of 4 tables, and you could put an empty table between them to distance them, isn't smart. It's going to upset customers who'll choose other restaurants that are smarter about their protocols.

They have sweet staff members, always welcoming and super friendly. Totally recommended if ya wanna enjoy some good time.

Ordered the ribs & wings, had sweet potatoe frys and Chipotle sauce, it was all delicious! Highly recommended and definitely will be going back!

Went here last night as a party of 4. Ordered appetizers and was constantly bugged to order our main. We were all feeling rushed! Then, ordered our main and was incredibly disappointed. Our friends meal came without the gravy she ordered, and her husbands steak wasn’t cooked the way he ordered, it was cooked well done when he asked for medium rare. I ordered buffalo tenders which were plain, and not buffalo. The sauce I ordered with them was also wrong. Horrible experience!

The server was great! The rest. What a waste of money. I will never eat here again. All of the food was cold. This expensive place only cares about getting your money. Stop scamming people.

Amazing and friendly service by the staff.
Food was delivered promptly and efficiently all the while being absolutely delicious. A generous offering of sizes for various beers is definitely a welcome to their dishes of ribs and wings.

I honestly was left with such a great impression that I cannot wait to return.

Went as a party of 4. One of my friends dishes arrived cold to the touch, and my dish arrived incorrect. Server then argued with us about if the dish was correct or not. Was pretty unprofessional.

My husband and I were at your restaurant on Chain Lake Rd at 12: 30 the service was terrible and the food was horrible flat no taste what so ever. Their were no condiments on the table after our fries were cold the waitress come by to ask if we needed anything. A little too late also seen another waitress clean the table beside us wash the seats then put the same cloth on the table to clean it that is the dirtiest most discusting thing anybody could ever do. We have eaten several times in your restaurant and never had a day like today.
