You can either pay a 9$ reservation fee to book online otherwise you need to make a reservation over their phone (even though there’s someone sitting in the office) and you need exact change to make this reservation. It seems like the only purpose of someone being in their office is to tell you you’re going the wrong way when you exit through their entrance (which is right next to the exit) because their exit has a giant pothole/puddle/lake in front of it. Maybe they can use the 9$ reservation fee to fix the potholes

Great price for full service needs. However your only on site with power and water. Your black tank can be flushed at the designated area.
Digital access to lots.
Public showers and washrooms

Nice campground, not many electric sites so book early if you can. The lake is saltwater! Still decent

Great campground! Most lots have plenty of privacy and the comfort station is close to most. Despite the size of the lake the brush helped break the wind really well

Clean and quiet. Water and power but no site septic. Sani Dump on the way out. Nice fire pits and wood available for five bucks. Beautiful lake and swimming area. Super dog friendly.

Schöner Park, coole Location und alles. Ding ist halt nur, dass die Toiletten kaputt waren sowie die Dusche, welche nicht zu betreten war.

Coming from Ontario we were not expecting a self check-in/ self service park with no employees but it ran smoothly. We had a short walk in site right by the water and had lots of privacy from our 1 neighbour. The washrooms could be cleaned more often and refilled with sanitizer. The water also came out yellowy but tasted fine.

We had the best family weekend spent alot time fishing an swimming.they need to update the maps as they are not correct anymore an maybe label the hiking trail so it is easily found

Honestly my favorite camp ground hands down, only wish they had a play ground and a sanded area for swimming. Lots are beautiful and very private, staff are very helpful and friendly.

Recommend wearing footwear into the water when swimming or playing. Sharp shells and rocks.

Very basic amenities, public day use boat launch, though shallow and prone to stealing licence plates.

A few hiking trails, which unofficially double for skiing in the winter.

Very nice park I've never been there before despite living in this province almost my entire life. We found a little out of the way Beach that my kids adored. We still have a little while left of summer so we're going to book some nights for camping soon.

The park allowed campers to change their campsite even though they paid for a different site. We showed up and they said there might be someone in our site and to go look and see. We had to take the site the other people had booked as we would have had to wait for them to take down three tents etc etc. Park staff should have cleared this up prior to allowing the site to be double booked. The park staff didnt even check the site prior to our check in and there was a dire still burning and nothing was cleaned up.not very good service when charging $29 to camp.

Other than that, the park is big.lots of walk in sites which are a little more secluded. Lots of access to water amd open areas. Would camp here again.

Great place to go walking. I am only giving it three stars because you really have to watch your step. It seems like people don’t like to pick up after their pets.

Online details are not very impressive. One should visit in person to ensure the lot is suitable for your stay

Booking a campsite online is very easy to do. The tent sites are large and relatively private. I stayed in a site that requires you to walk down to and the privacy there was great. There was access to the lake from my tent site and from most of the others. Not too far away from gas stations and grocery stores either. 10/10 recommended this place.

I was hesitant about writing this review in-case more people discover the AMAZING tent sites. Incredible location, almost every walk-in site has privacy and the water is a mix of salt and fresh water (dog owners don't have to worry about algae blooms as much as just fresh water!)

This is an unbelievable place. Endless waterfront land, so beautifully apportioned to campers, with views, lakeside lots (for walk-ins), and lots of opportunities for people to wander, swim, kayak, and just know your kids are having a whale of a time beside a fresh water lake. Pure relaxation here and a step off of a wound-up world!

It's a nice park with lots of nice waterfront sites with decent privacy options. There's no playground for children.

It’s a nice park, I tented and stayed there in my 34 foot travel trailer many times. The nicest sites for tents is loop C right on the lake big private lots every site is awesome but tents only in loop C. Loop B has really nice sites also for travel trailers, I think tents can use loop B also but if you have a tent try to get on loop C you won't regret it. Loop B has nice sites mostly private and big but no hook ups at any of them, you will need to run a generator or your camper battires for power and propane fridge. But there are washroom and showers water taps close to all sites. Loop B is not on the water but a few sites you can see the water like site 11 my fav in that loop. And loop A is like 10 sites with power and water hook ups not very nice sites close together and not private but on the water. Theres lots of walking trails and places to swim on site. Lawrencetown beach is a short drive and Porters lake has a superstore and Liquor store Tim Hortons ext about 10 km away. Over all its a very nice park

Filthy campsite (73, loop c) littered with food scraps, cigarette and weed butts. Non stop parade of the same 3 cars driving back and forth at high speeds through the campground. Additionally the park ranger driving by every 20 minutes for HOURS, windows down, music blaring. Far from a genuine camping experience. Gross. This place used to be great and relaxing and has for sure suffered the effects of the pandemic.

Love this campground. It is great for not only camping, but many other day uses as well. It has a boat launch so you can bring your boat for a day on one of Nova Scotia’s largest and most magnificent lakes for a day of recreation, fun, fishing, or other water sports. There is a picnic area for day visitors with areas next to the water. Lots of amenities, good washroom facilities. They have fantastic walk-in sites right on the water. Very few campsites with power though, so that may be its only drawback. Beautiful spot, and we even found some Lady Slippers along one of the wilderness trails.

The entrance road is a frost heave mess. The walking trails are not well kept or scenic. There are not enough areas to sit and enjoy the Lake views. It has the potential to be a fantastic park that could be used year round, but suffers from funding and organizational neglect.

Booked walk in site 44, beautiful, massive site with private lake access. Our second day, we had some university students book #43 right next to us but they were very respectful and went to sleep at a reasonable hour.
Reason for 4 stars: there was the beginnings of a hornets nest in the outhouse and wood was only sold a few hours a day. When the wood wasn't for sale, good luck finding a ranger! We saw their truck but nothing else all weekend. Would have been nice to see more presence during our stay.

Great spot for a day outing with the kids. Convenient picnic sites, clean and accessible. Didn't get a chance to try out the camping/overnight spots. Great trails that are family friendly including small children.
