OK Tire

The winter tires I was sold were inferior and when brought the issue to their attention in early May I was told my complaints would be escalated however I was never the courtesy of a response. The service level has deteriorated significantly since the amalgamation with Napa Auto. Subsequent to the above I received phone call from the general manager who was quite apologetic regarding the situation and indicated that he had not been contacted when I initially raised my concerns. He provided me with a very satisfactory solution to the problem as a result I will happily continue to deal with this Ok tire location.

Ok Tire have friendly staff and skilled mechanics, from my experience. They were able to repair the leaky catalytic converter on our Corolla more economically than other places. They explained exactly what they were going to do and broke the cost down per item and made it really easy to understand. Jim, who I primarily dealt with, was a great guy who obviously has lots of experience and knows his stuff. I've been here a couple of times over the years.

OK Tired is waaay more than OK. Jim and his team are awesome. Customer service is above and beyond. Jim is also a very honest and trustworthy guy of his word. So rare and much appreciated. Thank you OK tires for giving me excellent service

Jim did a fabulous job on a custom stainless exhaust for my Toyota. He's a pro and worked with me every step of the way to make sure I got what I needed/wanted. Highly recommend, there aren't many people like Jim around. The others at Mighty Auto/OK Tire were also wonderful to work with.

Great experience and staff was very professional and helpful. The mechanics are very transparent and give you the best possible advice. Shout out to Jim, great guy.

Formerly mighty auto. Jim is awesome and knowledgeable, and they're one of the few remaining auto shops that are still honest. I went in in February because there was some vibrations while driving, turns out the lugnuts on one of my wheels was loose. They tightened them and checked the other 3 wheels to make sure they were torqued correctly. When I asked how much I owed them, they said I didn't owe anything and they just wanted to make sure I was safe. That earned my trust and loyalty, and I'll be going back for everything car related.

Awful! Absolutely horrible young female on the phone. Wow! Save yourself a lot of stress and go ANYWHERE ELSE!

The Shop is always busy. That being said it's because the service is outstanding. From the front desk to the workmanship. In the waiting area I heard repeat customers comments of the service and relationship with Jim the manager. I was shown my problem with my car and explained my options. I felt relieved and a weight off my bank account. I have recommended Might Auto to my family members and friends, that true customer service still exists when I thought it was all but lost.

I’m very happy with the new exhaust on my ‘93 Volvo. Sounds great. And they were able to get it done for a good price. Nice group of people to deal with.

I first have to thank WCN Motorsports for directing me to Mighty Auto now known as OK Tire. When I walked in I was greeted by a friendly gregarious man. The guy has a voice for radio. I told him I was here to talk about custom muffler work and he said I'd have to speak with Jim. I was looking for a new exhaust tip. Jim directed me to MGL Auto in Dartmouth for the tip. I believe it's a sister company and they have a selection of exhaust tips. He gave me their number, directions and who to speak to. In fact he called them on my behalf.

Once I got the new tip I brought it back to Jim as requested. He approved that it would fit and liked the style that I had picked out. When we decided to book an appointment, I unfortunately wasn't available the following week. He somehow was able to squeeze me in the following day even though they already had 44 booked appointments.

The plan was to drop the car off mid morning and it would be done by lunch.

The next day when I arrived, they now had 52 appointments and two of the staff members were out sick. Not to mention the place is under renovation, was recently bought out and has a new phone system that doesn't seem to be working and yet everything went extremely smoothly. He brought me back to the shop to have a final look at the placement before the welding was complete.

It was a happenstance that I bumped into the welder / service technician (apologies if the title is wrong) as he parked my car once it was done. We talked about the exhaust and he showed me extra details that he did and I expressed how pleasantly surprised and impressed I was.

The same care and attention was granted to everybody that walked into the store.  The entire staff provide the same level of service.

Unfortunately, this little story doesn't seem to capture the experience I had or what I saw.
I cannot emphasize enough the level of service, care, dedication and professionalism other than to simply say that Jim is a consummate professional. People like this are rare.

Nothing bad to say here. This place rocks, by far one of the best for vehicle maintenance garages in Halifax. Great service, honest as hell, and quality work.

Called to verify a price that was quoted for an alternator because it seemed off. Jimmy tried to seem like he was gonna give me deal and was gonna get in trouble for it. Said he would shop around and save me 100$ which was still overpriced (Why not to do this in the first place?). Said he would put one in if I found one just with extra labour, okay fair. Said I would call around for some and then tried to strong arm me by saying he will just put the old one back in and take it out if that’s the case with lots attitude. Nah I’ll just put it in myself I said and he was not very polite after that. If you want a bad receptionist and Jim to to try strong arm you and belittle you, look no further!

Jim and his team did an excellent job replacing my alternator. I miss them being open on Saturdays.

Worst service i have ever had tire fell off of my car after haveing over 1000 in work done to the front end didnt tighten the lug nuts then proceeded to curse at my wife over The phone.

I went here for the 'exhaust expert', who kept me waiting in front of him for 10 minutes while discussing his in-depth bbq plans on his cell phone. Which was infuriating but I tolerated thinking the work quality was worth it.
It was not. It was a simple straight pipe request. Welds look like I did them myself, pipe is smaller in diameter than I requested, and he cut the end so sloppily it has a random chunk out of it.
Pretty uncaring and sloppy work from an 'expert', extremely disappointing.

Jim and his brother Mark are really straight forward in doing business.these guys treat you as a client not a one time transaction

Great Guys Quality work. They helped my brother and I out during a Strom when every other shop turned us away. Can't thank them enough

If I could rate this garage zero out of five stars I would. I recently brought my ford pick up here to have a coolant leak diagnosed and ultimately fixed. After making an appointment well over two weeks in advance I dropped off my vehicle with the exceptions of having it fixed, what they ended up doing was phoning me throughout the day to tell me that "they've had 25 pounds of pressure on the coolant system and couldn't find any leaks" they also asked me why I thought it was leaking coolant which I replied by saying well if you look under the truck you'll more than likely find a puddle and that I had been filling the coolant tank multiple times a week as it had all been leaking out of somewhere.the mechanic on the phone (Jim) told me that he put some dye in the coolant and that he'd revisit the problem a couple days later.upon my arrival to pick up the truck I was quick to realize that it hadnt even been moved from where I parked it.so I headed inside to grab the keys, once I got my keys I went over and started the truck and popped the hood than to my surprise I could clearly see where the coolant had been leaking from and that anyone with two eyes could easily see it.being a little disappointed with the lack of effort that had been put into fixing my truck I asked to speak with the mechanic (Jim) and was told that he was too busy to even come look at where the coolant was very clearly leaking from.this is my second time dealing with this garage with the outcome of it being more than disappointing.if you want quality work at a fair price done from mechanics that actually put an effort into there job Id recommend going over to Graigs garage. 10/10 would not recommend bringing your vehicle here

This place is a full rip off place with nasty management, totally fake reviews, over priced quotes and definitely takes advantage of women customers, take your car elsewhere!
