Mr. Lube + Tires

Asked for conventional oil multiple tmes; made it very clear. I get my bill, $126. They put synthetic in even though I specifically said no to this. They did nothing for their mistake

Arshdeep is an excellent serviceman and I want management at this location to know it, he has serviced my vehicle at least 4 times now and he goes above and beyond every single time. He’s friendly, hard working and very attentive. The excellent service at this location has earned a customer for life.

I showed up yesterday at the Dartmouth location at 4: 15 pm.for a tire change. There was one car in a bay, and two vehicles waiting. The guys came out and told me they were done doing tires. They open until 8pm! I asked if I could just wait and he said no when we are done we are done. I would get it if there was a huge line or close to close but FOUR HOURS? ! Ridiculous.

Excellent service from both Bayers Lake and Penhorn Mr. Lube. 100% score on all fronts. Kind, courteous, fast, and efficient. Breath of fresh air being treated with such respect. Please share with the staff as they deserve some praise.

Halifax Mr Lube terrible. Slow and the attendant was rude and a liar. He said 25 mins with one car in front. After 45 mins and watching the tech socialize and be on the phone I addressed this and was told by the same person “I never told you 25 mins” and the car was getting its oil drained.
I told him it does not take 40 mins to drain oil and left. So much for quick drive through service.
I went to their Dartmouth location and was in and out 30 mins oil change and tire rotation.
Very professional in Dartmouth and the manager of Halifax could learn a few things from her.

Disappointing service at this location. I went in for an oil change before a trip to NB, the service was decent, the tech friendly enough. Actually tipped $20. As I was pulling into my destination, I heard my car dragging something. It was the shroud that protects the oil pan and transmission from road debris. It was hanging on by 1 screw. So, now I am laying on a road, having to take the shroud off.all because the fella in the pit had one job, and failed. I have been hearing some rumblings about Mr Lube doing this in other locations and telling folks they do not need this part, or that its rusted out and cant be put back on. This is an integral part, meant to protect valuable parts of your vehicle. Do not let an oil tech, tell you that millions of dollars in engineering research by an auto company means nothing, compared to their opinion.

By far the worst place I’ve ever gone to get an oil change. Turned down more costumers there than they even took in because their turnover rate is about an hour a car. Told me I’d be waiting an hour ended up waiting 2 and left. If I could give less than 1 star I would

Been going for years with multiple vehicles. Always great customer service no matter who was working. Will always be my go-to for oil changes!

I've always been impressed with the service at Mr. Lube Portland Street. The staff are professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

Called to find out if they had Nitrogen fills available for my Jeep (Feb 11/23). The guy proceeded to argue with me about the benefits and then hung up on me. Rude to possible future customers? Will never come here!

One of the employees names Yug was amazing. His service was great. Manager was super friendly. Suggestion were awazing.

Went in because I heard a clunk in the back and it turns out the person who put on my tires previously installed them incorrectly and a lugnut had come completely loose. They brought me in and fixed me all up free of charge. Very friendly and very helpful. Will be coming back

It is 7 pm you guys are closed at 8 I went there to get one tire switched from rim to tire off the car.and your ignorante working ignored everything I was saying.so I will be telling everybody bout this experience.be closed at 7 if u dnt take anybody else. Super quick oil change, only waited for ~30m and got a free set of wiper blades (ongoing promotion at time of review apparently). David was super friendly and knowledgeable, and it was easy to see the team gets along at a glance.

Was a short wait to get in this time. About 20 mins for an oil and filter. Didn't go for the service upgrades. $75 for a cabin filter change. Too much.

They are friendly, but like many business they are short staffed. Waits are long, and after an hour wait, I got to pull in to find out they did not have the correct oil.

Had the oil changed, and the service was very fast. I did not even have to get out of my car I was greeted in the parking lot and told how long I had to wait before they could do the service. They also changed the air filter and the cabin filter.
Unfortunately after getting home I checked the price of a new cabin filter and found out that It cost almost 3 time what I could have paid for the same thing at CT. Oh well I will have to be more careful next time.

I love that they have a screen so you can see what you're being charged for before paying. I believe the owner worked on my car. She was great and thorough.

One of the managers did my oil change and he gave me great and reasonable advise about maintaining my car on a budget and gave me a cold glass of water while I was waiting. It was very convenient and quick service. Will be going back!

I drive my father's car once a week to keep the battery charged. Went here for an oil change because it was time.

After the oil change, my brakes stopped working properly. Regular mechanic said the break line was damaged and leaking, and that my breaks could fail at any time because of it.

The timing seems too perfect to be coincidence. The car isn't due for it's next inspection until next year, and it isn't driven often or hard enough to warrant the damage incurred. Frustrated because I feel this is the fault of negligence. Won't be back.

Had my oil changed here 2 weeks ago, they overfilled my tank and I drained out at least a litre of black oil before the level was correct, which means they clearly didn't empty my oil tank.

But! I went in there today for oil change and one of the staff recommended to do the fuel system cleaning. I did that too.
I came home and went to work.on my way to work.my car stopped all of a sudden in the middle of the road. I was able to smell oil! And the engine light was also on. I got scared and I didn't know who to call. So I called Mr.lube and the guy told me there could be some problem and to come in the morning. So I appreciate the customer service ofcourse. But I am not sure what happened. I couldn't believe that my car stopped in the middle of the road! Because it is a brand new car.
I am so sad and disappointed.

Unprofessional staff. Told us to wait 30 min and even after 1.30 hrs no response. Had to leave at last. Avoid this place.

Friendly service and they use my favorite oil from LiquiMoly for my VW. They check all fluids, wash your windows, reset oil maintenance and check all your lights/signals. Recommend.

