Rousseau Chocolatier

This place is wonderful and named one of the top chocolatiers in North America for a reason. I've ordered the chocolates and macarons before which were world class and my family and friends said it was the best they ever had. I also was just there Saturday morning and had a PERFECT croissant and French cake. Their americano is very good too

Gorgeous chocolates! We were thrilled to hear that they could ship to the U. S.again. The perfect season for shipping chocolates, too. Ordering online was easy. Everything safely arrived in a neatly packaged box within a week here in the Pacific Northwest.

So many new and long-loved flavors. It was pretty special to taste the marzipan, dark sea salt, vanilla bean, ginger, orangettes, and caramels and remember falling in love with Rousseau Chocolatier for the first time years ago. Perfection, as usual! All the flavors new to us have been so yummy so far - loving the creativity and fresh combinations.

And can we talk about how beautiful they are to look at? Works of art. I stared at that bronze brush stroke on the spiced latte truffle for about a minute, shimmering it in the light before finally setting it in my mouth. Magical. The flavor profile reminded us of Mexican hot chocolate and warmth on snowy nights.

Speaking of the thankful box flavors, they paired incredibly well with an Oregon pinot noir. Loved that. Couldn't have been happier to experience and share those ones with my best friend. The boxes they came in were super cute, too.

Infinite love for Rousseau Chocolatier! Cannot wait to visit in person one day again. The absolute best.

I’ve had my eye on this place since trying an 4pk of their chocolates at Benjamin Bridge this past summer.
A definite stop was on the list when I finally made it downtown again and so glad I did. Amazing quality and staff were great!
Everything I tried, was the best I’ve had! Please go out of your way to go here, you will not be disappointed.

Bought: Chocolates (12pk variety), Macarons (10pk variety) and Americano.

I went yesterday to get some macarons to decorate a cake I was making for my nieces birthday. I showed up 15 minute after they closed as they had changed their hours but they allowed me to come in and make a purchase. Such good customer service and the macarons are beautiful and delicious!

Next in Halifax, we stopped by this cute dessert place! Even though it's a chocolate shop, we got the soft serve. They offer vanilla bean and a daily vegan flavour. When we went it was mango pineapple! You can either get the flavours individually or in a twist. The soft serve is smooth with vibrant flavours and a crunchy waffle cone. It's also worth checking out the other treats they offer, including the macarons and chocolates.

One of our favourite things to do on a Sunday morning, is to drive downtown, park near the Public Gardens and walk to Rousseau Chocolatier’s.
We absolutely love their Pain Au Chocolat. They also have a fantastic selection of coffee delights. The cafe is clean, bright and the staff are wonderful.

Cute little chocolate shop so close to the discovery centre and the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk. Had a mango macaron which was absolutely delicious! Bought a small box of handmade milk chocolate shells to take home for family. I'm sure they'll be devine as well. As we were enjoying our macarons, friendly staff greeted us and shared a sample of their dark chocolate almond bar.which was also scrumptious!

If you're a connaisseur of Quality Chocolate then get your chocolate from Rousseau Chocolatier, if you haven't tried their products then you haven't tasted the BEST chocolate you can find on this side of the Atlantic! If I lived in Halifax the store employees would know my face because I would be in there regularly! They have fair shipping fees and shipping is quick and products are well packaged for shipping.

Ils ont des frais d'expédition équitables et l'expédition est rapide et les produits sont bien emballés pour l'expédition.

This is a professional chocolate shop. The chocolate here is really delicious. I sometimes buy chocolate here. I strongly recommend it to those who like chocolate. But the price is a little high. So I highly recommend it to those who really like chocolate and those who can eat it while controlling themselves. I'm full because I only ate chocolate without eating. I couldn't control myself. I want to give this store 5 stars, but the price is a little high, so I gave this store 4 stars. I have five stars in my heart. I'll try another chocolate next time.

I recommend here vanilla ice cream in the summer. There's a time limit, so you have to go to the store early buy it.

Best coffee, chocolate and pastries in town, besides they will treat your pet really well with a pup cup.

Nice bright space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a swirl ice cream in a bowl with 2 sauces and the final product was delicious. Expensive place but worth the price as an occasional treat.

I cannot begin to do Rousseau's justice by describing their tiny slices of edible heaven in mere words, but I can tell you this;

Wednesday morning was my first bite and I can say with certainty that everyone needs to try Rousseau Chocolatier at least once in their lives (they taste otherworldly, they are that good)!

The amount of love put into this business shows. From the helpful people who work there to the presentation of their decadent little works of art down to the unboxing of our chocolates at home - everything was impeccable.
My husband and kids didn't even meet the bag of Rochers Suisse.

If you are debating about where to go for your next sweet fix - there's no question this place is IT.

Good chocolate, probably the best in town, including a very nicely made salted caramel bar we tried when we got home. In shop, we tried a handful of chocolates, some, like the feuilletine, were excellent, others, like the tarragon, didn’t have discernible flavor/aroma. Coffee was good as well.

Best hot chocolate and croissant I've ever had! Everything in the space is presented beautifully. The staff are super helpful and kind.

I heard about this shop all the way in Toronto, and knew I had to stop in on my trip to Halifax. I was blown away by how delicious the hot chocolate is! It’s truly perfect. I brought some chocolate bars back home for myself and my family to enjoy and they did not last very long.my only regret is not buying more!

There are so many options here! My partner ordered a latte and I had some kind of tea. He liked the latte but I really hated the tea. It had an awful after taste. We ordered a croissant and three chocolates and they were all good. I was thinking about the croissant for days after:) will definitely be back to get another and to try a different drink!

The latte i got was good, it was a vanilla latte and a pistachio macoron. It was very sweet but good. The service was friendly and the cashier had the information that we asked her. It was kinda busy and we sat on the last available. The vibe was nice. It reminded me of the cafes in Montreal during Christmas.
