I'm old fashioned. I can count change from a $5 bill without looking at a screen. My cashier couldn't, so there is that. I was also trained to look the customer in the eye and thank them for their purchase. I don't know why they don't do that there.

The amount of disgusting health violations that were made was terrifying

If you need organic foods and vitamins check out luminate, the staff there are much happier and the store is clean and beautiful

They carry unhomogenized cow, goat, sheep and water buffalo milk as well as "Organic Meadow" unhomogenized cream! "RAN-CHER" 2L goat milk is my new favorite! I've hit the jackpot as I'm not able to digest homogenized milk!

I bought cat milk off one of the employees he was really weird about it and didn't even ring it up on the register. Went back again asked for some farm fresh cilk and they looked at me like I was insane

Yesterday I witnessed a very concerning and blatant act of discrimination and refusal of service by staff and management of this store. No reason was given for the refusal. It did not appear to be a policy issue and management aggressively and unnecessarily escalated the situation without cause or reason.

I have shopped almost exclusively for wellness products at this store since returning to Nova Scotia, but after what I witnessed yesterday, there is no way a business who intentionally harms and disrespects their patrons, without stated reason, will get another dollar from me.

Amazing store. Bit expensive but a large collection of organic items, organic produce, and bulk items.

Nice store with a really good selection of organic and alternative (vegetarian/vegan) products plus local produce. It also has a nice bulk section with flour, nuts, etc. Their smoothies are very good value. Tons of parking. Admittedly, I don't do all my shopping here since I do eat poultry and fish (which they do have but frozen) but when I'm looking for high quality ingredients or alternatives to meat, I go here. Halifax needs more stores like this.

I am embarassed to admit this, but I normally would have shopped online, I went to this store yesterday and it reminded me how nice the retail experience can be. Customer service was A+, Raman had answers to all my questions, right on the spot, and he was so nice. It’s a nice store to get some niche products from. I got extra things of course.
I was also offered a complimentary magazine to read. I’ll recommend all the online shoppers to visit this store once.

I wish i could do ALL my shopping here, i love this grocery store so much.friendly staff, excellent cafe, i love the natural pharmacy, there are always a lot of things on sale (student discounts on Tuesdays -10%!), fresh produce, SUCH good pre-made food, the list goes on!

Went in here today and ordered a double espresso.guy had a confused look on his face.handed me 1/10 of a cup of drip coffee and charged me for my order.

Great place, young fellow new his stuff for sure.
I don, t want to go over board, but so nice to be respected, no matter if ur not at your best times in life, or you have cash falling out off your pockets.

I always enjoy any time spent here. The owners are a couple of really great hard working people. They genuinely care about people and providing them with healthy options.

Went there by accident. I really needed Medicine Shoppe. Personnel there gave me instructions to get to Medicine Shoppep. They were extremely helpful.

Lovely little organic and whole foods market. Good selection of produce, non-dairy "dairy" products, breads, vegan and gluten-free products, frozen organic foods, organic meats, teas and coffees, and health products, etc.

This store is well organized and has good stock of products. Everyone was with smiles on their faces, they greet you with respect and happiness like they really mean it not just with fake smiles, specially Daniel he was really helpful and kind.

My grandmother who is in her 90s loves the products and they are so accommodating to her and always have her order ready for pickup

Friendly service and great selection. They carry products that I cannot find elsewhere like Dr. Reckeweg remedies.

This is a great place and I love the products. But be mindful to check expiration dates, many items on the shelf are expired.

One of my good friends had terminal cancer, and swore that this place helped her to live longer. She lived in Cape Breton and would do orders frequently. Unfortunately, my friend has passed, but I have no doubt that this store helped her to live a longer and healthier life.:)

Food and cost: The food tasted great, but my god, $10 for about 200-250mls worth of chowder and nearly $20 for a bowl of said chowder. I paid for a cup of chowder, a draft beer, a cocktail and a bowl of mac and cheese and it was $50. So. Tasty, but unaffordable.

Entertainment and atmosphere: Fantastic live music and the inside of the bar is great (pretty well brand new building, lots of outdoor patio seating too.

Service: Service was very good and they offered and or provided blankets to those on the patios.

Overall: Great experience and wonderful time. But not very affordable. Which. Being that they are downtown. Is to be expected as nearly all the bars downtown charge far too much anyway.

First time into the store and absolutely loved it! The associate Raman was helpful and friendly. He didn’t mind spending time to explain things and took me to the location of the item. His hospitality is worth to speak about. I particularly loved their selection of salads, sandwiches, shoots and greens.
Overall a great experience; and not to forget, lots of parking.

Loved this place! The shopping experience is gorgeous! They have everything pointed out and every vegan product has a big green vegan label next to it, making it really easy to identify vegan stuff and a great deal for newbies in the vegan world.

