Had lunch today, Gluten Free pizza, it was sooo good. I missed eating a descent pizza and today was the day. The espresso with ice cream was such a treat and the service was great. Thank you for bringing back good pizza memories, in fact, the best GF pizza in Halifax.

Incredible (currently festive) atmosphere, super affirming, welcoming staff. We got to enjoy the ScotianAires choir, and enjoyed the Arancini appetizer, Calabrese pizza, and Nutella Pizza for dessert. They also had both cocktails and mocktails available.

The 2nd visit, we got the take home, Heat & Eat pizzas were also delicious and a great option over the holiday break for a quick meal.

I enjoy everything about this restaurant, the service, coffee, cocktails, pizza, Caesar salad and pasta are all exceptional. It’s rare in Halifax to find a restaurant with an espresso machine and staff that know how to use it.

The atmosphere was really busy, fun, cozy and friendly. The staff work extremely hard, run off their toes but don’t miss a beat.

We once had a car accident out front and had to wait several hours for CAA to come and they just let us flop there at the bar the whole time. Thank you for the kindness!

Really appreciate that wine is now served in wine glasses, instead of drink glasses. And soft drinks are from can, rather than fountain…small things make a difference. Great vegan pizza!

The best Caesar Salad I’ve had in a long time. Wood oven pizzas were also very tasty. Service was perfect.

Good place with tasty pizza, but stuff can't tell when your pizza will be ready even roughly, we waited for ours for 40 min.so keep that in mind if you are in a rush.

Great proper napoli pizza and the Piatto oil makes the crust a treat! You can buy a bottle for home for around $20 too! Ceaser salad is a must have! Crust/bread is delicious and toppings are always fresh tasting. So many good options - just avoid the lasagna it was meh/watery the one time we ventured a try.

Good food good vibes. We went during the burger week to try their burger. It was good. We also ordered beet salad and Diavola pizza and they were delicious!

I visited this place last night after 9 years. I am here for work so I took myself out to dinner. I remember I used to be absolutely in love with their Margherita. Well, I remembered well. It's the best I had in Canada. It is THAT good!

I haven’t got pizza from piatto for a couple years, but i remembered how good it was a couple days ago and needed to come back again.i was not disappointed! Their pizza is literally so delicious but also doesn’t leave you feeling disgusting afterwards.thin crust pizza is always my favourite but piatto literally has it mastered.it is also so nice to be at a place with vegan options! I cannot recommend their vegano pizza more! I’m not a huge fan of vegan cheese, so i just got it cheeseless but i didn’t love it any less.my friend got the margarita pizza and loved it.she also got the gelato which she loved, and is also a very nice portion for the price.piatto is the type of place you only go to once in a while because you want it to stay so special, but when you go you have any amazing time.the staff are also so so so friendly and the environment is super nice!

The decor is splendid, however the food is just okay. $20+ for a single serve pizza is definitely on the high end, and in my opinion are kinda lacking in substance. The pasta was generic and uninspired. However the service was good, we went on an extremely busy night and had no complaints even with the crazyness.

If you really like 'authentic' Italian cuisine then you'll definitely like it

The pasta was really werid and the waitress were indifferent when we dining in and she seems like she hated her job as I see her rolling her eyes up. I hope business like this will keep being bankrupt when no one wanna work there. Don't open a restaurant if you can't accommodate people

So I have been to Piatto 4 times and each experience was wonderful for food, service and atmosphere. The staff are nice and honest about food recommendations but it is an easy job when everything myself and guests have had so far taste absolutely wonderful. My suggestion, go back until you have tried everything yourself, that is my plan.

One of my favorite pizza places in Halifax! They make a very good gluten free pizza crust and they also have dairy free cheese options.

I had ordered takeout on skip the dishes and the driver unfortunately delivered the wrong order. I called piatto and one of the staff personally delivered my meal to me. Not only is their service fantastic, their food is delicious. Thank you to whoever brought a hungry girl her salad on a Friday night

Pizza was great, appetiser was delicious too. Arancini was our first time but sure not last. Highly recommend the pizza and the antipasti.

Authentic Italian food and experience. They take the Italian way to do things really serious. Super recommend.

Nothing beats patio dining in sunny Halifax, Nova Scotia. Piatto makes a delicious vegetarian wood-fired pizza that pairs well with local beer, a flute of prosecco, or a refreshing Aperol cocktail. Switch seats for view of the harbour and jellybean coloured row houses. Eat-in, takeout, or delivery available.

Crowds are just fine and so servers. Didn't dine here so far, but drink collection is a bit weak to me.
That nostalgic Vespa motor bike keeps me still motivated enough to step inside while the place is located in one of the best part of the city and close to me. I wish I could have much time to spend there at ease and patience.
Update: If you want to have authentic Italian food and great customer service, don't miss this place.

What a shame. I do not think I’ve had a worse pizza including cheap frozen pizza. Base very wet, the pepperoni was like the Chris Brothers stuff which would be fine if it weren’t on a pizza, and the tomato base was like a can of cheap tomatoes. Crust tasted ok so there’s the up side! And was so looking forward to it: (

Great spot for pizza and wine! We had "the stephanie" and the "funghi" pizza, both delicious.the restaurant was quiet, but the experience was made fun and lively by our server Julie who told us stories about the restaurant and pizza traditions!

Great supper as usual, always happy with the food and service. Olivia was great. It's our go to place for any special occasion.

Still open when many restaurants have closed the dining-in option for covid. Easy to dine away from others for social distancing. Great service, and really good pizza with affordable lunch sizes!

Great place.

