Great service from all staff and Dr. Wilson is amazing and very kind describing all the details and answer all queries. The team is professional and the queue is well managed by respecting the time of all.

I have been going to Ocean Optometry since at least 2019. It has always been a great experience. For my lastest appointment in Dec. 2023, I showed up 40 minutes early for my appointment by accident and they simple just took me then. It's true the frames are on the higher price point but are a much better quality and more unique than I can find elsewhere. I never feel rushed or pressured into purchasing anything.

My daughter is 4 and loves going to Ocean for her annual eye appointment. It is one of her favourite places! The whole team there is so kind and helpful!

I was in Halifax for the weekend and had a pretty bad infection in one of my eyes. I walked in the store just to see if I could get an appointment at some point during the weekend and without wasting a single minute, Dr. Wilson kindly proposed to see me right away. Not only was he extremely helpful but he most likely saved me from a pretty serious intervention in my eye. I highly recommend anyone to go see him and his team. Thanks again Dr. Wilson!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Ocean Optometry. I travelled from Toronto to Halifax for a bachelorette weekend and ended up with a very sore/irritated eye. I called Ocean Optometry on the Friday as soon as I got to Halifax and they got me right in. John was absolutely incredible and so helpful with treating my eye abrasian. John even came into work an hour early on the Saturday morning to see me again to make sure my eye was getting better. I also received a phone call from John Monday morning to make sure I was feeling better. So professional and caring, I recommend seeing Ocean Optometry for all your needs! Thank you again John!

Staff there are very accomodating. Dr. John explained very well the detailed assessment of my eye exam. Ms. Jen helps you decide which frames and lenses that is best fit for you. Overall, good flow of handling clients.

Price for glasses (without the lens) is expensive but the exams are affordable. The place is really comfy and clean, and the people are super professional and kind.

I attended Ocean Optometry for my annual full eye exam after deciding to find a new optometrist due to administrative issues with my last clinician (multiple errors in my prescription reporting). Ocean Optometry is a beautiful facility with helpful staff. They answered all of my questions with throughough yet simple explanations, and they provided clear logic for why I required certain tests. Lastly, they understood that financial limitation could affect decisions regarding my eye health, and they worked to provide transparent pricing on products and different examinations.

An excellent experience. Great options for appointment times, easy online booking, complimentary parking. My exam was timely, thorough, and each step was explained to me. I really appreciated the chance to review the digital images and to chat to Dr. McGinty about an eye exam for my toddler. Alicia was a total gem when it came to setting me up with frames; I usually dread having to browse through endless options but she was quick to learn my taste and matched me with a pair I can’t wait to wear!

Great service from Dr. Karley Brooking, extremely thorough and kind, and a great selection of frames from traditional to funky modern.

The experience was great except for the long wait. I spent 90 minutes there in total, 30 minutes of which was waiting. Nobody checked on me, or explained the long wait, but I did get a “sorry”. If I’d had to wait 10 minutes more I probably would have left.

I had a great experience with Ocean Optometry. Dr Karley Brooking did my exam eye exam. She was professional, Knowledgeable and not to forget polite. She explained everything in a simple way and answered everything question i had. The best place in town, i was struggling with a minor issue that prevented me from living my daily life for 10 days and got solved in minutes with dr John. We had a wonderful experience here. The optometrist was great with our kids and adjusted to suit them, their needs and comfort levels. The optician that served us was also very good at working with our 3 year old, helping him understand how to put on his glasses and including him, as much as possible, in the process. We would highly recommend Ocean for kids.

Exceptional customer service from the team at ocean optometry! Big shout out to Shelby, who helped me navigate through getting my last few pairs of glasses. I even made a mistake in selecting the wrong frames and both Shelby and the ocean optometry team were very understanding and helped me remedy the mistake. Couldn't recommend them more!

The staff were all super friendly and professional. I was there for a semi emergency (floaters in my left eye) The optometrist I seen very personable and did a great job. We've recently moved here and took an educated guess to book our eye exams. Well, we lucked out. Will greeted us and got us checked in and feeling welcome. Dr. John is friendly and thoroughly explained our exam and images of our eye anatomy-super cool. Sandy helped us to choose new frames and review our options (and Will helped with fashion show reviews!). Overall, we couldn't have been more pleased. Can't wait to collect our glasses later next week, and it's good to know that we'll have reliable eye and lens experts just around the corner when we need them.

Everything, from the second I walked in, to the eye exam, the doctor consultation, to check out, was friendly and efficient. Everyone working there was helpful and professional. Oh, they also had great music playing!

Fantastic customer service. Several years ago I purchased minimalist titanium wire frames - which have since held a couple iterations of updated lenses. Despite the age of the frames, the staff continues to provide adjustments, minor repairs and advice. I very much appreciate the style, quality products, and customer service on offer at Ocean.
