Parkside Pub & Smokehouse

Will write in Russian, but you should to know, that it's a very good place.
This is a very pleasant place, let's say for locals. Very friendly staff, delicious food and a large selection of beer. I also recommend their cheese sticks and the Parkside Platter.

I wasn't sure seeing this place from the outside and even walking in, it looks a little rough but the staff was very friendly and the food was amazing.

I had a wonderful time there this past Saturday night with my partner and his step sister. We had drinks and shared a little app.and dessert (nachos). We thought we were going for live music, but the show was actually a hypnotist. Such a fun time with many laughs and a wonderful server. We'll be back for sure!

It was amazing! The food was amazing and delicious. All the staff was super friendly and kind.

This place has a great menu with equally great tasting food, especially the smoked meat menu items. It also has what is best described as a classic pub environment. The service has no issues, although it can be a bit slow when it's busy, but that's to be expected.

Wow! This place sure has changed since it was just the old Parkside Pub. The addition of the smokehouse is definitely a game changer. We started with the candied pork belly, which was absolutely delicious, 100% recommend! For entrees I had the "pick 2" sampler platter which consisted of a slab of brisket, 2 smoked sausages, fries and corn bread. The fries were great quality and perfectly seasoned, the cornbread was tasty and moist and the sausages were top notch. The brisket was fork tender with a nice flavorful crust, although it was a bit on the dry side. My fiancee had the pulled pork mac and cheese, which is a nice entree size. It was nice and heavy on the cheese (great cheese pulls!) and the pulled pork was very tasty. Although the sauce component would benefit from some additional seasoning. The service was fantastic, our waitress was friendly, engaging and attentive and the atmosphere is a laid back sports bar vibe, but with a killer BBQ menu! Will definitely be back.

September 30 - I was in the restaurant for twenty minutes before accepting we would not be served. I couldn't even comment on the water, because the meal never got that far. The restaurant was not busy, the waitresses were very clearly not rushing, and when I left, the only two waitresses I had saw working thus far were standing by the bar, overlooking the restaurant together - why were they not asking us what our orders were? They had seated us, so they knew we were at a table waiting. I did not care to chase after service, and I was not willing to stick around and find out how long we'd have to wait for the meal and the bill, once our order was finally taken.

Pulled pork Mac and cheese with a side of Caesar salad and garlic bread. $20, very filling and great tasting.

Also we had the greatest server ever. My 6yo son asked for a kids menu word search and they didn’t really have that there. Our server gave him a full colouring book and then proceed to create a word search by hand for him to do. I really couldn’t believe that she did that for him. What a great place!

The food was cold and I would've loved to have the BBQ sauces at the table. The server was wonderful though!

When you get to the door, you can smell what's coming up on the plates. Modern clean look inside with lots of seating. Cushioned benches and stools with high tables and booths. It was seat yourself when we went in for a party of three. Menu is a double sided large format. Pastas, fish n chips, appetizers and a fresh smoked pulled pork club sandwich. The chocolate cake to end it off. Staff was quick and friendly. Thanks Lorraine.

Great food, great service. It was trivia night when I went, awesome fun! Your just a little extra, but the good is well worth it. Left full and with a to-go bag! I would recommend to anyone that's looking for some great pub food.

We just had dinner as a family at Parkside and gosh, what a great time we had! The food was delicious - everything from the tater tots to the pulled pork and strawberry lemonade! The highlight for me was the smoked wings with Jack Daniels sauce we had as an appetizer… best wings I’ve eaten, hands down! My husband loved his ribs. And the portions were huge - we have enough left for lunch tomorrow! Thank you as well to our waitress - unfortunately I did not catch her name - for being so kind, funny and attentive! If we come back to Halifax we’ll eat there again for sure!

The food was bland, went for wing night and the atmosphere and music. I guess if you love the 70s.

I went for a comedy event and had a great experience with two of the barkeeps, just so easy-going and great with the service. Attention to detail is rare these days and I noticed it in this environment, thanks very much and I’ll be back.

Great food, wings, burger and brisket are soo good, great service, great atmosphere and a great spot to catch some live entertainment!

Wait staff was nice, food wasn't cheap but it was good. I like barbecue a lot. Would go back for sure.

I'm editing my review because I was served the worst thunder mug from the bottom of the keg tonight. It was warm, flat and I honestly think they meant to serve it that way. Just wrong. No one I know would ever serve something like that and I know some bartenders.

It was a fun night out for Trivia. The drinks were good but the food was a little overcooked. Some of my friends dishes were good they said but I found my chicken fingers were burnt in places.

All around wicked food, best BBQ in the city. Great priced wing nights every Thursday, my favorite place to eat in the city hands down.

A co-worker wanted me to go. I had never been there before and went with low expectations. I am happy to admit that I was wrong. I ordered the soup & sandwich, Rubin sandwich with some type of beef soup. Both were absolutely delicious. One of the best Rubin's I have ever had. The soup was a hot & sour flavour and had big hunks of beef. I really enjoyed both. The service was fast and the price reasonable. I highly recommend this place for lunch.
