Pilot Whale Chalets

We've stayed here twice with a ten year gap and the chalets/grounds remain in excellent condition. Comfortable queen/king size beds in large private bedrooms, large sitting area for lounging in front of a fire place (some are wood burning.wood not supplied.but are being phased out in favour of safer/cleaner propane), fully equipped kitchens with full fridge/stove/oven/ microwave/dishwasher.
Short walk to a private beach to watch sunsets.

Well maintained property, nice and clean cottage with amazing view of ocean and mountains.

I made a reservation 2 months in advance, it was just a credit card pre-authorization, but she deducted the full amount on the same day without my consent. I didn't know until I checked my bank card. I booked for 2 nights, I canceled the second night because my finger got hurt. I gave them 48 hours notice as per their policy, but they still wanted to keep my money and the attitude was very bad. She wouldn't accept any nights from me, but she wouldn't refund me right away. So I had to find accommodation again and drove with my injured hand on the winding mountain roads, almost 100 miles round trip to find her to get my refund. She said she didn't have time to process the refund and wouldn't let me and the kids stay. She also lied about my husband scolding her. She also said that I called at the beginning and I begged her to pay the full amount 2 months in advance. Her room is not good, and there is no need to queue in advance, so why do I need to pay the full amount? On the day of my refund requirements, I checked her website and found that she still has a lot of vacancies. So please don't book there, the location is outside the national park, the mosquitos are extremely crazy. When I went to ask for my money back, a guest also tried to complain to her because I had a few words with that customer. The owner very unfriendly and it is a very depressing stay.
