Oaken Barrel Pub

Tried it out on a recommendation from someone local. The food was fine, but it didn't quite do it for us. Will give credit that they are generous with cheese on their garlic bread and in their Mac & Cheese, but the Mac & Cheese definitely needs an add on (maybe bacon or pulled pork).

Ceilidh was wonderful. I had her suprise me with her favorite food. She was very cheerful and made me feel welcome. The food was good but i would come back for the service.

We unfortunately had a long wait (over an hour after ordering) for a so so meal. Plenty of "sorry for the wait" but no explanation as to why. I didn't appear that we were the only ones waiting.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Oaken Barrel Pub and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff and the inviting ambiance of the pub.

The menu is extensive and offers a wide variety of delicious options, from classic pub fare to more elevated dishes. Everything I tried was prepared perfectly and tasted absolutely amazing. The beer selection was also fantastic, with a great variety of craft beers and ciders.

What really stood out to me, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care about ensuring I had a great experience. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed.

Overall, I highly recommend Oaken Barrel Pub to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The food, drinks, and service are all top-notch and I can't wait to go back again soon

Second time there. Service was great. Food was decent. The waitresses busted their butts on a busy Saturday. There was only two of them working.

We went before close, the bar tenders were very attentive, and the place was clean. We had a great time!

Well that was a good time! Met some friends for lunch around 1pm on a Saturday. We were greeted immediately by the friendliest little thing! Sorry I didn't catch her name, but she was great! Attentive, friendly, adorable, quick! Had a couple Caesars.perfect. Had the Whiskey Burger.deeeee-licious. With fries.super crispy. Highly recommend, don't understand why the place wasn't packed. Everyone should just get there! Mean it!

Great food and service. Very friendly staff and the portions were well worth the cost. Building could use some renovations but was clean and cozy.

On the first visit, this place had worked in my small table during a huge reservation they were holding with no questions asked. Service and food was great!

Great people and beer options. I do recommend they have more plant based options on their menu. Veggie burger would be fantastic.

I have had the same drink about 6 times and its never made the same way twice! Its a thing now to keep ordering it and see what way it will be made next time.

The mac and cheese is good. And the quesadillas are really great. Like the nachos too

My wife, son and I dropped by the Oaken Barrel Pub for lunch on a Tuesday and were met with a smiling and helpful Kaylee who was excited to suggest some of the spectacular items after hearing we were traveling and hadn't visited the restaurant before.
A procurement of a highchair later and some discussion on what might be the best to order and we were on our way with lunch.
The food itself was fresh and hot, delicious and prompt. All staff we interacted with were beyond pleasant and made us feel welcome!

In closing, the place is a lovely little spot for a bite to eat and I'd gladly drop by again if in the area.

My boyfriend, his friends and I ate here 4 days in a row and everything is always better then what you expect. Foods amazing, service is even better. Staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. If you only have one chance to eat out in Kingston this is your go to place!

I had a great time at Oak and Barrel! The service is amazing and very welcoming! The food is outstanding and well worth the price, which is very reasonable! I'll be definitely making this a regular stop when I am back in the area! Thanks for leading the crew Jen!

We had the best supper here this evening. The burgers were great and the garlic fries were the best thing I have ever eaten. Will be back again for sure. 100%recommend this pub.

Can’t say much other than I won’t be back. Waited about 15 minutes to be seated than another 15 for a menu (not particularly busy) over and hour for 2 small orders.ended up paying for our drinks and leaving. Paint peeling all over the walls. House flies and fruit flys everywhere, just all around waste of time. And the beer i got the bottle was cracked. Zero stars.

Waited almost an hour from 1230 on.
Less than 20 people there.
The folks who walked in the door with us had finished their meal.
We left.
Sad!

Staff very friendly and nice - food is not good - ordered haddock - inedible- dry and totally overcooked - told staff - offered to replace but my dinner partner was eating - not going to wait while they made more - my dinner partner had liver which was mediocre - was disappointed they didn’t offer take it off the bill - won’t be back

Mediocre food and mediocre service.our table was sticky.most of focus seemed to be on the bar and selling alcohol.homemade lemonade was good!

We were here on wing night and it was a amazing! The bar was packed but we were still waited on quickly and servers were very attentive! Good was delicious!
