Seamus David's Irish Pub

Ordered soup & sandwich. When asked I told the wait staff the grilled cheese sandwich had a funny taste. They offered to make another but I declined & ate the soup. I was surprised that I was charged the full price for the meal. Soup, split pea & ham, was good but pricey at $17 for 3/4 of a bowl.

Smoked meat sandwich tasted like chemicals and wasn’t edible. Tasted like it was sprayed with an aerosol can. Disgusting

Absolutely terrible quality food

Ordered the lamb burger, pretty sure it was beef. Whatever it was they fed me it was obviously frozen and you get better quality at A&W, outrageous they’re charging $20+

My girlfriend ordered the fish taco/wrap it smelled and tasted off, was just as miserable as my mystery meat burger

The only part of our meal we enjoyed was the side salads

The server was really nice and friendly. We complained about our meals and only got $7 taken off a $70 - $80 meal. I’d like to give the service a better rating not the waitresses fault but we were extremely unsatisfied with our meal and feel the establishment should have done more than a $7 discount considering how poor the meal quality was

Atmosphere is nice and the drinks were good, I’d go back for drinks but will never eat here again

My first stop when I get off the boat after a 28 day hitch. Best wings in the city. We live in Lunenburg (1 hour drive), and we stop whenever we're in the area. Great service, friendly staff, the manager Becky is a gem, and the wings are the bomb dot com. Highly recommend

Food was pretty good, service was okay until I saw what looked like someone from management yelling at her employee. Very disheartening to see that’s how employees are treated here.

Eat here for first time with my wife, I had Shepard pie, wife had fried fish with scallops and salad. Food was great, waiter was great, good selection of beers, great pub atmosphere. Will be coming bacl

Solid average pub food with decent service! Nothing amazing but better than most options in the Crossing.

Had the bacon wrapped steak, tasted burnt but was cooked ok, baked potato was way over cooked should have never made it to my table, young wator was polite

Had fish and chips.they were ok but, people like condiments with there meal. Some would like tarter sauce and some ketchup.instead of being cheap and give a table spoon in a cup, why can they put a bottle on the table?

We typically enjoy this restaurant. The last few times haven’t been great. The service is fine nothing exceptional, however the food we’ve noticed is more expensive (much anticipated), but the portions are small. Very small. The description in the menu does not match what you receive. Hot sandwich of the day served with potato and a vegetable. There were 19 small peas on the gravy and our bread was missing the crust? Overall a disappointing experience

I have never had a bad experience or meal there staff are friendly and food is always cooked right.keep up the good work. I’ve been coming here for ten years and enjoyed every time.

A nice variety on the menu. Food seems rather tasty. Lots of good seating options. Very friendly and personable staff. Great neighborhood haunt or somewhere to go after work. Looking forward to my next visit.

Mediocre menu and food quality. Over priced for what you get. It’s clean and decent location but it’s small and nothing to write home about.

Went there and found the atmosphere to be fantastic and very friendly and informative staff and great food and drink. If you have not tried it there then you are in for a treat.

Had to go two times in just 1 week, absolutely loved the food. Quiet, out of the way place which is nice. Prices and selection very reasonable, and of course tasty selection of beer. Definitely will be back often.

Eat here during dinner and nice restaurant but the food was poor. The food felt like eating at fast food restaurant. The quality of food was poor and bad. Not recommended at all

This is truly an Irish pub, great Irish fare and the food is awesome. The wait staff are some of the friendliest if met. A definite “ do not miss” if your in Dartmouth

I ordered clams today, I thought I had received a half order by mistake. Do not waste your money. There are many other places that will actually give you a full order of clams. It may have been ten clams at the most and apparently was a full order. Plus they were over cooked. The waitress was mad because I was not pleased. When my friend pointed out that she made a mistake and put my pop on her bill. She became very rude and indifferent towards us. To charge 24 dollars for a very small serving of clams with a salad was disgusting. John’s lunch will give a much bigger serving size. It will cost a bit more but at least you walk away full.

Great food amazing staff and relaxed atmosphere. Took me back to my grandmothers authentic British pub. Seamus’s nailed the vibe

My experience was mediocre at best. I don't drink and when I asked the waitress for a water her demeanor completely changed and was unfriendly to me for the rest of the night. The Burger I ordered was very dry and tasteless but the sweet potato fries were fantastic.

Had a wonderful lunch with my sister. Our server Becky was amazing, and both our fish dishes were delicious. The lemon haddock was so savoury and the battered fish was light and crispy. Highly recommend

Very nice place staff very friendly.but our food was real greasy and the wings were over cooked.will go back though to try other things on the menu

Very good service. The food was tasty reasonably priced and delivered promptly. A decent selection of beer on tap that was cold and refreshing.

