I made an appointment for new rear brakes, I asked for all new parts including drums. 5 hours later my car was done, no new drums, I was told new drums can't be found because of a gm strike. So I ordered new drums from Napa and had them the next day. 5 hours to replace rear pads $700 bill. While they had my car they pulled out my cabin air filter and stuffed it back in wrong. So my recirc fresh air button no longer works. When I mentioned this I was told that was impossible. So I pulled out the now damaged air filter and replaced it with a new one myself. Problem solved. They also parked my manual car in neutral without putting on the parking park that they just replaced. Never going back.

This dealership is absolutely the worst I have ever dealt with. I have always been a Chevrolet customer, and the service at this location makes me seriously question my loyalty when I purchase my next vehicle. Numerous service issues over the past years finally led to my switching dealerships in June of 2023. I last serviced my vehicle at MacGillivray in June of 2023 where i did a replacement of rear brakes after i scheduled an appointment because a notification light coming on in my truck. Following this repair, due to a number of issues during this service appointment, I switched to dealing with a dealership further away from me. At my most recent appointment at the new dealership I was informed that I will be needing to replace my rear brakes (pads and rotors). This came as a shock as I had just had this work done in June, and brakes should most certainly last more than 3 months. When i brought my previous service paperwork in, the manager at the new dealership explained to me that while MacGillivray did change my brake pads, they did not change the rotors. Due to a deterioration of the rotors, my new pads were ruined. I was advised that it would be normal for rotors to be checked, and likely replaced, at the same time as the pads. As a consumer I was unaware that rotors should be done at the same time as pads to remove this consequence from occurring. I am now stuck with a bill for rear rotors and pads (again) as I have no choice but to do this repair for safety reasons, properly this time. I would never recommend anyone utilize this dealership for servicing their vehicles. I feel completely taken advantage of having trusted that their mechanics would be doing all of the proper protocols with regards to replacements and repairs.

Always very professional even with some unruly customers, and sometimes I am one. But the staff always have taken care of me through all the years.

Paige MacDonald helped me out with not one but two car purchases in the last 6 months. She was fantastic to deal with and knowledgeable. She kept in touch with me with no pressure to buy. When I had to purchase another car unexpectedly I immediately went back to her based on the service she gave me previously. You couldn’t do better then deal with Paige!
