Pete's Frootique & Fine Foods

Pete's is one of my favourite stores. Their selections of cheese and other fine foods are great. Unfortunately the prices are ridiculous and I can't shop there as much as I would if it were more reasonably priced.

I love the Pete’s market but the smoothie bar is a whole different review. The lady with the glasses that’s always there is losing business for Pete’s! I have been turned away so many times by her because it’s “too busy” or “I have to wash blenders” or she’s away for her lunch at literally their most busiest times of the day! Or she just doesn’t want to serve you in general! It’s so annoying to come there for a smoothie and waste your whole lunch break because she doesn’t want to serve you! Her attitude is also awful! I’ve been disappointed too many times trying to get a smoothie there because of HER. She acts like ordering is a smoothie is such an inconvenience for her but news flash, that is literally your job lady.

Always a good place to stop for ex-pat foods, amazing selection and friendly staff. They have a great British sweets and snacks selection with many options you can only find here.

They also have a really good cold drink selection, bakery area, deli and butcher shop. We also enjoy their vegetarian and organic section.

Beware of the bakery personnel scamming you by printing more expensive pricing labels. Check your receipts!

Total chaos.it stank of burning bread, no one gave any thought to crowd flow or managing line ups. How are they supposed to be high end if their product selection is so limited. What high end store runs out of pate during the Christmas season? I couldn't wait to leave and won't go back.

Always a great place for hard to find food items. Fruits veg, meats, cheeses, sauce and spices from around the world and local as well

Great little market. Love the products. A bit pricey but glad to be able to get some of the things from home.

They do indeed have fine foods! Pricier than your average grocer, but also not meant to be your average grocer either. With that in mind you'll find a more elaborate deli, bakery, and produce section with some stuff you might not run into everyday! Some cool imported products if you want to check out new things to use ingredient wise. Again while on the pricier end, you can find great options here for a lunch or supper on the go. They probably make the best lasagna I've ever had! Chicken tostadas, samosas, meatballs all very solid options.

Have several good and healthier stuffs in the store that you cannot find in superstores. Have a trip and see for yourself.

Unfortunately Pete's continues the downhill slide from its glory days when Pete was running it.

Basically zero organic produce! Such a shame for such a nice store. We went to shop produce and left with almost nothing.

I stopped in today on the way home to from the hospital with my newborn. All of the staff was amazing. But one absolutely stood out. When I was about to leave, an employee came over with a gift card from one mother to another. I hope she sees this because I want her to know just how much that meant to me. I was feeling very overwhelmed bringing home my newborn after just having a 12 month old and for a stranger to reach out made me feel like someone was looking out for me. So thank you, you have no idea how much it helped.

Absolutely fantastic quality at this grocery store. My husband and I have been impressed with everything we have purchased from Pete's. We are devoted customers! It is one of the very best things about living in the HRM! Thank you Pete's! We love you!

If your looking for something a little weird odds are Pete's has it! We've been in nova scotia for 4 years and to say there isn't much variety here is a serious understatement.it's pretty damn bland but if you're like us and like new things, variety, ethnic foods Pete's is definitely the place to check out. The staff is very helpful and informative. The cashiers could use some hustle but they get the job done.very slowly. Definitely highly recommend Pete's!

I dont know if the juice bar is part of this but i really enjoyed the juice bar the 2 times i was there. I like how i can see them making the smoothie so i know its real. I had the blueberry and oats one and the mad mango and it was great. I wish the smoothies were a bit cheaper though

I went to Pete's frootique for chicken Caesar wrap I went there before many times and they always made it was fresh they still make it fresh but it's not made the way it used to be used to put it in the bowl which are fresh romaine lettuce croutons cheese bacon bits real bacon bits and chicken they used to weigh it you used to get the same amount each time and used to mix it all up with a mixing tool so it gets the Caesar dressing everywhere this time they throw maybe a handful of lettuce it's a little bit of dressing didn't even use a utensil to mix it up couple pieces of chicken wasn't very much and if peace of bacon then wrapped it up and grilled it it used to be good but it's not anymore now it's not worth what they're asking I would probably be hesitant to go back there again

Good quality food produce and found what we needed. Even a few things that could not be had elsewhere.

