It was advertised that they have something on sale, we tried several packages, nothing worked. Staff could not help either

Stopped by store today for a quick purchase. Two staff members at the register more interested in looking at pics on a phone and chatting then acknowledging a customer. Even when noticed they continued to chat. I guess I should have apologized for interrupting them.

The staff are all so friendly and helpful.

Also, the selection of food, toys, and collars/leashes can’t be beat; this is where we trust to go for our little doggo.

Lastly, I want to acknowledge how grateful I was when the store let me exchange a harness that I purchased in error (wrong size) without a receipt.

You have a loyal customer for years to come!

Larger store than the Spring Garden location and more variety of products and has great service.

Not allowing pets in right now, but every other location does. Since I'm not tying her outside, I will go home and drive to another location that is pet friendly. I wont be back.

We always preferred Pet Valu when we lived in Ontario, but have started to buy from Ren's here instead, even though it's 15min longer of a drive. We often find that the items we need regularly are always out of stock at this location; why not just carry more stock? One of my biggest frustrations is that we are not very close to any, but this is our closest. I usually call first to see if they have what we need instead of driving all the way there but I can never seem to get anyone on the phone. When I do, I'm often put on hold. One time, I stayed on hold as a joke to see how long they would leave me waiting - I gave up after TEN MINUTES. Another area of feedback is product knowledge - I don't expect all staff to know everything, but I would expect them to know how to use the system to find information. We had also been buying Honest Kitchen raw food mix for over 9 months (its over $80/box) before someone asked us for our phone number. When I asked why, they said it's part of a loyalty buying program! We went to this store literally 4-5x per month. Disappointed, for sure.

I have had good experience with this location, friendly staff anf they had what I needed. Recommended!

I will never be returning to this location.
So far have had two horrible experiences with the staff there and I will not be going back for a third. Sunday I had purchased a inflatable cone for my dog at the Elmsdale location, the manager there had told me that if i brought it home and decided it didnt fit/ I changed my mind that I could bring it back as long as it haddent been blown up for full credit, and if I had blown it up then I could get a store credit (which I was fine with). I had left the Elmsdale location and on the way to sackville had decided to return it. It haddent been out of the box, the seal wasn't broken, and I still had the original receipt. Since the sackville location was closer to me than going back to Elmsdale I had decided to go there. I walked into the location being completely ignored by the two workers chatting, looked at the collars and then went to the counter and politely asked if I could return it. The woman who I was speaking to was very rude and told me that she could only give me store credit even though I said I was speaking to the manager of the Elmsdale location, and then replied with “well we’re not the Elmsdale location”. The worker (Anna) was very rude, I had asked to speak to the manager when I had begun to get frustrated, and she had said she was the manager (come to find out, she was the assistant manager, therefore lying about her position). I asked to get in touch with the owner, which I could tell Anna's attitude was becoming worse and she said she would write down my name and phone number and that the owner would give me a call (still haven't received a call). I left upset and drove back to Elmsdale to return for a full refund, and even they couldnt believe that Sackville Pet Valu wouldnt return it. The Sackville location is the closest to my home, I normally buy my dogs food here, but from now on I will be making the drive to the Fall River or Elmsdale location, unless something changes at this location. Customer service is lacking.

This location went above and beyond in the face of Covid-19. They made shopping for necessities feel quick and safe during a time when most people were scared to step foot in a store. While it was dissapointing not being able to bring my pets along, I do understand that this rule was implemented for my convenience and safety and that they were clearly as heartbroken not seeing them as I was not bringing them in. It was made clear to me that this was enforced in order to save time for additional cleaning as well as handpicking the supplies I needed. Thank you for all of the hard work you all put in so that I had access to what I needed in a safe and efficient manner!

I had been a frequent shopper at their Lower Sackville location.until today!
AS I approached the store with my little dog Ella, a salesclerk opened the door to advise me DOGS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED!
This draconian measure is quite frankly dangerous. How can they not know that many people have been abandoning their pets.believing they can contract this virus from them. Their power trip has moved this nonsense forward!
I will NEVER step foot in a Pet valu again!

Excellent staff and store! The groomer here is so wonderful. She deserves a medal. It's only 11.50 to get nails done but its worth so much more. Make sure to tip her! She sure deserves it! My favourite pet store by far!

Attentive staff. Eager to help. Everything is within eye view and very well organized. Decent prices. Ample parking.

Soon as you walk in the store. They talk to you. Store is nice and clean. The staff are friendly.

I have an incredibly nervous dog when it comes to confined spaces but the employees made her feel comfortable the entire time.

I am SO HAPPY with the GPAC dog washes here. Everyone is lovely, my beautiful dog gets a bath, I don't have to be the bad guy, and the funds go to a good cause. I make sure to spend some monies in the store because I appreciate the hosting so much.
Pretty good pokemon spawns in the parking lot and there is a gym not too far away.

Use the dog wash station here on a regular basis, you cant beat the $10 +tax price tag for a space to wash your pup, all the shampoo and conditioner you could ever need, towels, a blow dryer and brushes. The staff here are lovley and the prices are comparable or a little less compared to other retailers.

My dogs typically don't like stores but they love this one. They can spend all the time sniffing around and be completely lost in the smells. The people who work here are very friendly and really like animals, and that really makes a difference. Lots of supplies and varieties to choose from. Prices are competitive. Good place to shop for dogs and cats. Parking is also easy and plentiful. This location is very convenient if you also have other errands like grocery shopping, getting gas, banking, eating lunch or dinner, etc. But most of all, the people here are just super nice and enthusiastic. This will be my go-to pet store.

Staff were great. The supplies was plentiful and so many options. Cant beat the price. They made it so easy! My son and I had a blast and will be back in a few weeks for another bath

Absolutely love this store! For only $10 you get a huge selection of shampoos and brushes and get to bathe your dog, free treats included! Staff was really friendly and engaged in conversation and made us feel welcome to shop there. They interacted with our dog, Diesel, and helped show us how the baths worked and where everything was in the store. Prices are great and they have a wide selection of everything you need. A true one-stop shop for all things pets! Highly recommended!

Good place to take your fur baby on cold days when you can not get out with them. Staff is nice and always willing to help you find what you need. Will even look up product at other stores if they are out.

Unfortunately the day I was there they had no selection of what I needed, and I waited at the cash for close to 10 minutes, and the cashier never came. I had to go find her and ask her to come to check us out. She had seen us come in, so there is really no excuse. She was simply chatting.
