Thanks for NOT sharing your change of hours on Google. It says on the door that it's for xmas but apparently it's been like that for a year so NO EXCUSE FOR NOT CHANGING YOUR HOURS on Google. Because you din't change your hours online now you have one severely passed off (no longer going to be a) customer. The MacKay is closed this weekend and I just spent an hour getting here from Halifax to find you closed. If I can find dryer belts anywhere else I will never grace your doorstep again. Recommend Midbec- they are open on Saturday and great customer service.

Was looking for a door lever for a very old microwave.thought for sure they wouldn't have it.well they didn't in Dartmouth but they did in Ontario.very quickly it was ordered and now on the way to my house next week. Very happy with the knowledge and professionalism of the lady I spoke with.

I have never yet gone to them with a part they didn't have or couldn't find. I'm sure my luck will eventually run out but I'm impressed with the excellent service

The young man who was working at the store this morning was unnecessarily rude in the way he spoke to me today. It was embarrassing and I will never buy parts from here or recommend it based on just how rude and loud he was with me.

Purchased a replacement dryer timer and when I got home, I realized there were very slight differences in the timer I had purchased vs the one that needed to be replaced (the new one was missing a couple of terminals). I didn't notice this when examining the pictures using their website.

When I attempted to return the unused part, I was very rudely told the item could not be returned and pointed to a sign behind the register that I did not notice and was not told about at initial purchase. Two staff were extremely condescending and mean, responding with short, rude, answers to my questions. For example, I asked what people do in my situation, and was told that they say "oh well", and then "throw it in the garbage". Such poorly trained staff would be a liability to any business and are reflective of management. Honestly, I've never experienced anything even close to this.

I understand that technically I am at fault, and that policies are policies, but this particular scenario is an example of simply awful customer service. I'll be sure never to go there again, and I would recommend seeking out alternatives if at all possible. If not, be extremely careful before making a purchase and expect a terrible experience.

It was a little frustrating with the two numbers.
There was a lack communication between the parent company and the Dartmouth store.
They were pleasant though.
However, the price for a control handle for my stove was extremely expensive.
$23.00.
Therefore, I would recommend to go to another store.

Very poor customer service between local store and 1-800 number. Local store will not talk to you on phone.
Order heating element. Charged credit card, 1 week later reversed charge, 2 weeks later charged credit card. Another week later, now charge reversed again.
Its been a month, call to check on availability of part. Told there is one in British Columbia. Should take about 10 days. Asked about my order, was told its faster to get part from Manufacture in United States, and thats why its been 4 weeks and still hasn’t bern shipped.
There has been no communication, email or otherwise.
At this point I’m unsure if they ever intend on shipping part.

Update: After 5 weeks i called cancelled order. Still hadn’t been shipped. Contact Parts Select.ca, ordered and received part from their competition in 5 days.

Will never order from Reliable again.

Well in the end, I got what I needed but it took 2 tries to get the correct stovetop for my stove. The service was friendly but time consuming returning and reordering and the wait!

I ordered parts for a 6 year old GE washer and received them quickly. I spoke with a couple employees and they were helpful and courteous. The price for the parts and shipping was reasonable as well.

I spent a week trying to track down the part number for the element in my oven. I couldn't find it anywhere online. I emailed Reliable Parts, they got back to me the next day with the part number. I picked it up from them the next day! Great service and my oven works again!

This was my second time buying parts here, and I'll be back if I need parts again. Each time was the same.

I supply the model number of the appliance I am repairing and discribe the part I need. Then they order that part. Then they call me when it comes in. One time they even had the part in stock.

Highly recommended if you are looking for parts for your household appliances and don't want to pay a technician for there services.

Not very reliable. Ordered a part online because we live an hour away. They didn't ever send us a confirmation email to pick up the part we needed for our dryer, and then when we called the first time to see if it was ready, they said it could take hours or all day to get it ready. So we waited until the next day and still no email confirmation. We called again and this time they told us of course it was ready for pick up, as they had tons of the same part right there in store. We drove an hour to the city to get the part and they asked for the email confirmation that we never received. We had to explain t his entire incident and FINALLY got the part we needed.

Waited on hold for 18 minutes just to get a price on some parts for my fridge, then hung up on before someone came back to the line. Good job Reliable Parts, guess I'll go somewhere else for better service

They're two-for-two success, about a year apart. I drop by on a Saturday morning, they've had the EXACT (identical) part in stock. I take it home, and install it. Done. Appliance up and running again. I appreciate them being open on Saturday morning, and having very good inventory on hand. Thanks.

Called them this morning, sat on hold until someone was available.
Guy I spoke with looked up the parts to reverse the swing of my fridge doors. Took about 15-20 minutes to find out the door hinge is reversible. Tested it out and sure enough it was. Cost me nothing and still helped me resolve my issues. Great customer service. Thank you.

They apparently don’t answer there phone, I called three times on hold for each call 10-15 minutes without an answer. Decided to drive all the way to burnside and the “gentleman” at the front desk was far from one. I’ll be going online for my future parts purchase.

Called 5 times, and was hung up on 5 times in a row, how do customers contact you? I'm waiting listening to their background music, then nothing, they hung up! 5 times in a row. I found what I needed at another store. Terrible service, not very reliable!

I had great service from Reliable Parts in Dartmouth, NS - once I got through by phone. The part that I ordered was delivered to me within a couple of days as promised, but getting through to the company was frustratingly slow. An improved online service would be very welcome

Walked in store close to closing (5 mins) due to traffic, and was greeted by the kid at the counter with waving arms, saying “No way, we’re closed. ” Despite being a couple mins before store hours officially ended. This attitude is killing small businesses. I’ll find my part on Amazon.

Christmas Eve 2018 and I went in for a part for my Samsung stove as it failed and I wasn't able to cook turkey dinner.

So, over to "Reliable Parts" I go and deal with Rick at the parts counter initially who went out of his way to try and find me the part I needed. Because of the way the parts were listed with Samsung the part couldn't be found and I ended up back over the bridge without the piece. Before I left I spoke to John who manages the Dartmouth location and he said he would look into it. I thought that was a nice gesture and I'd probably get the part in the new year if I was lucky.

Within a half an hour John had called me back on my cell phone saying that he had the part after doing some research and found a match. Back over the bridge I went to get the part.

Here's the catch. These guys shut down at 3 p.m. Christmas Eve. John stayed there until 4 in order to find me this part because he knew that I needed it to cook the family turkey dinner.

Now that is customer service in my view! First time I've dealt with these guys and I have to say that their staff is second to none. It is disappointing that we have to get parts for these "disposable appliances" that we buy today but I am glad there is a place like Reliable Parts in Burnside that has staff like Rick and John looking out for us when we need them!

They were under no obligation to do what they did - but did it anyway. Merry Christmas to all of them!

Online service for this company is very poor. They are very rude on the phone. I called with my model number to get a replacement part and spent $20 for two washers that didn't fit. I called to ask why it doesn't fit and was told the part I need is discontinued and that this was a "big you problem", the guys exact words. I then talked to Heather and she was very rude on the phone as well and when I told her I was given her number by a customer service rep she said well I don't know why you are calling me. Overall not impressed with this companies professionalism and customer service.
