We recently visited Louisburg and stayed in the town at a charming little hotel downtown. I remembered reading about this place and said to my guests who were visiting from New York "We should check this out for another time". We stopped in, before our visit at the Fort the next morning.
We visited the gift shop without ever being acknowledged by a living soul, and then poked our head into the restaurant;to be greeted by one of the celebrity owners, only to be told to "get out, it wasn't open". In the nicest Scottish accent.
Ugh.
Not impressed.
Not Nova Scotian hospitality.by a country mile!
Do better.

Fantastic stay at the North Star. Room was lovely and accessible. Dinner at the Bothy was delicious, service was top notch friendly and the music was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were opening top buttons under our shirts. Breakfast the next morning was spot on prepared. Mrs. MacDonald was a very gracious hostess. Justin and Colin are naturally welcoming and the seem to set a tone of welcome vibes that extend throughout the whole place.