The store is always well stocked with excellent quality produce and other products as well. It is an excellent resource for items that can be difficult to source.

This place has definitely gone downhill. When ordering anything at all from their deli side you can stand there for up to 5 mins just waiting for anybody behind the counter to actually come over and help you. Even if they work the lunch line side and see you, they don't even find somebody working the glass fridge side to help you. It used to be that anybody who was on lunch line would also help the other side. But now they rather pretend you're not there so they dont have to serve you and they stay standing in the same spot pretending they're wiping the same counter spot for those 5 minutes that they pretend you don't exist. They are often out of a lot of popular foods they make themselves.so maybe adjust the amount being made to fit the amount being purchased, this should be easy as it's their own homemade products made in their kitchen and not ordered (so no excuse).

My brother-in-law introduced me to Pete's Frootique, and there's no turning back! I am soooo happy that I've discovered Pete's Frootique! I live in Fall River, but it's well worth the drive to Sunnyside Mall in Bedford. The guy at the meat counter today was very helpful and friendly.the BEST! I told him it was my first time at Pete's Frootique and he welcomed me with open arms! Such a wonderful person! In short order, I have quickly become a BIG fan of Pete's Frootique! I will DEFINITELY be a return customer! Once a week (maybe), once every two weeks FOR SURE! They have won me over, and won my business! I'm a "lifer" now.

Great place to buy groceries. Produce is awesome. Very fresh and plenty of everything. Reasonable priced.

Beware of the sandwich place outside of the grocery store. Their great-looking menu coupled with decent prices will lure anyone with a slight appetite in, and once you get your food this might be justifiably so. However, it’s the getting your food part that always blows our minds. I honestly don’t think I have ever experienced slower service… and that says a lot considering the general pace of customer service in the east coast. Doesn’t matter if you’re the only one there, if you don’t have 20+ minutes to wait for your food, don’t bother. They always seem to be out of one or two items that are meant to go on your sandwich, despite being attached to a literal grocery store.

Pete's Frootique need more "Pete" and less corporate "intelligence".
It's certainly lost Pete's unique business flair since being bought by Sobeys 7 years ago.

Visited this location a few weeks ago to buy a salad. Had to ask the guy to give me more than a fork full of lettuce. He did not seem pleased. Customer service was horrible. Will not be back.

Clean fairly well stocked easy to move around inside they could use more staff. Outside main door awkward with road work

I’ve always found interesting foods here. Very nice and helpful staff. They stayed open during the pandemic, which I thought was courageous. I like the new renovations as well.

Not my first choice for regular grocery shopping. Tends to be a little over-priced. I tend to go for specialty items that other stores don't carry, which they have a good selection of.

It's neat and tidy with a huge variety of fresh vegetables, fruit, meats, cheeses, baked goods, natural beauty products. And lots more, like coffees, etc.

They do have a great selection of imported products and I enjoy stopping in one very couple months to have a look.

Only 3 stars because the store is poorly laid out, which is highlighted more so with the addition of covid arrows.

And everything is just a little over priced.

It's a great place to buy fresh fruit and vegetables.at reasonable prices.delicious desserts.and just about anything else your thinking of!

Much smaller and less fresh selection than the Pete's on Dresden Row. But given how hard it is to get good food in the competing chains, I'm still giving them four stars because I found a bunch of things I wanted here.

I have lived Pete's.great selection of specialty items and if you are looking for International goodies.well, this business does its best. If you need something and cannot find it elsewhere.chances are Pete's will have it. Produce as always is wonderful. A real destination for groceries.

Great selection of imported goods, fresh fruits and vegetables. Store is clean and neatly organized. Some products are a tad pricey, which is understandable since they are imported.

(COVID REVIEW) Good selection, however the arrows they have on the ground throughout the store for social distancing make no sense at all, there is no flow and you will find yourself in certain areas of the store with nowhere to go if you intend on following the arrows.
