What's not to like about double liver? Loved it - food, staff, well laid out inside, more space than you'd think from the outside. Much better than a cookie-cutter corporate takeout!

Cute and clean dinner. Fish was very fresh and well seasoned. Fries and fish batter were pretty greasy tho, so one star off for that. I couldn’t even eat battered part of fish, it was just grease on outside and soft uncooked batter inside. Some people might love extreme grease of course or we just were there at wrong time. Either way it’s not a bad food stop considering how few options you have around.

Great diner food, well made and on the table surprisingly quickly. I had fish and chips, tartar sauce was home made, very crispy breading on the fish. My companion had the cheeseburger platter and left a clean plate.

A nice interior dining space that's more upscale than a typical diner. Large deck in front with big picnic tables that could accommodate six or eight people. I stopped by for a cheeseburger platter and a pop. Perhaps I'm stingy but just north of $20 seemed a little expensive. The burger did not disappoint. It was a nice fresh charbroiled patty with a very unique and special toasted bun. If you love and are familiar with the buns you usually get from hellofresh this is not unlike that. I got the works and the toppings were very much to my liking. This included lettuce, tomato and thinly sliced onion. A great roadside stop. A varied menu with many choices and if they're all as well done as the cheeseburger I can only hope to return.

It was my first time eating here and I must say the food was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly, and the service was amazing.

Lovely fish and chips. Wonderful home made coconut cream pie. Friendly and good service. We ate outside. Heard wonderful things from other patron's about the chowder. Next time, the chowder. We will be back!

Such a good atmosphere. Great food. Their Burger is amazing and they have friendly staff. Got our food in 15 mins:)

We stopped in after a Fall hike to Taylor Head Park, and we super happy with the food, price and service. We were a group of 5 who had pan fried haddock ($12), fish and chips and the Sunday special, fish cakes, beans, chow chow and a molasses bun ($13.95). We all opted for a coconut cream pie to go ($4) which was stellar - you would have paid $9-10 in Halifax for the portion we were given too. The kitchen from what you could see from the order window and seating areas were very clean, the portions were large and the ladies behind the counter and severs, were friendly. While I wouldn't drive all the way from Hammonds Plains to go there:) if you are in the area I highly recommend.

Great quick stop. The place was extremely clean. Had the lemon pie and my wife the coconut cream pie, they were awesome. Great friendly service

What a excellent spot for a meal! The staff were excellent and perfection is their game! Will definately return!

Have been several times, enjoy the food very much, especially the desserts. Went in today and when I asked about a dessert on the board, the woman at the counter whom I find inhospitable was her usual self & came out front and rubbed the item off and gruffly said it wasn't supposed to be there. Was ok with that & asked to have a peek at the remaining desert. She didn't want to show me & just blurted out what was in it and huffed out something about a rush and restocking the place. There was only one table outside with a few girls at it, so it didn't seem to busy at the moment. If i'm going to drop some $$ for a meal, i'll respect the place and be respected for it. We left & spent our money elsewhere.
