Sad to see what has happened to this bar over the years. Sharp decline can only be blamed on management.

Played a show there once and they hassled two gals about the men’s room being hotboxed. Seen open dripping pipes and other hellish call signs of a “hole in the ground” bar. But such bars should make up with it from warm service. Not even watered down 11.50 pitchers can save them.

Should be noted that they took down their Facebook reviews after getting several poor reviews.

Hopefully they shake up management sometime soon and save this bar. Great location could be Halifax’s best spot.

My favorite spot in the whole city to go to with a large group of friends for cheap beer, good music, and good vibes. Incredibly friendly staff that go the extra mile for people, which is a culture that most restaurants have lost post-COVID. Tuesday Comedy Night is always awful, but in an endearing way. Thursday Karaoke/Wing nights are the most packed by far, if you're looking for a party night. It's probably the only, and best place by far, for Saturday UFC nights as well. Wish they still served salads, but I wouldn't trade this spot for anything!

Was there for about 10 minutes, saw three mice running through. Bartender (older gentleman) made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Cheap beer though if you're willing to overlook comfort.

Really affordable and great service. Good vibes, cool art, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

So, personally, I have never liked going to a pub or a club. I have always felt that that is not my kind of place. I've always had a not so good feeling in such places. However, the Oasis Pub is such a place where I felt at peace. Regardless of such places not being my scene, this place is a perfect place for friends and/or family to sit, have a nice meal and beer and also enjoy live events such as karaoke, live music, stand up comedy and much more. I had gone to this pub after walking out of a nightclub as I got bored there and did not much like the whole scene. When I entered the Oasis Pub, I thought this might be the same and I might not like it here. I was wrong. I loved the place and I ended up drinking a few beers despite me going there alone. I saw all the noise and all the people having fun and it felt nice! Everybody (and I mean everybody) was having a time of their life and seeing that I also enjoyed my time there. Apart from the atmosphere in there, the staff is very friendly and very outgoing. I would definitely go to this place again without giving it a second thought. Based on where this place is situated, it feels like you're travelling through a door into the past. There aren't many things such as disco lights or loud songs. However, there is one thing that you'll always see; togetherness. People come there to take a break from everything and spend time with their loved ones. There's a lot to do too apart from music, karaoke and all. They've got arcade games, pool and a lot more on the menu of fun!

I'd definitely recommend this place and you should surely check it out if you're reading this review to the end!

PS: my 4 stars don't mean it wasn't a perfect experience. I haven't been a fan of such places so I've never given a 5 star to them (I've never even thought of reviewing a place) but this place is different (a good difference)

Great old traditional bar with good prices and great staff these bars are slowly disappearing.replaced by fancy overpriced money traps

Do not order wings.
We hadn't been there in years. The service was fine. But the food was very pleasant. Despite ordering 6 different types of wings all we could taste was chicken and no "flavour".

Went here for the first time in over 14 years and haven’t changed. The karaoke was good and the booze was good but the difficulty was trying to get a server to get you either a drink or food. It got to the point where you would just have to go up to the bar and wait in line for a drink/food.

Would go again but maybe not the night before a holiday

The food and drinks were good. I went on karaoke night and the man in charge of karaoke is incredibly misogynistic and narcissistic. The venue would be fantastic if this man was not there. I have never felt so belittled and unimportant in my life. I was feeling tired and asked this man if I could see the karaoke list to decide if I wanted to wait for my turn or go home. He refused to let me see the list and when I persisted he called security and had them escort me out. He was very aggressive and angry and the way he treated me was frightening.

Went for wing night on Thursday and it was pretty great. I'd highly recommend getting garlic parmesan mixed with hot.

Always love Oasis. Service was a little slower last night with covid and a wing night/karaoke happening. Wings were perfectly cooked. If you plan on attending on a Thursday night, go early to assure you'll get a seat

Downstairs off of Springarden. Weird set up. Definitely a dive bar. But good prices for beer, a decent# of tv monitors and pool tables.

Great drinking options which can be enjoyed with a live karaoke in front. Infact, you can even go and sing at the Karaoke.

Friendly staff, clean establishment INSIDE, however the entrance and stairs need a major overhaul. The pool tables are clean and it has good atmosphere.

A dated but clean bar with a few pool tables, shuffle board and a bunch of slot machines. Definitely seemed like the core crowd was older. Went there a few times around 4-7pm, decent spot for a few cheap drinks and a couple rounds of pool.

Waitress just asked us to leave after noticing my hand on my girlfriends hip sitting at the table. Apparently she was serious. Apparently a simple public display of affection is the devil here.

Awesome dive bar with better food than you'd expect and one of the city's best comedy shows on Tuesdays.

It is what you would expect from a basement dive bar place is huge they do keep it relatively clean but it is an old diver drinks are reasonably cheap as well

It's a dive bar. Cheap beer, cheap food, cheap service. But! You know what to expect. Go in for some cheap beer and a greasy poutine and have yourself a good time.

Favourite for wings and an all around great place and a very laid back atmosphere! Love this place. I truly think it's underrated.

This has always been my favorite place, I have been coming here for over 10years, best prices and now they have new pool tables.

Average pub, good location. A little dim and dated. Recommend checking out their wing night if you like pub-style hot wings. Great drink specials as well.

Karaoke is a good time, drinks are good. The food is okay. Great place to go to drink, maybe not eat.
Nachos were subpar, cheese was barely melted and the chips were stale, but no waitstaff there to really tell.

This place used to be okay. The food isn't terrible and it was a nice place to hangout. However each and every time I have been at this place over the last 3 months the service has been the worst. If you are hungry don't got here. I waited nearly an hour and a half before a waitress even batted their eyelashes at my table, on a night where only 3 other people were in the restaurant.
