Mr Fish

I just wanted a quick burger, but on whim I ordered the fish tacos too. The burgers were good, but OMG, what a life-changing decision to order the tacos. They’re some of the tastiest fish tacos I’ve ever had; the special sauce was so deliciously garlicky and they were so large I needed a fork to eat them. I’ve driven past this place so many times and I’m glad I finally gave them a try. I’m driving back there today for another round. Not to be outdone by the tastiness of the food— the staff were all smiles and super friendly and on the ball. This is my new favourite place in the area.

Been here a couple of times now. Seems to be pretty busy throughout the day. Service was great! Food was mediocre. Only ever had the chicken and fish cakes. Both were very plain. My parents argue that the value is in the fish and chips here but doesn’t really stand out from the other fish and chip spots if you ask me. Large fillets though. Prices are reasonable.

Mr. Fish is a must visit if you’re in the Shelburne area. My husband and I came for lunch and split an order of the Newfi Poutin and the fish tacos. The poutine was good, but the tacos were excellent. We should’ve just gotten two orders of tacos. The staff were super friendly and the reason we ordered the tacos. We even got a complementary dessert when the server discovered we were visiting on our honeymoon. I would definitely love to return if we’re in the area again.

What a delightful little place. We had some time to kill doing stuff in Shelburne - stopped in for lunch and enjoyed delicious clams, a lobster burger and some excellent local crafted vodka soda drinks. Extremely friendly staff and great service!

Poutine = delicious
Fish tacos = excellent

Their portions are really good- they don’t cheap out on stuffing the fish tacos. Friendly people and chill atmosphere too. Love this spot!

Batter on the fish was undercooked; "seafood platter" was 2 pieces of fish, 6 scallops, and a huge amount of... Mussels? Clams? They were unidentifiable. They put our cole slaw in the containers with hot food, so it was warm, which was gross. My son had lobster poutine- he said that was good, at least. $140 for 5 people. There is hardly any parking, no outdoor dining, and when we arrived we were asked if we'd made a reservation, something we had no way of knowing was required. We only got takeout because they were unable to accommodate us.

The batter on the fish wasn't fully cooked. The seafood platter had something in it that tasted weird and inedible. The breaded shrimp was ok and the lobster poutine was good

Everything you need to know about this restaurant can be distilled down to this simple fact: The products they offer are of such a high calibre, and the volume of business is so high, that the owners of this establishment can easily prosper by only being open half the year. The other restaurants in town must circle this restaurant's opening date each year, as it marks the point when their takings plummet. Yes, everyone goes in Mr. Fish with good reason, as you will quickly see for yourself.

Me. Fish not only has the very best fish in Shelburne but serves the freshest fish I’ve ever had. A fine, low key and very friendly family establishment.

I'm not one to dole out praise at the least provocation, but in this instance, it would be an affront to this restaurant not to do so after my experience there. The service was the faultless, and the product served was prepared far above the industry standard. Eating out in Shelburne is an extremely grim undertaking independent of ordering from Mr. Fish, so I'm very pleased that the owners are scrupulous about maintaining their high standards.

Hurrah for Mr Fish, he's off the scales when it comes to dining in Shelburne! Recently moved to the area we've not had much success, having tried all the restaurants, we've been disappointed and was putting all of our faith into Mr Fish who opened for the season today (May 5th). Thank the Sea Gods you lived up to your reputation. Lovely plump moist fish, generous portions and service above and beyond expectations. Looking forward to sampling more of your menu

Great place, little pricey, I personally just wish they were open year round. Definitely recommend checking it out between May and January.

I ordered the scallop burger with fries and coleslaw. It was amazing! Loved every bit of it! Very quick service and very nice staff! Well worth the money and will deffently be coming back!

I dine in often, the staff is always friendly, atmosphere is welcoming, and food is service is fantastic!

We had people pick up for us here as we are in quarantine oh, how I love their cheeseburgers not to mention the quick and fast service

One piece of fish and onion rings. The fish left puddles of grease in the container, parts of the batter was raw.
Ordered a pop and never got it.

Delicious fish and chips and friendly service. Will certainly be back.
