So much history here! The Christmas Village setup at this time of year is huge! There's something interactive for people of all ages. They also have a fantastic gift shop!

A lot to see and practice. For a family with young children, they can easily spend a whole day in there.

We visited with an age range from tiny tyke to bonafide elder.everyone enjoyed their visit. We played with the toys and used the complimentary wheelchair.

The docents are friendly and informative. The displays are easy to understand and very interesting. I really felt like I learned a lot about Nova Scotia's history, and its time as a powerhouse in early Canada's development.

Parking is great. Handicap accessible. Washrooms are clean. It's a wonderful place to spend a few hours on chilly days, or to beat the heat in the summer.

Two adults who enjoyed the museum. Lots of history and artifacts about local industry. We enjoyed the live demonstration of the machine shop. Also the traveling exhibit on women of the Seas. We spent a couple of hours there and probably could have stayed another if time wasn't a constraint for us.

Exceeded our expectations! Fantastic museum with so much to experience hands-on. My 4-year old even asked to go back again the next day.

One of our yearly trips is to this place. It's so very cool well laid out. Great for little kids, big kids and Adults. If you love trains it's a must go! They have two real trains and one model train set up. But they have much more then just trains. They have a great exhibit on how they used to make glassware as in plates and they explain how pharmacies used to make pop. It's pretty cool and if there's some places that are interactive as well. Also have a play area inside build like a train. They have a section on the history on mining.

It was a really great musuem. Sure, it isn't that big, but the Curator was really interested in what was shown and demonstrated some of the machines in action. All in all, we spent around 2 hours here. I also recommend this place for little children; there are some interactive parts to this musuem which I imagine qould be great for them!

Visit the place and you will be thrilled how diverse Nova Scotias industry was and still is.
A place with lots of activities also for the little ones, including a Muppet show three times a day.

Was a very nice museum! Some things broken in the water section and some NS crystal needing to be washed - but absolutely worth a visit!

This was a really fun experience, took my 11 year old daughter who had already been and she had a great time second trip!

This is a great place to check out the history of industry.

That being said, this is not a dig on the museum, it is great. But what you will quickly learn is how so many people in the area despise any industry or jobs. They protest every industry and get it closed.

So come and see how fruitful NS could have been with an economy and jobs.

Spent the afternoon here. Lots of interesting information, even for those who grew up in NS. My teens enjoyed the interactive displays, even the ones geared toward kids:)

As a local, I greatly enjoyed my recent trip to the Museum of Industry. We took family visiting from out of town and even I learned something new! There are new exhibits, and there is something for all ages!

Our museum-loving child did not want to leave even after going through everything twice. So interactive, and they have an amazing gift-shop. Only negative is that they don’t have even a coffee or vending machine, or any sorts of snacks and nothing is walkable either.

Amazing and informative time with our guide Lauren, hopefully you are lucky enough to be approached by her and have her give you a guided tour; never been this far east in Canada and I regret it, Nova Scotia is underrated come here and see what everyone including myself has been missing out on. Thanks again for the guided tour Lauren, learned so much about Nova Scotia!

Interactive exhibits include model water wheels (turbans) and steam engines (operated with compressed air).

The artifacts are unique and include train locomotives, ingots, automobiles, and a pump house.

A tasteful and sobering exhibit on the dangers if mining reminds us of the need for safety, training, and technology.

Stopped in while my fiance was visiting from the USA. It was great to be able to show him a bit of history of the area, and the Mastodon was a great bonus!

Fun interpretive and educational museum on the history of not only Nova Scotia but Canada as well. As it starts with the coal mining that helped shape and lead us into today's era