Located at one end of the Dartmouth Crossing loop, there is lots of free parking across the street. You enter a nice wood accented pub with main and overflow rooms. A nice selection of 3rd party craft brews, good menu choices and our selections were tasty. Pricing was reasonable but not cheap, as expected.

Very enjoyable experience, went with work group early in the morning. At 12pm they were almost full. Great atmosphere, nice drinks, nice food. I tried their beet salad, and wanted more beets and goat cheese rather than feta.

The staff was incredibly friendly. I did not care for my meal, but that was a personal preference, someone else may have loved it. I did find their prices to be high compared to other pubs.

Nice atmosphere but please don't seat a party ofvtwo beside and group of twelve!
Oh, and the price of draft beer there is outrageous.

A friend recommended we do lunch here. Wow. I had a bacon-wrapped steak and a couple shrimp skewers. The shrimp were pretty good, but the steak was probably the tastiest I've eaten from a restaurant.
The service was phenomenal also.
We went for when it opened, at 1130hrs, and glad we did as it filled up quickly.
Just a wonderful place.

Great staff. I have become a regular there. The staff get to know you and the food is awesome. My go-to meal spicy fish taco, the best.

Tara (assuming thats how you spell her name) is the best waitress/bartender I have ever met. She is an absolute sweet heart, and is the soul reason seamus davids has become my favourite spot to go to relax and have a moment to enjoy myself. The other girls there are very nice as well but Tara is a different level of customer service.

This place was recommended by pub owner in New Glasgow. I love pubs and was really looking forward to this place.
Nice pub warm atmosphere.there were 4 of us.
Beer and wine selection was decent.
Two ordered the steak sandwich which was absolutely tasteless and I ordered med rare and got well done.
Bangers and mash is not just Sausage and mashed potato.where’s the onion gravy?
Liver and onions smothered in cheap instant beef gravy.
Only dessert left was sticky toffee pudding which normally is my favourite.
It was covered with some kind of cream cheese and then the toffee sauce, I think.
We all agreed.another failure
I am giving one star for the only bright side of the evening and that is the server Brooklyn who was pleasant and very attentive.
I travel for work and eat out approximately 4 nights a week

First time there Loved the atmosphere! Had the lunch special, really enjoyed the tuna melt. Staff were polite. Diligent about checking immunization passports. Reasonable price for lunch in the "city"

Seamus David's Irish Pub seems to be a pretty popular place! We were seated fairly quickly and our waitress was quick to bring a menu and ask what we would like to drink. My husband ordered the club and I got the Seamus Burger.

Food came fairly quickly and the presentation was lovely! Everything was hot and freshly made.

The fries were absolutely delicious - I would go here again just to eat them! The burger is an 8oz patty and is super juicy. However that's where the enjoyable part of our meal ends.

The burger was underseasoned and very plain tasting. Nothing jumped out to me in terms of flavour from the burger patty itself, other than the salty flavour of the meat. The bun was a standard burger bun, topped with a dill pickle slice, lettuce, tomato, cheese and mushrooms. It looks delicious and while it wasn't bad tasting, it definitely left me disappointed and wanting something better.

The burger comes with a mustard and relish package on the side, and a paper cup of ketchup from your fries which you can also put on the burger.

For the price of the burger ($15) I would have expected a more flavourful, seasoned patty, being asked what I'd like on the burger and for the underside of the bun to be toasted.

The waitress did not check on us during our time there, other than to quickly top up our coffees (without asking or saying anything). When my husband was finishing the last bite of my burger (still had some fries on my plate) she came by and asked if she could take the plates away and bring our bill. We felt rushed and had considered ordering dessert bit were not asked if we would be having anything else, only "can I take your plates, and will that be one bill? "

Overall, very disappointed with the service and food.

Great spot with good food. Spent a couple hours on the patio with a couple pints and some wings. Would totally recommend for sure. Cool spot close to everything. Check it out!

I worked for a local distributor, and part of my job was to take customers out for lunch. You would have thought Seamus David's was the only place to eat in Dartmouth. Each time we went here to eat. I completely understand why. The food is delicious and consistent each and every time. I get the exact same experience every time I go. Lately it's been a few months in between my visits, but I experience the same level of service each time. It is a great place to eat, and the pricing is very reasonable. I highly recommend this place!

Had supper at Seamus David tonight. Usually we both get shepherds pie cause it's the best we've had in a restaurant. Decided to go in a different direction tonight. My husband had a one piece fish and chips and I got the wing special and a garden salad. My husband doesn't compliment food unless it's really good, he says if he ate it it's good. He took one bite of the fish and said this is good fish. An awesome meal and awesome service. Elsa is a sweetie. Keep up the good work

Great food, great beer and great service! Enjoyed the spot for a quick bite to eat after checking out a few shops and will be sure to be back the next time I'm in the area!

