Old Orchard Inn & Spa

Loud outdated hotel, booking site described amenities which were not present. Could have a similar experience for much less at a cheap motel. Breakfast was pretty good

Went for dinner.

Whatever you do, do NOT order the Greek salad as a main. It was about the same as from a pizza shop. A ridiculous pile of minced tomatoes, cucumber and red onion slathered w feta and 3 (!) black olives on top.

Other orders were steak (good), salmon (good) and cheese garlic bread (very good).

Service and ambiance also good.

We love this place but there really needs to be more care in service and details. Someone’s leftover soap was in our bathtub, and very sour smell to the rubber bathmat and air conditioner unit. Showerhead super old and dirty. Super small bathroom could be better suited with a pocket door. I question cleanliness. The Wi-Fi was inadequate and could be solved with more access points. Staff were friendly. Renos are in progress but detail to cleanliness and basic needs to fulfill the renovations are needed. For$215+, very disappointed. This should not have been more than $129/nt. Get the details right as you have a gem in the valley - no better location or place to stay. Iconic! Consider removing Old from Orchard Inn when you are renovated, you don’t need that legacy as being outdated and irrelevant. It was a disappointing stay for an anniversary, especially when I had called ahead to mention it is our anniversary.

If you want to return home with all your belongings you brought with you on your trip to the valley DO NOT GO HERE.
I’m not the type of person to write about stuff like this but I’m very upset about what has happened to my family while at this hotel.we have given them time to respond and ‘investigate’ but i’m frustrated with there responses and there lack of doing anything about the situation so THIS IS A WARNING! I’ve been to the old orchard inn many times times and my family has made it a tradition to go there every fall without any issues happening. But After this years visit I’m not sure if we will be returning. My mothers Apple Watch and charger was stolen from her room while the family was out doing family stuff for the morning. We notified the staff and told them about the situation and they helped us search the rooms and they ‘checked the cameras’ and said the only people who entered and left the room was my mom, dad, and maid.after they found nothing they continue to tell my mother that, she came to the hotel in a big group and One of your family members must of taken it, and we can give you a coupon to the restaurant. Are u kidding me! No we don’t want a coupon for whatever % off you’re going to give us, we want the $800 Apple Watch back and we know for a fact it was 100% not any of our family members who took it. That watch and charger were both in that room when it was left and now it’s not I’m beyond upset and disappointed. When going to a hotel everyones expectations are to return home with all of the belongings they brought with them on their trip but if you go to this place that might not be the case. Beware.

Very comfortable room. The room had outdoor access, handy for our little dog.

Nice hotel, but need to put microwave in room, it very inconvenient not having one in room in this day of age. Restaurant is very pricey.

Hotel was clean but is getting very dated. On the pricy side. The bathroom is very small and hard to get into and changed. Breakfast was not included which other hotels include. The breakfast was the worst! Bacon was next to raw and the hash browns, I’ve never seen so greasy. The breakfast menu doesn’t have many options.

The hotel is pretty bad. Its very dated. The two gentlemen at the front desk were less than friendly. The rooms smell. All in all I would not stay here again.

Cleaning staff were fabulous. Really working to keep place looking good. Front desk staff could tell people checking in about the breakfast. Would be nice to be told to order it the day before or go without. Better if could just sign up for it when checking in. Also key cards kept de activating and that’s annoying. Rooms were clean and comfortable

Was very disappointed because at 2am there was a very loud party going on down the hall singing and hollering kept us awake.informed the staff what had happened and they practically snubbed us off. When we left in the parking lot there was empty wine bottle and beer cans would jot recommend if your looking for a relaxing place to stay

Pillows too thick and uncomfortable. Bed not too comfortable as well. This may only be the room stayed in.

Staff were very nice. However, the building, while clean, is dated. Needs updating. I understand that some new investors are involved. That will be a great help.

I did not know you could get a room with a view. I would suggest you ask when you book. The view is worth it. Also not sure why the washer toss has the washers at the front desk. This is very minimal expense even if they were to be taken.

Let me start off by saying every staff member that I came in contact with or interacted with during our stay was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Everyone was friendly and helpful in every way. Absolutely the stand out point of staying here.
The rest is okay.
The rooms need some updating. It feels as though they haven't had some in quite some time. Some of the furniture was obviously repaired in a less than ideal way. The room itself is a bit small. The beds were different size than advertised. The bathroom. Tiny. But overall everything was clean and presentable, it's just in need of some refresh.
The option of breakfast was a nice inclusion and what we received was quite tasty. The page used to book and order breakfast (like the room) could also use some work.
Overall not bad. Just some areas where some updates could have made the experience better.