Great place to purchase organic products. I'd like to see more local and Canadian health, beauty and food items. Pre made salads are always good and fresh.

Excellent place to look for dietary friendly options, gluten free bread and flour, vegan cheese, you name it. Try their cosmic cookies, they're the bomb!
They keep everything clean so people feel safe going in and browsing for their favorite products.

I would have thought that a company that appeared to care about the environment would also care about their workers. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on at businesses that have better labour practices. Union busting bosses tend not to stay in business very long in Halifax.

Great little market. While pricier, as expected from an organic food store the focus on sustainably produced products is welcome. While I'm not vegan I do appreciate the wide range of vegan products and alternatives for those of us who do have an ethical sensibility about or foods. Try the vegan peanut butter balls. Paradise! And they have two great red palm oils that are both sustainably produced and orangutan friendly.

This store sells expired products and there are rats in the store. They also do not treat their employees well. Be aware!

Absolute debacle of a place to work at.my second shift there was a protest outside protesting workers rights.they fired the head organizer of the union the day before the vote.they fired me because I asked to leave a Half an hour early because of a family issue.when I said I didn't think I was required to tell him in detail about the family issue he got aggressive and told me to give him back his shirt and get out of there.please do NOT support this store.buy from somewhere else.

Ever since ownership changed the place has gone downhill. They are selling some of the exact same products as regular grocery stores at a ridiculous markup. The staff is constantly changing and the employees do not seem happy to be there. I could understand one employee having a bad day but the overall feel of the store is that it is a toxic work environment and the employees are unhappy.

Pretty neat spot. I was looking for essential oils specifically and they have a huge collection and the prices are better than anywhere else I've been.

To my knowledge, the only store in the Halifax/Dartmouth area which is a "complete" health food store: plenty of splendid organic fruits and vegetables, organic products of all kinds, from tea to soy products. They have an excellent selection of herbs, bulk products, and they even sell polished semi-precious stones, colorful minerals and crystals at reasonable prices! Staff is THE BEST: very helpful and they actually know about the products they sell. Highly recommended!

Prices are on the upper end but there is a very good selection of a variety of health products, with a very wonderful and helpful team of staff.

I have been shopping here since I moved to Halifax for school, and let me tell you I have never had such an unpleasant and frustrating experience as I had today. There is a sign when you walk in that say they only allow 15 customers in the store, but I didn’t notice anyone counting and it was extremely busy. The store, while large, is very congested as they have a lot of product with small isles. It felt like there were 30 people in the store because it is so congested; I think that they should make the maximum capacity smaller while the pandemic is going on. Not to mention, the staff did not enforce social distancing at all. I had people cutting me off and getting very close to me, 2 of them being staff members. There are no arrows on the ground meaning you can walk wherever you want in any direction, causing extreme confusion. There are stickers on the floor for the people in line, but unfortunately this goes into an isle and if someone needs something out of that isle they are out of luck until they have to checkout. I bought only two of the many things i went in there for because I was going to have panic attack. I will not be going again during the pandemic, or after, even if they do have a large selection of organic produce. I love supporting local businesses in the HRM but I will not be going back here.

If you are having a hard time finding health food items, this place most likely has them. I drive from Grand Pre for items I can't find locally.

Lots of organic products and unique items not available at regular stores. If you are looking for help with vitamins, shampoos or other items they have knowledgeable staff to assist.

Very nice store with lots of good things for plant based eaters. Plenty of grains, soaps, teas and coffees. A nice produce section too. We got a giant bag of stevia leaf.

Too pricy, but i expect some quality for the price. I'm talking about fresh vegetables. They are not fresh and some are spoiled already.

Special attention to "free of" goods and the unconventional.by example organic whipping cream and water buffalo milk.vitamins, minerals and nutritional supplements.

The best selection of healthy and vegan/local foods in the city. Expensive but depending on what you're looking for, they are usually the only place you can find it. On top of the retail component, they also have a small cafe where you can buy made-in-house smoothies and some pastries. They also have a fridge with grab & go lunches like Vegan 'Egg' Wraps and other sandwiches/salads. I don't ever find their staff super friendly or helpful and they do tend to run out of items pretty quickly if you're not there at the right time.
Bonus, I love how their shopping carts have coffee holders!

Due to strong incense I couldn't stay in the store long enough to do any shopping. I would think an organic market would be more sensitive to it's clients.

Im not vegan, pro organic, gluten free, nor do i believe in the magical power of crystals. This store is pretty great though.

If superstore or sobeys sells what you want, buy it there, it'll be much cheaper. But if they dont have what you want, you come here.

Make your own cheese kits, water buffalo milk, pill capsules, salves, ointments, weird chips, weird flours, exciting freezer oddments and curiosities, bulk spices, coffees, teas, dried goldenberries, bee pollen, avocado plushies, tiger balm, fresh pakoras, magic crystals.

This store is a destination. I really like it.
