Scanway Catering

I ordered a Scanway two-person picnic to celebrate a dear friend's birthday. From the presentation, packed beautifully in a big white box, to all the courses and garnishes, it was perfect. We had the version with the poached salmon. The portions were very generous and every bite was delicious. We were blessed with a beautiful day and found a picnic table with a stunning view. I was very happy with my choice. They will even pack the meal in a real picnic basket if you don't need to use a cooler during transportation. We heartily recommend a Scanway picnic as a way to give someone a special treat.

Scanway Catering supplied our wedding dessert bar with various types of mini bites, such as cupcakes, fruit tarts, macarons, etc. Their catering menu is extensive with many good options. Melisa, the Event Catering Manager, was very helpful when organising all of this over email. Guests commented on how delicious the dessert was!

Scanway Catering TRULY outdid themselves for our New Year's Eve wedding reception at Citadel Hill! The number one compliment we received was on our food. It was APLENTY! We had canapés as well as reception stations and not one person left hungry. Our DJ said it best - I've been to a lot of weddings, and most either have food that looks beautiful or tastes delicious, but not both, and yours was both. When we walked into the room and saw the displayed food our jaws fell to the floor. It was stunningly set up, and just so delicious. Scanway also created two croquembouche for our dessert table which looked so elegant. Also, during the planning process, Raj helped us to plan the menu and order the correct amount of food for the guests and style we chose. Thank you to Raj and your team for making our wedding reception so perfect. PLEASE choose Scanway for your next event, they do not disappoint!

Tremendous food with intricate and delicate preparation. Staff are tremendously friendly. Would recommend 10/10.

Came late, guest were arriving while they were setting up. Food was good, but not outstanding, but that’s minor for sure. The worse issue I had with them was that we ran out of bacon and scallops and they had a pan full that they didn’t cook and were taking away with them and actually were taking much of the uneaten food. Until I spoke up and asked if they would be discounting it off the bill they said no we will just throw it out. Now why would you not have said, there is a lot of food left, what would you like us to do with it? We had to scrabble to get all the uneaten food from their dishes to our own. Even the guests had to help.

Scanway has been a great catering company to deal with. They went above and beyond to make sure our event was a success. The staff that helped organize our event were very professional and helpful with recommending menu items. The presentation was top notch. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

A friend suggested we try Scanway during the Covid19 pandemic and we were not disappointed with the meals.delicious. The presentation of the meal was great and so very easy to prepare. Just pop in the oven, uncork the wine and enjoy. We will definitely order again.

The food we recived while in quarantine was sub standard (see attached pictures.) I see some great photos of food here but we were served none of it.

Our potato's were stale, the breakfast had undercooked bacon, insects were found in some meals large quantities of oil were used, all food was batch type which can be made in a single pot, burgers were previously frozen and highly fatty, and some food was not segregated properly and turned into mush. I did enjoy the meatloaf as well as the burger toppings, chick pea salad and the make your own fajitas.

Since the pandemic started in March of 2020, I immediately starting to use Scanway. Their meals are absolutely delicious, affordable and so well presented, and the ordering and delivery was top notch. Their website is easy to maneuver and the pictures of their meals both on Facebook and Instagram are a true reflection of what you get. Their special menus for Easter and Mother’s Day were excellent. I have referred them to many friends and they too have enjoyed all their meals. I have and will be ordering regularly as I have so enjoyed every meal. Desserts are to die for.

I have ordered 4 different meals from Pantry By Scanway. They have all been delicious! From the online ordering, on time delivery, great packaging, beautiful presentation, large portions, delicious food.everything was perfect! Prices are very reasonable as well.

I ate scanway food every meal for a 2 week period at the Marriott Courtyard in Dartmouth for a work quarantine. The food was shocking. The same freezer burnt vegetables with every meal, tough cooked to death meat, and some kind of potato/rice/pasta. The portions were tiny, 1/2 cup veg, a couple tablespoons of mashed potato or 3 potato wedges (for an adult), and maybe 2oz of meat. This food will leave you disappointed and hungry, we spent our own money to order in instead of eating the meals that scanway provided (not cheap to order in every meal either!). Occasionally there would be a pasta dish, but it was always dripping in grease, you could cook a whole separate meal with the grease drained from one scanway portion. Unless you want to be served inedible food and left hungry, hire literally anyone else. 0/10, would not recommend.

Quite poor quality. I am only commenting on the food quality. I'm sure they are doing their best within their contract but the food is typically soggy and/or extremely salty.

Definitely not recommended. Consistently substandard. Over a two week period of eating the food at the Marriott hotel Dartmouth crossing while isolating to go to work. I suggest packing a lunch instead of eating there food. There is a picture of bugs in salad that I would put on here if I could. Very disappointed

Ordered from the Pantry by Scanway option, everything was excellent. I had the butter chicken, stuffed-chicken salmon duo, and the carrot cake. All choices were phenomenal, chicken was super tender, salmon was cooked to perfection, great portions. John my delivery driver was very kind and explained the heating instructions throughly. You will definitely see me ordering again this week!