Had booked the king parlor Jacuzzi room, however this was not available as the tub was being fixed. Understandable, as this happens so we were booked into a regular King room. Room was spacious and super clean! The bed was to die for! So super comfy! Hotel is beautiful and rustic and charming. Somewhat dated but wonderful! Breakfast was included and we ordered online the night before by 10pm. About five choices provided. We ordered travellers breakfast, which was choice of bacon or sausage, homestyle potatoes, scrambled eggs and a blueberry muffin. Coffee or tea. Would have liked the option of orange juice or apple juice. It was good. Room service would have been great as we had to go downstairs to pick up our breakfast. Was not a game changer but would have been nice to be able to order supper to our room the night of arrival as well.

From checking in to checking out we had the most amazing visit. All the staff were excellent the whole entire place was beyond clean the rooms were immaculate and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. We had supper there as well and the meal was priced perfectly and was absolutely delicious. The wine they paired the meal with was delicious as well. We drove 4 hours for a night away and it was worth every minute.

Belle place, le déjeuner laisse à désirer si tu veux manger santé. Nous ne nous sentions pas comme des invités, mais plus comme des gens qui payent pour une chambre, surtout pour Nancy à la réception. Faites un tour à la fitness room, ça en vaut le rire!

The Old Orchard Inn has some beautiful views from their patio, and great service. The staff were great, and extremely friendly. Tasty breakfast - ordered online in the mornings.
However, the Inn/hotel itself is very outdated and would definitely benefit from renovations. The patio with the beautiful view closes at 8: 30pm along with the restaurant which is disappointing.
My only other main concern is the cleanliness of the pool and hot tub. While I went there every day of my stay (3 times), I was often questioning how often the pool/hot tub are cleaned and maintained. The pool is not a salt water pool.which doesn't matter to me, but the water was indeed very very salty! Pool tiling was stained as well. As for the hot tub, there were many floaties in the water and it did not have a pleasant odour. I ensured to thoroughly shower before and after the pool/hot tub.

Very spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. It has lots of dressers, a desk, a fridge and freezer. Great air conditioning and two doors, one to the outside and one to the inside. Great pool and hot tube. The restaurant was lovely, food was yummy and the service was great. Ev charger is also available. Lovely patio overlooking the water and the orchard. Highly recommend a stay here

Much nicer on the inside than appears from the front, staff very helpful, totally forget about the red barn slots bar not on premises only canned beers offered. Good breakfast.

Fabulous view and very nice customer service. Comfortable bed. I would stay again. The only minor thing is that the room is not sound proof

The scenery here is beautiful. I understand this place is up for renovations. They are long overdue. Rooms are very tired but cleanish. Wouldn't stay again until renovations are done.

Old tired rooms, staff need to take a customer relations course, their collective attitudes are pompous, condescending.

Overall a very pleasant stay!
PROS:
- Book directly with the hotel for a free breakfast each morning. Great deal and the breakfast was a great start and saves you money!
- All the amenties. Hot tub (super hot at 105 degrees), pool, washer toss, viewing deck, horseshoes,
- EV Charger! Amazing to be able to charge while staying.
- Friendly staff.
- Nice quiet room.

CONS:
- Definitely dated hotel. Didn't mind it though, very well maintained.
- No microwave.

Great location, great views. Good breakfast (make sure you book directly on their website to get the breakfast for free). Nice walk-out/balconies. Service was great!

The cabin was so adorable! We had a bachelorette party here and it was awesome, we got 5 people in the one cabin comfortably. The pool had some bugs floating around in it but that inevitable. Hot tub was great and the travellers breakfast was delicious! Employees were very friendly and helpful!

It was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at, rather outdated and run down. I had a rough night experiencing aches and pains because of the uneven mattress and rock-like pillows that are like 100 years old. The hair dryer didn’t work at all. Not to mention the whole hotel smelled a strong moldy odour. Where did the four star come from? It’s definitely way too worse than a two star inn. I was ripped off and would never recommend it to anyone.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our stay. The view from our room was amazing. The service was great especially in the restaurant. The prices were reasonable and portions very good. Free parking and breakfast included if you do not book through a third party. We will be back again for sure.

Bad experience, extremely overpriced payed over $20 for two beers. The front desk was rude. No microwave, No breakfast for general guest, No frozen food or snacks at front desk Don’t come here! Also smells like old people and cigarettes in the room.