They cracked the transmission fluid tank area and said they fixed it perfectly and that there would be nothing to worry about Had a roadtrip the next day and found out my transmission fluid was leaking so had to spend a fair amount of money to get it fixed somewhere else last minute.

Only reason for giving this a 2 star rating is because the sweet lady that came out to greet us was very kind.

We were told a 30-45 min wait upon arrival, and decided to wait it out. We had a nail in our tire (approx 4.5 inches away from the outer wall of the tire). They said it would be a $40.00 fix ($46.00 after tax) which we were okay with. After waiting about an hour, we were directed in, and told that our tires were too worn, and that the nail was too close to the wall of the tire. I said that would have been nice knowing about an hour ago before we had to wait the hour. The guy said “Well, we’re not going to come out in the rain and check your tire”, and started humming and hawing about how if I get into an accident it’s my fault due to the tread on my tires. Thanks for info. They tried giving me a quote for 4 new tires. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I’m no expert, but rather than to have your paying customers wait an hour, for something that you could have taken less than a minute to observe, and I’m SO SORRY - in the rain.would have been a nice practice of customer service. My brother fixed my tire, with no issues, in less than 5 minutes. Keeps it’s pressure, and works just fine.

You can keep your ‘complimentary coffee/paper/wifi’. I want my hour back.

The convenience factor is what plays a part here. The cost of the synthetic oil change here vs the dealship was about $30.00 more. If I wasn't about to go on a roadtrip I would probably just take my car to the dealer.

Went for an oil change but couldn't due to a heavily rusted oil pan. The staff there still went above and beyond to help us. Because of their extreme kindness we will be doing a lot more business with the. Thanks ️

Very dedicated employees and a great manager: Jason, he took the time help find what was wrong and told us exactly what we needed to do and what part to replace, and we even needed our oil filter loosened up but hand tight and he didn't even charge us for it. Great service! Great staff! Keep up the great work!

Pulled in with a flat tire, just so happen to be the place I pulled over. Well Dave said just pull in I'll swap it for your spare for free, get you on your way again. Service was immediate and fast. Thanks to him with the lift I didn't need to do it in 30 degree heat, 6 year old with me, factory jack and wrench. Cheers

First visit for oil change. Excellent experience. Prabhpreet Singh Provided very nice customer service. He did really a great job in short time. He check everything of my car like all filters, air pressure in tires and washer fluid very well. Surely visit again for next oil change.

good video but dont ever use these guys i went to the one in dartmouth ns.with my 2017 ram pick up and got oil changed.went home next morning went out started my truck and got half way work and truck quit.had it towed and dodge checked it over and said oil had 5 litres to much oil and seized engine up.went back them and told them what happened and was told it not there fault so im out a engine and wa to work over there messup. 7k later got my truck fixed and will never suggest or go mr lube ever agian

Awesome customer service. I forgot to ask for my free wipers. I sent an email and the store manager got back to me in less than a half hour. I love going there for an oil change. It takes less than 15 minutes where other places you are stuck in a waiting room for more than an hour.

The staff here are very friendly. They're not pushy about upselling. While it's convenient to not have to make an appointment, I've never had a wait of less than 30 minutes to get in, so you so need to plan for that, and the prices are nearly as high as at the dealership.

Got my winter tires changed and they let me know I needed a new set of summers and disposed the old ones free. However, I was charged 75$ extra for new lug nuts, their were clearly no new lug nuts replaced so I suspect it was a false charge to get more money or they dident bother to even use a new set.

Polite friendly service, they will make suggestions based on factory received service that should be done, but are always understanding and willing to take no for an answer.

I was advised that the wait to have my seasonal tire change done would be 3.5-4 hours. I was in the bay at two hours and done after 40 minutes.

I enjoyed my visit to Mr. Lube The friendly staff lubed my doors, checked my engine fluids and filters, changed my oil and tires all at the same time, plus gave me a coffee and newspaper. No appointment necessary.

Super helpful, knowledgeable staff here. Thorough check of fluids, lights, etc.and explanations of why they recommend any additional services. Quick, efficient and well trained staff that make you feel like a valued customer.

Great service. I visit there for first time and the technician Sam have a wide knowledge about all services and he helped me to know the condition of my vehicle and did my all service very proficiently. Trust worthy. Highly recommended.

June 26 2020 marked my first visit to Mr. Lube, although I have faced a small issue with the service performed on my truck the shop deserves more than 5 stars for one simple reason, I have never fully comprehended what customer service means until I met with Mr. Lube, the owner personally made time for me within 3 hours of me going back to them and had his experienced mechanic jason inspect the issue to confirm it, the issue that has a 1 in a million occurence rate so dont worry you probably wont face it, but I was extremely impressed in the effort placed to make it right. This shop definitely stands by their products amd more importantly cares about their customer's satisfaction, they made sure that I would leave their shop happy, and want to earn any business or customer no matter how small, whether you have 1 car or a fleet of vehicles you will get the same excellent treatment. I can simply say that no words can explain the customer service that they offer as no matter what I say I would never be able to do them justice in that sense. In addition to the excellent customer service they offer, their employees educate you on how vehicle lubricants work and how important it is, as someone with a small mechanical background I was impressed with that as I haven't seen that anywhere in the world except at Mr. Lube. Furthermore if they notice something else wrong with the vehicle they would inform you so that you can have a safe vehicle. Overall I was extremely satisfied with their customer service, and would definitely give them another chance and perform future work on my vehicles there in the future, they definitely earned my trust back after the excellent and friendly customer service I have received.
