Quality Inn Halifax Airport

Tub surround had brown stains (human waste?) on it, toilet flush handle was broken and dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling. Disgusting.
The night manager offered a room swap but we were settled and very tired, the day manager wrote in a email we should have switched rooms with no apology. It is what it is a dirty old dump.

Good location and friendly staff. Rooms are ok just average. The restaurant food was great and friendly staff.

Hotel was absolutely revolting. Cancelled our stay and left after 5 minutes as it was unfit. The only redeeming quality was the pleasant staff, however, we woke to find our credit card information stolen.

Not the greatest rooms, had to move out of one because of mold around the tub/shower. They did move us to another room. Good bar/ restaurant in the building.

This hotel and restaurant are in serious need of upkeep and service.
The halls are dirty, the so called newly painted rooms are already worn and scratched. The paint is peeling off at the corners. Whoever the contractors are, they are doing a bad job.
The restaurant is pathetic, the service is worse. The Servers that are doing the breakfast shift, cannot be bothered to do anything except look at their phones and drink their tea.
Will mot stay at this place again.

Service was ok, although no one really seemed that interested in the customers. Front desk staff were distant for the most part.
Rooms were ok, fairly clean, overall the place was a but worn out and in need of some freshening up.
I'd probably stay here again, for the price.

Not worth the price. Restaurant prices are ridiculously over priced for the food and service. Ten bucks to play pool or darts! Rooms dated. Suttle is good. Parking is the reason we stay-period.

Building under renovation but staff are kind and helpful. Stay 1 night and get up to 2 weeks free parking.and shuttle service? Yes Please! Restaurant in hotel always amazing!

Booked a room after a long flight with my hubby. The lady at the desk was friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious enough for a dance floor as my hubby said. The room was nicely renovated and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and had a wonderful sleep. Everything else was fine. Just be aware that there's $100 deposit on your credit card.

The heated indoor swimming pool wasn't very warm, and the lower floor hallways had a funky smell. The staff was friendly, and the food was good. I loved the complimentary fresh coffee 24/7

Way nicer hotels just around the corner. Don't waste your time or money. Room was fility, had many problems with room and keys to have nothing resolved. Manager Dana left rude message on my phone after trying to file a complaint I called her back 8 times but couldn't get a hold of her? Had a staff member Katie ignorantly reply to my email, when she wasn't even present for my stay. I emailed Emil the general manager but haven't had any reply.
Zero hospitality at this hotel, you do not get what you pay for here. It's the no quality Inn. Spare you're money and time.

Other 2 airport hotel were booked up. Stayed here because it was the only one with availability. Don’t waste your money here pay a little and trust me you’ll thank me. Tub was filthy, room had carpet damp smell. AC barely working unless let super low temperature. Earwig found in bed, ants all over the floor, desk, wall. Was sleeping and my arm itched and I looked of course an ant crawling on my arm. End up changing rooms. Front desk wasn’t surprised at all. I’m guessing it’s common and spray was a regular job done here but not enough. It’s infested with all kinds of bugs. Never ever staying here again. At this point sleeping in lobby might be a better safer choice. Alt is the hotel to stay.

The location is great for the airport with a shuttle, but the free breakfast is not served until 6am (so you can't have it if your flight is 8am or earlier). I was disappointed since we had booked here in part for the free breakfast, but we ended up buying breakfast for 6 at the airport. There were also not enough staff to handle the rush, I requested a crib and was told the bellhop would bring it up. After an hour, I tried to call, but the phone was broken. I had to go down and ask again (with a big crowd all annoyed with me), and then the front desk person had to bring it up herself despite the long line. This place could be great, but it needs a little work.

My partner and I stayed at the quality Inn on June 9th 2023.
I picked my husband up at the hailfax airport then went and checked into our room. Which was a king suite. We went inside and started to unpack. We noticed a couple dirty towels on the back of the door. So we called front desk to let them know, the lady working came up to our room and took the towels off the door. She didn't not offer to switch our room, she only offered us 10 dollars off our room. That was kind of a shock to me but I accepted that because after my partners 13 hour flight and my 6 hour drive we were just exhausted.
A little later we left the room to go get some food, came back. Our keys didn't work so Anthony went and had the keys changed, they didn't work again.after another time having them changed they didn't work again. The manager came and it took her a few trys to get us in the room. By then we were starting to get a bit annoyed, she again didn't offer to change our room.again. After that we felt like we couldn't leave the room because we didn't know if we would get back in. Not a very nice feeling. But again we accepted the poor service. We uncomfortablely went to sleep and woke up in the morning and started packing up. We noticed behind the tv stand in the bedroom, garbage and lots of dirt and cob webs which let to us noticing lots of cob webs and dirt around the room. I have worked in housekeeping in NB so I know the standards and that room was completely unacceptable. Also when we went to check out they charged my card wrong and we ended up paying out of the money they offered for the dirty towels. It was truly one of the worst experiences we have ever had in a hotel. We travel alot and it was our first stay with you guys so we definitely had higher standers for your king suite. I'm writing this complaint and asking for a full refund on the room as the king suite was definitely not up standers. I'm even wondering if the bad was changed. I wish I could upload the pictures I sent to the gm and guest services because this room was very dirty. I have reached out and emailed to be hung up on and lied too about MY experience. No one is even trying to help us with our complaint. Not worth the stay, avoid this very outdated, dirty hotel. Very poor all around. **** Added pictures***

Room keys kept demagnitizing and wouldn't open the doors. Not until the third key could I even get into the room. Room smells strongly of smoke.

This is a very large hotel and it was very busy for our stay. Breakfast selection is limited, coffee was horrible. The location is excellent, being less than 5 minutes from the airport.

I had to cancel my trip because my father with dementia fell and broke his hip. The hotel had zero sympathy and complete disregard for customer service. I am not being refunded for the family medical emergency.

Had a nice meal in restaurant before checking in a little early. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Nice, clean room with 2 comfortable queen beds. Frequent, free shuttle to the airport.

Due to the wild fires and the state of emergency issued by the province we were unable to visit Halifax. The hotel declined to refund our booking. The wild fires fall under a force majeure condition. Both Expedia and quality inn point fingers at each other stating their policy didn’t allow for refunds. Never again will I use Expedia not stay at this hotel.

As far as airport hotels go, it was pretty decent. It was dated and there is no hot tub. But that old -hotel smell- (you know the one) wasn't very present thankfully in the rooms. The free breakfast was a definite disappointment- but I guess you can't complain too much when it's free. Your options were very limited, egg, sausage, falafel and toast or cereal.
The room was great though; we had a large suite and did not hear anyone else the entire time we were there. Beds were comfy and large enough for everyone to have their own space.

I've been using this location to park when traveling and they are much quicker than park and fly. Very helpful and kind staff

Perfect place to stay as they offer 2 weeks free parking, free shuttle to and from airport, and a continental breakfast.

They don’t clean the room unless you stay 3 nights….

Hotel is older, needs some TLC, but the rooms were very clean and seem to have been updated. I wouldn't stay here again due to my interactions with Kari, the guest services manager.

Restaurant and bar on site as well as a small casino gaming nook with 3 machines. Great location. We only stayed one night but we saw that airline guests can leave their car there for free for 2 weeks, with a 1 night stay. There is even an arrival/departure screen in the lobby and shuttles to/from the airport.

Was my go-to place. Always booked it for airport parking, shuttle and hot-tub.and tub was broken and was told they are NEVER going to fix it. VERY sad. There is nothing around and hotel restaurant /bar is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced! Staff has always been fantastic and their parking deal is great!