The staff was extra friendly, the room (and all public areas that I could see) were exceptionally clean, and I would return again in a heartbeat.

We had dinner Saturday night at the didn’t get room, and the food was FANTASTIC. We will eat there again when we’re back in the area.

Anniversary weekend we should have spent somewhere else.

The pictures on the website weren't anything like the actual place. The room was dark and dungeony, it was outdated and run down. Reminded me of a truck stop motel. Asked for a refund and they said no. Luckily they moved us to a slightly bigger and brighter room. But I feel ripped off and money wasted.

They didn't warn us about the basketball tournament in town so we had at least 50+ kids running around at all times. Also couldn't use the pool or hot tub because they had kids running around all day. That was one of the reasons we chose this place. Won’t be coming back.

Room was very dated. Room was clean but needed maintenance and renovation. Not many plugs for a family of 3+. Staff were very friendly.

First of all if you have to travel for work and are an essential worker. You will have to e-mail them the letter proving this. They will not accept a hard copy for some reason.wasn’t a huge deal for me but it could be for others.

Second I felt that they thought I was lying constantly. First with the work letter and second with the food debacle.

On to the food. I ordered the haddock with a bottle of Keith’s.it arrived warm but the veggies were way over seasoned and the fish was not the greatest, seemed to be frozen. I only gathered this from what I ate because I could not finish my meal for safety reasons. There was a rather large piece of metal wire mixed in with the veggies. Luckily it got stuck in my gums and didn’t make its way to my throat as it surly would have done some damage. This is unacceptable, I may be a little over critical here but I am a food safety inspector and I know if the proper procedures are followed it’s impossible for this to happen.

It took them about 20 minutes, they called back, took the meal charge off the room but kept the beer charge. Which I didn’t even finish drinking as I was quite nervous there may be something wrong with that as well. This was yet another instance where I felt they thought I was trying to get a free beer or something.

My room was dated and the bed was very creaky. The room however was very clean but definitely needed some work.

All in all the staff was ok, but this place seems to be poorly managed and the staff has to take orders from management, so there is definitely a trickle down effect.

A girlfriends night away. Just what we needed during CoVid. We got adjoining rooms which made it easy to go between. Booked a swim and had a delicious supper and a takeaway breakfast in the morning. Property is doing a great job of following CoVid protocols. Menu is limited and restaurant is only open for supper as guest numbers are unpredictable. Would prefer everything open but that will happen I am sure once Covid restrictions drop. It was exactly what we Were told prior to booking. Had Great choices and fantastic service. We can’t wait to come back when restrictions are not so tight

Paid nearly $200 to stay in a room with no natural light (on the first floor, and if you opened the curtains you would be on full display to a parking lot) where the guests next door were screaming at each other until 12am. Luckily, it was clean. Aside from that, rooms and amenities were very dated, the complimentary breakfast didn’t have great options. If you’re going for a more basic room- save yourself the money and stay in a motel - same thing.

Didn't stay at the Inn. We celebrated new year's eve with one of the most delicious and imaginative meals we've had the pleasure to enjoy. Four course meal with a glass of bubbly to start. Will return definitely

Im a big review reader, reading all the reviews after I booked to say I was nervous would be an understatement. If this is you too don't be. This place is like a walk back in time, its well kept, clean and the staff are fantastic.

Check in was quick, and painless, we were met with a nice lady who told us everything we needed to know. Made our reservations for dinner, and the pool. The lobby is beautiful, and rustic. We stayed in the king palor room which was spacious, consisted of a king bed, sectional, and updated bathroom with a jacuzzi tub for 2. My only complaint about the room would be that the sectional is just old. The room is filled with beautiful antiques. The sectional just doesn't fit. Any how none the less the room was clean, and the veiw was gorgeous.

The pool area serves its purpose. It's an old pool, and honestly could have been a bit cleaner. However it was nice to have the pool to ourselves, and the water was relatively warm.

The restaurant was beautiful, like seriously beautiful. The food was great we had the meddditraian chicken, shrimp and lobster penne, and spring rolls. All the food was delicious, the spring rolls were amazing. The chef there clearly cares a great deal about putting out quality food, and it shows.

Now for the best part of our stay. Our waiter, the older gentleman who served us in the dining room. He is a gem which i am sure the Inn is aware. He is personable, attentive, professional, and most of all knowledgeable. I've never met someone who knew so much about spirits. He really is fantastic, and leaves a lasting impression. The Inn truly is lucky to have him.

All in all the stay was great, we would definitely return again.
