Plage St-Pierre

Sites 110,150 and 151 are absolutely disgusting. Sites 150 and 151 are abandoned and 110 is full of ants. The locals advised us not to come here but as everything else was booked, here we are at 110 with the ants after we declined our original site at 150. This campground is typical of what we see nowadays, it is 75% seasonals, so the campground doesn't give much care to the park.

It was always one of our favorite places in Cape Breton but the last two times were not satisfactory. Two years ago we had a spot near the men's washroom and people walked through our site all day and night. This time we had a spot that was tight with a deck that someone had left when they moved out. That wasn't the problem though. The septic covers on our site and the next site to us were not very good so we had to put up with septic smell for four days. There should be screw type covers installed. Also, the road was riddled with deep potholes and when I asked if they were going to fix them I was told they were operating half staffed and the roads were something they couldn't look at this year. To think of how many trailers and RVs traveled over those roads each day, that you wouldn't have to try to avoid potholes. However the staff were friendly and for the most part accommodating.

Beach is beautiful and the stars looked crazy. Had a good time at my fire and everyone around seemed friendly. However, I had to use the bathroom in the pitch black stall and the toilets aren’t secure into the ground, no toilet paper and no paper towel. The toilet literally fell forward on me. Also, showers are disgusting. But then again, it’s camping. I could be shower-less in the woods. Overall, good campground:)

This little camping site is well located on an island that faces the ocean on on side, and the gorge of the small city of Sheticamp; both are stunning. The camp site has two zones; one with a wider open field view, and the other for tents and RVs. The tent/RV sites are a little too close to each other for my taste, but are nice and the showers/toilets are clean. Irrelevant of this, the camp site is very close to the Briton Highlands national park which us great and offers so nice views and walkable trails. Amazing side of the country.

Bloc sanitaire peu invitant; araignées et autres moustiques dans des toiles juste au-dessus des douches. Plage souillée quand on prend l'accès à partir du camping. 45$ pour un site pour tente, sans eau ni électricité; c'est très cher car j'ai payé 46$ à 2 endroits différents en Nouvelle-Écosse pour 3 services et des blocs sanitaires impeccables. J'ai tenté de réserver en ligne, mais on pouvait seulement réserver par téléphone; j'ai téléphoné à 3 reprises et je tombais sur un message automatisé qui m'invitait à laisser un message, mais on ne me rappelait JAMAIS. J'ai donc décidé de me rendre sur place; je suis arrivé vers 17 h un samedi et le poste d'accueil était fermé. On m'invitait à me présenter vers 9 h le lendemain pour régler, mais quand on fait de la route et qu'on veut partir très tôt le lendemain, c'est loin d'être l'idéal! Pensez-y à 2 fois avant de choisir ce camping!

Campground is great! The beach is beautiful, the weather is great and the people of Cheticamp are so friendly. The owner can be rude. He doesn't offer any activities for the campers, even the seasonal campers.

Très beau (plage) et l’eau est chaude! Nous étions sur loverflow donc pas eu trop à aller dans le camping! Service en français par des employés soucieux du bien-être de leurs clients.

We went in the summer. The water was super warm, the conditions were amazing and everyone was so friendly. Tons of stuff to do there and an amazing experience. Great place to bring the family. The space we had was right next to the trail to the beach. There was some garbage in the space, but other than that it was perfect. All the seasonals were super friendly too.

The staff were very friendly. The beach was absolutely AMAZING. Our site was too small for a 12 foot tent trailer. It was a corner site on the road. We had a view of the trees and all the cars parked along the road. There was an occasional sewer smell. The sites are very close together. The bathrooms were very clean but older. The shower doors were high off the ground. The bathrooms were set up for COVID, the sign indicated one person at a time, campers were not following the protocols and no masks required in the bathrooms. We stayed on a long weekend, the campground was busy. A few sites were very social and loud in the evening. We think we found the dumping station - it was pipe sticking out of the ground. No water hose for rinsing. At least we think that was the dumping station, we did not use it. If you cancel you do not get a refund but the staff are very accommodating with rescheduling.

