Oh My Cod!

Nick made our experience a lovely one. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, exceptional experience! Thank you for allowing us to sit a big longer to catch up with a friend after 30 years!

Super friendly owner and staff, large portions of tasty food and a really good buzz around the whole building. Excellent time and we will definitely be back.

One of the friendliest and pleasant restaurants on our visit to Nova Scotia. The atmosphere is very cozy, clean, and homey. The seafood chowder and the fish and chips are superb. We had a leisurely lunch with outstanding service. Tony was our server, a great guy who clearly lives his work—ask for him if he is there. He is very genuine and sincere and attentive.

We travelled a long way to experience the fish and chips to celebrate a special occasion and must give warning that the food was way BELOW expectations. The chips were soggy and cold and the fish seemed like it was tasteless and seaming anything but fresh (seemed to have been probably previously frozen and dried out). If you go there we would recommend against this part of the Menu!

Our favourite date spot when on the south shore! For years we have been getting the lobster chorizo poutine with zero regrets! Quality consistent dish every time! Huge portion, never changes! The fish and chips is very fresh and tasty too!

What a fabulous find in Mahone Bay! Delicious food, great selection, generous portions, and even gluten free options! Service from Sarah was absolutely top notch! We'll definitely come back with friends and family. Kudos and wishing you all continuing and well deserved success!

Great staff and delicious fish and chips. Waiter was even kind enough to let us know that the portion size to the fish & chips was large so we split it. And it was perfect. Would definitely return.

Great little restaurant had the Brussel sprout tacos delicious. Staff was friendly home like atmosphere. Also pet friendly which helped as we were traveling with our pup. Highly recommend

Enjoyed my experience for the most part. Had the pulled pork tacos and wish they would have come in either bigger shells or on hard shells. There was so much filing (which is a great thing) but because the soft shell was so small it was hard to pick up and most of the filling ended up in my plate. I feel a hard shell would have held up better. The server was great, very personable and made the experience a great one. I would recommend people try this location as I don't expect there would be any disappointment.

Super friendly and inviting staff. Had kid menus but we just ended up getting a variety of items from the regular menu and the kids loved it all. Their favourites are the mussels and poutine. After dinner, there’s an ice cream you can get on the way out to. We loved making the trip out here just for OMC!

Excellent all round. Friendly staff even though they had people queueing to get in. We had the scallop skewers with fries and they were amazing. Cheesecake and ice cream options for dessert were great too. Good beer options as well.

Very atmospheric cafe, there is always a queue to enter. But it's worth it, tasty, good service. The dishes are very large, we took half with us. I recommend

A nice little restaurant in Mahone Bay, NS. Their front patio is pet friendly.

The food was delicious. Good-size portions. We went for their famous lobster mac and cheese, burgers and fish tacos.

A nice gentleman by the name of Tony waited on us. Service was excellent too!

L'accueil chaleureux du propriétaire et le service impeccable, du début à la fin, ont véritablement marqué mon expérience. Les plats sont tout simplement extraordinaires, et la fraîcheur des ingrédients est incontestable.

Le propriétaire s'est personnellement assuré de notre satisfaction en venant nous voir toutes les 15 minutes, et à la fin, il est même parti éplucher des patates! C'est là que vous réalisez que vous êtes dans un établissement de qualité, où le souci du détail prime. Une mention spéciale à sa femme, qui prend soin de la cuisine.

Parmi les incontournables, je ne peux que vous recommander le croissant au homard et le mac'n cheese aux crevettes et homard. Pour ceux qui ont une dent sucrée, il y a également un stand de crème glacée.

Je recommande vivement cet endroit à tout le monde!

Have tried to eat here a few times lately, as it's the only place nearby that serves *cod* fish and chips.

A few times they were closed randomly, once was due to being short-staffed. That's understandable. Another couple times I skipped as I couldn't wait for the line to go down, and knew I'd be through the area again.

One day had a small line up, I was second in line. After a bit of a wait, I got to the front and the manager said they were "too busy to do take outs" then ignored me and went back to chatting with tourists in the line up behind me. I figured it was better for the restaurant if I did take out rather than take up a table, even thought there were a couple empty ones outside. I had time that day to sit in, but why would I if the staff are already so dismissive?

I hear good things about the food, but in a year, I still haven't been successful in placing an order. I'm not going to bother anymore.

The patio is lovely for lunch on a warm day with zero humidity. I had the mussels, and sadly I was not wowed by the actual mussels [very small], but the broth was amazing. I would bottle that and sell it. I also loved the bread for dipping in the broth. I ordered a coffee to finish. Worse coffee ever! Do yourself a favour and have coffee at a coffee shop down the street. Awesome server! Sorry, no photos today. I got caught up in the view.

The service here is amazing. Friendly staff, attentive, and genuinely awesome people. The food is also excellent, and with water views from the patio, it's an all-around winner!

This little cozy place can be very busy and you may find a line up but the wait is worth it.
The staff are very friendly as courteous.
The seafood chowder is the best I have ever had, made fresh with an array of various pieces of fish, mussels, lobster potatoes in a blend of herbs, in this soothing to palate traditional broth.
If your in Halifax and like to sight see make the drive to Mahone Bay, it is definitely worth it

I can't imagine a better dining experience, from the service to the view and not least of all the food.

At the table we had lobster mac&cheese, seafood chowder, cod fish & chips, a piece of haddock and an unadventurous chicken strips. Every dish was superb. Best meal in NS so far.

This place gets busy so go early or expect a possible wait. We only had to wait less than 20 minutes for dinner. Attended to right away. A small place so a little cramped but there is a patio also. Lobster Mac n cheese a hit. Enjoyed my lobster croissant. Fish and chips good. Nice micro brews and wines available. Efficient service.