The food was great. The pizza was great. There was an offer for wine and snack that I didn't want to miss and it was great.
The owner (I believe he is) visited our table and was so nice to offer my kids a pizza dough each and teached them how to do pizza as he learned in Italy.

This place was a great find. Just slightly off the tourist path but not to far. The pizza was fantastic the beer was ice cold. This place is well worth stopping by if you have a pizza craving.

Great pizza, especially the VPN pizza. For those not in the know, "VPN" pizza is certified by the association of real neopolitan pizza over in Italy, which is the entity that legally certifies "neopolitan pizza" in Europe. This is one of the few places I've been to that has this kind of pizza, and it is definitely a great experience. Possibly one of the best cheese pizzas that I have had.

Pretty disappointing first experience. Can't say I'll be back. Service was incredibly slow and the pizza was super disappointong as well. It definitely looked good when it came out but it was so wet on the bottom that it was soggy and the only way I could eat it was by folding it and that's unacceptable. Overall just really unimpressed.

No other pizzeria in Halifax like this one, the pizzas are phenomenal and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

The pizza’s are stone oven baked, and truly authentic.

If you would like to spend a little more on pizza I would certainly recommend.

My son and I were in tonight for our usual favorite fire oven pizza. The owner treated us to some new tasty corn fritters and finished Matt off with a Nutella Pizza desert on the house. Great service and clearly the best pizza in Halifax. Piatto is world class Italian fare.

This Pizzeria is definitely a cut above the rest in Halifax. Residing in the high class Vic Suites building. The restaurant uses its blacks and whites with great contrast for an inviting decor. With the color of the pizza and the two Vespas to bring more warmth to a place that already has a piping hot ceramic pizza oven on display.

They have really pushed themselves with technology by putting the menu at your fingertips with a scan code printed on your table. The flavors are plentiful, the vegetables are fresh and you will not be disappointed. This is truly an eat in location, do not do delivery. Do yourself a favor and get here yourself!

Drove 1.5 hours to eat here. My girlfriend had " the stephanie" and I had the " siciliana". Both pizzas were hot and fresh out of the wood fired oven. Full of flavor with a light delicate crust. 2 pizzas and the the tip was 49 dollars, it's a deal for the freshest pizza I've had in years. I pared it with snoop dogs red wine, 19 crimes California red.

I have been here only once with extremely awful expereince. I remember we went there on the Thanksgiving day (not really remembered the date). To be honest, the food was good, but the service was the worst.

We were waiting for the waitress coming to us for about an hour. We waited at least 15 mins for the menu and water (firstly we did not complaint about it since we know she was definately busy at the day). Then we planned to try some desserts after meals, and, the waitress NEVER came to us after giving us meals on table (not even asked us if water needed to be refilled). We waited there for about over 30mins after meals, and we saw she went to other tables to ask how was the food like that but ignoring us (maybe. I am not sure). Then we gave up with no dessert and full of anger.

To date, I am not sure if she still works here. But I sincerely would like to suggest to maintain the high-quality customer service as Piatto is a high-quality restaurant with amazing taste. I really wish to have a great time here next time.

Amazing food and A-1 service from our server Rachel! Perfect pizza in a warm atmosphere a hop and a skip from the waterfront. Definitely a go to date night plan for anyone who can an appreciate authentic Italian pizza and a well trained professional staff. You nailed it Rachel!

My go to place for Pizza in the HRM. Great selection and well prepared. I frequent it often and the service is excellent, particularly Rachel who is very efficient and courteous.

This is the closest I could get to a pizza from Napoli, Italy. I am from there so coming from me it’s a compliment:)! I also worked in a pizza place for 4 years back in Italy. Great service and they also added anchovies garlic and rosemary to my marinara which made me extremely happy! One thing.the pizza was a bit burnt. Will return though, you guys rock anyway!

Great place with upbeat atmosphere. The food quality was great with traditional authentic Italian style pizza. Service was friendly as well. I would go back.

The food and environment is great, a little pricey but that's too be expected. You can see the cooks preparing your pizza. During holidays it is advisable to make reservations a week in advance.

Best pizza I know between Rome and Montreal. Neapolitan pizzas were almost a weekly tradition back in Vancouver, and I was stoked to find Piatto. Service has always been consistent. Sometimes they are a little too busy, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, but nothing that puts me off from going there.

Great wood oven pizza! Several vegetarian options. Their lunch specials are great. I've visited this chain a couple of times and I always loved what I had from their menu.

Tasty. I always love a good wood fired pizza if done properly. This was. The meatballs were like little burst of flavour though and ended up being my favourite part of the meal.

Blown away. The best "authentic" pizza I've had. Super flavourful, great crust, delicious fresh tomatoes. The server was very friendly and service was quick. I had a side Caesar salad which was also very tasty, with generous pieces of bacon.

Very nice pizza (I had the prosciutto with arugula) and warm atmosphere. The beer selection was a little weaker than most other places in the city.

I myself don't "love" the place but I love my wife, and she loves the place so 5 stars to the chef (s)! This is THE only place you will find delicious and authentic Italian food downtown. BTW stay where you are seated or they won't wait on you, instead they ignore you. We waited 20 mins to be approached after moving one table over and only after I loudly spoke up when I watched several people who arrived after us get waited on. Was NOT impressed whatsoever so 3 stars to the wait staff.

Very slow and inattentive service. Can't imagine going back when there are restaurants like Morris East and Mother's in the same city.

Delicious and good lunch deal of Caesar salad and pizza. I always appreciate the spicy olive oil for the Pizza. Great service.