AMAZING! Since all other surrounding RV compatible campgrounds have been fully booked we decided to go to this one. And it was simply amazing except the wifi - this only worked at the office. But the staff was really friendly and the camping side was beautiful with a beachside. Fireplaces have been also there. Showers were free but the facilities could be cleaner. Would go there again!

Nice tidy Campground with tremendous ocean View. Internet very slow and only available at the reception

Had a great stay here in there tenting cabin. A little away from the campers, but felt like you had some privacy. Close to a beautiful beach ad great views! Friendly staff who helped right away with anything needed!

Right on the ocean but watch for 5.0 for your fire at 12: 30 dousing. Other then that it was great

On nous dit qu’il y a de la place avec vue sur l’eau à 50$ nuit donc un peu plus cher que dans le campground. On s’est dit go, ca va etre super! Mais finalement le propriétaire avait permis à son frère de stationner son gros camion derrière nous et à chaque matin, à 5h30 il partait travailler. Donc oui vue dur mer mais avec gros camion derrière et qui nous reveillait chaque matin. On a parlé au front desk qui nous ont dit qu’il fallait parler au proprio mais nous ont pas aidé à lui parler. Et ils n’ont rien fait. Nous avons décidé de partir. Alors non je ne recommande pas cette place qui finalement ne se préoccupe pas du bien-être des clients l.

A nice spot on a gorgeous beach with relatively warm water. Bathrooms are kept clean and campsite is well kept. Tent sites are very close to each other and most in the open, but there are a few in the “90’s” zone that give a woods atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff on site.

Recently spent a few days here with family. Decent campground but washrooms need updated and road dust is quite bad. The beach is great and only a very short walk from the campground. Nice place to walk, sunbath or swim. The location is also great being so close to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The Cabot Trail is beautiful and a true treasure.

Somewhat cold welcoming, but the site is fine with clean amenities. We planted our tent on the « overflow » area for a scenic view, but our night was terrible due to heavy winds shaking us good all night long. We were told by other campers it was an unusually winding night, but we would have appreciated staff’s input on the risks of staying in the overflow with a simple tent. Literally had to sleep in the car at some point in the night. Makes for a fun story tho!

Love this place! Will totally recommend. Everyone is so friendly and very welcoming! Washrooms are so clean. And, their beach is just a bonus!

Campsites are crammed together. If you want to hang out and listen to the Nickelback your neighbor is playing 4 feet from you I highly recommend it.

If you want screaming children, loud music, over crowding, bad roads, and the list goes on and on! The worst rv park ever! We left 4 days early just to get out of there!

Terrain extrêmement petit pour placer la tente ET l'auto.
Les douches sont exécrables; 3 jets tout croche et eau orange rouille qui laisse sa couleur sur les choses blanches et les ongles.
Administration mal organisée, plusieurs conflits de terrains et autres.
Accès à la plage rapide et belle plage.

We were happy to pitch our tent here for the night. Close proximity to a great beach, quiet at night, very clean bathrooms, illuminated paths at night, and super friendly staff!

Great place. Friendly staff. If your ok with no hook up the overflow area has a view that can’t be missed. They also have full hook up sites but no view.

This is a very friendly campground. Spots are not huge they advertise that they have wifi but it's only if you sit at the office not good

Nice campground, great beach, friendly helpful staff. Washrooms and some amenities need upgraded.

On m'a donné un terrain déjà occupé en me disant que j en avait de la moitié et ce n' était pas le cas photos a l appuie m'a fait payé 40 dollars pour un terrain mi août un service à la grosse pluie battante j ai du faire leur job pour allez voir les terrains inondées! Plus pressé d encaissé mon argents que de me donner un service digne de ce nom! Archi déçu par cette endroit où je suis déjà allé il y a très longtemps ça bien changé je recommande a peine il y en a plein d autre heureux de vous accueillir comme ils se doit!
