5 Stars Across the board. Must try the Beachhouse burger. Service was top notch and specifically the help with our wine selection.

I ordered a pepperoni pizza there. The meal wasn't bad, but the server was annoying, coming to us every five minutes and not letting us have a conversation. It seemed like she was trying to finish her shift and waiting for us to leave. It's better for the restaurant to address its servers' behavior with customers. People pay to be treated well and spend a nice time, not to struggle with the server.

Don't do brunch here if you're lactose intolerant. There is basically 0 things on the menu you can eat and 0 substitutions. My partner and I attempted to order the french toast. The waitress said she would go check to see if it could be made without milk (we both are lactose intolerant).

She came back a few mins later and told him that they couldn't do it without milk because the french toast comes prepackaged with the mix on it.lol? Prepackged french toast. I guess they didn't have any spare eggs or bread on hand? I ordered the overnight oats which says it has: chia seeds, maple syrup and mixed berries. I started eating it and I could 100% taste milk so I'm wondering why it wasn't listed on the ingredients?

My partner ended up ordering avocado toast but it came with butter on it. After stating to the waitress that he's lactose intolerant.

On top of that all, we didn't get napkins, I didn't get a spoon for my overnight milky oats (ate the berries with a fork) and my partner had to go grab salt, pepper and ketchup from another table.

Nice atmosphere though.

A bit tricky to find this spot, but once you know, you know. Great views, warm service, and an efficient but delectable menu. Check out the other businesses in the area and you can easily make a day of it!

The pizza is absolutely incredible. The fior di latte is super fresh and the ingredients are great quality. The ancient grain salad far surpassed my expectations; it has super cool plating and such cool flavours. The poke bowl and the apps were alright; they're dishes any other restaurant could make the exact same, very lackluster. The service wasn't very personal; I have no idea who our servers were because they never introduced themselves and weren't very personable or warm. Would probably go back. Might recommend. It felt like a fancy airport restaurant.

Had a great dinner on the patio. Great happy hour and atmosphere. The food was delicious and it’s a great fun place to come with friends for a night out. Service and food is very fast. We got the scallops and the kale salad.

Decided to check out their brunch menu as everyone has been raving about them, and it did not disappoint!

Just stopped in a few cocktails and appetizers at the bar. Amazing atmosphere. Smells great with the wood stove and pizza oven. Staff are busy but chatty and fun. Jalapeno corn bread is killer. Will definitely do it again.

Cool spot, fun atmosphere and great food/drinks, but what’s with the server aprons? It’s a chop for me!

Nice place. Friendly Service. We had some Charcoal-Roasted Veggies to start. Great dish, but very little sauce, we had to order extra sauce on site.then we had the scallops it was good, nice combination with the grapes. However the plate was cold and after the second scallop the rest was cold. The squid and pepperoni skewers was interesting to try. As a Swiss Chef, I have to say it's not working together in harmony and again the plate was cold so the dish did cool down very quickly.

The ambiance and view of the restaurant is good. The food is beautiful and appetizing, but tastes okay. One piece of my chicken was almost raw close to the bones.

Thought the fried chicken will be a flavorful fusion dish，but the reality is oven reheated dry chicken.

Cozy place, music is too loud.

Fabulous eatery! Food was delicious, service top notch and the ambience was great. It's been fabulously decorated too.

First time dining here. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing. Bathrooms are individuals which I liked and they were clean and cute. The servers are all wearing earth tones which were classy, and it was nice to see all the cooks in chef jackets. I tried the crystal crescent cocktail (highly recommend) and my partner had a margarita which he loved. They have fancy ice cubes which was a nice touch. We both got the steak for dinner, and I subbed my fries for a kale caeser salad (huge regret, the fries were so good) The steak was underwhelming in size and desperately needed some sort of sauce to accompany it for its 30$ price tag. It was however cooked to a perfect medium. The fries my partner ordered came with a dip that was delicious, and the fries were crispy. Other people at our table tried the tater totchos and said they were great. Would love to come back and try their shareable plates or some appetizers.

Went for a late supper. Food was amazing, the atmosphere was outstanding, and the smell of the wood fire made Salt and Ash feel like home. I will be back again!

Visited April 16,2023 for dinner as a group of six. We were running late and tried to call the restaurant but had to leave a message. They were very gracious with us being late. The service though was so rushed. The timing between the appetizers, main, and dessert was bang-bang+bang. No time to relook at the bar menu to decide our next drink. My blazing brussel sprouts were extremely lackluster. The only crispy parts were the leaves that fell off in the process of cooking. The brussel sprouts overall were just not crispy enough. The sauce was good that accompanied them. The babe burger was promising but another downfall. The burger was quite dry. The little jalapeno aioli that was on it was so over powering, you couldn't taste the other components. The beef patty was very dry. The French fries were the saving grace of the plate. The 12 layer chocolate cake was good. The espresso crumble was very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely. It's a beautiful space. I just think the ash components of their dishes are lackluster.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Great food, exceptional service. I will be going back every chance I get.

I grabbed dinner here with some friends. The decor is beautiful and drinks were great! What left a bad taste in my mouth was watching the manager treat her staff badly right in front of my table. Her rude tone and eye rolls were witnessed by all and definitely should have been kept to herself.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. My cod was to die for, and our waiter was delightful.

Second time was so much better than the first. Recommend dishes:
- buffalo clams and squid (pictured)
- hot cheese dip with veggies and bread
- daily pizza special (pictured, Reuben was that day’s offering)
- coconut cream pie (you won’t want to share)

I would skip the mushroom toast (pretty presentation, taste lacking) and scallop appetizers (value wasn’t there).

Wonderful experience and amazing food! Beautiful fireplace and great service. I would highly recommend the salt and ash beer from Stellarton. Highly recommend this spot for drinks and appetizers.

This place is wonderful! The service was great, the high energy place busy on a work night! Music is just a bit too loud but atmosphere was lovely! Can wait to go again!

I typically like to go to a place a couple times before a review so I may edit this one eventually as I do plan to return.
Ambience was excellent. Amazing job creating this space.
The Jalapeño Cornbread with Tequila lime butter is a high recommendation. It was amazing.
The spicy chicken pcs appetizer had some heat. They were pretty good. Not as spicy as expected.
The pizza is the star of the night. I chose the clam and sausage white pizza. The crust was charred but has a great chew. Flavours were very good.
The bad for the jiggly was the Fish n Chips. The fish was a twice frozen portion cut in China. It had a smell from being old. Batter was done well

I was disappointed to see Jim Bean as the choice for bourbon bar shots. I asked for Makers but had to pay significantly more.

Will definitely go back for pizza and cocktails.

Great food, service and decor. It was quite loud so not tecommended for a quiet date night.

Had such an amazing experience at Salt and Ash this past Sunday. The service, drinks and food was all spectacular and Jess the manager was so attentive, her and her staff really made the night:)