I like coming here. I will be back. I had wings this time. They were good, but for some reason I don't enjoy breaded wings as much as I do wings without breading. I'm also concerned about eating out at any restaurant these days because of the cheap cooking oils that are used and are known to cause oxidative stress. And kill you ultimately. So staying home and using animal fats and coconut oil is what I prefer. Also most salad dressing has the bad oils too. Oh well. Read Deep Nutrition by Cate Shanahan for more information. And many videos on YouTube will explain too, hopefully they will not be censored.

Almost drove away as the place looked closed.
Until my wife said she just saw 2 people coming out.
So we parked up and went in, although they have a quite comprehensive menu, we ordered 2 of the specials.
Butter chicken with rice and Chipotle pork chops with veg
They were both 5 star dishes.
We will be back
Side note for the owner, a Open sign would probably be a good thing.

Food and service was mediocre.the last few times here have been disappointing. I wouldnt go back. Lots of other spots to choose from in the area.

Nice Irish pub. Friendly with good service, with decent food. Had the fish and chips. Possibly the list of beers on tap could be a little more extensive.

You know you're in for a poor meal when they bring out Kraft tartar sauce for your fish and chips. Or how about your food being served on a cheap metal tray with a plastic "newspaper" on it. Of the two meals served, the haddock was dry and the burger was a thick honk of unseasoned meat, the fries were cold and the whole atmosphere was not a pub. It was one of those cheap kitschy places that pretend to be a pub. Would not recommend.

The service was great and our waitress was very friendly. The food wasn't as good as last time I was there about 6 months ago. The beer battered haddock tasted good but was very greasy and the fries are cooked from frozen and were soggy. Maybe just an off day for them.

I had the Mighty Seamus burger and it was juicy and nicely done. A lot of fries on the side, I couldn't finish it all.

We also had nachoes and fried pepperoni. All very yummy! Try it, it's worth it.

We ordered drinks right away and took one sip of a drink and it tasted off.the waitress gave us a hard time for asking for a new drink, told us she won’t be taking it off the bill, then said she would talk to the bartender.we asked for the exact same one, not a new one. She finally brought a new one which also tasted the same. We ordered fish and chips and it was mediocre. The music was too low to hear. Our first and only experience. Too bad, bc We had heard great things.

Service wasn’t great; the server was abrupt and even after asking didn’t go through all of the daily specials. Not at all kid friendly. Food was average.

They're back and their kitchen is still great. Steak and eggs brunch and my wife had the fish cakes. All was cooked to perfection and really good. Welcome back!

A great little Pub in the Dartmouth Crossing for when you are in the area shopping. The food is good and the beer is cold. The service is really good and friendly.

Went for dinner at six pm, walk in and the waitress rudely says we closed at six, no hours on the door, website says 8pm, about 10 people came in behind us and had to leave as well.anyway to lose business!

Everything about our experience was mediocre. The service, the main dish, and the dessert were all just fine but not exceptional. Prices were a bit high, especially for beer. The dessert also tasted freezer burnt. Overall, I don't think we'll make an effort to go back.

Slow service, food is usually reliable. You need to ask for water here.as soon as you finish speaking or break eye contact with the server they leave your table as fast as they can, sometimes you are not finished ordering.also run out of blueberry pancakes Saturday morning upon opening at times? How can you run out when you are opening? Its pancakes and its Saturday!

Great pup option in Dartmouth crossing. Bar is an open concept while the dining room can offer a more intimate experience. Nice to have something in the park that isnt a huge chain restaurant. Not overly priced, but also not cheap, they menu has great selection of traditional pub meals in addition to some more unique creations.definitely should be able to find something for everyone!

Really poor service, and disappointing food. Served by two waitresses who seemed to be inconvenienced by us. Had to grab our own utensils in order to eat. Disgusted by the "nuts" and "no nuts" signs for the bathroom. Definitely would not recommend, or return.

Very quick service. The food was great, the best house salad I've ever been served. The staff were friendly. All this made for a quick, enjoyable meal.

The atmosphere in the pub is always great. Their Shepard's pie combo with Caesar salad is my favourite dish so far. Wings on half price if you go on Wednesday and Thursday, which have fairly good selections. Servers are very attentive and the order arrives within 10 mins.

They have expanded since my last visit and super busy with live band. Great time! However had a couple DD's there tonight looking for coffee but were told the coffee machine shuts down and 9: 30 pm.maybe invest in a Keurig to keep the peace.

Service was slow and the food was typical pub fare. Asked for a spicy ceaser and it was so spicy we couldn't drink it. The bartender should've made it less spicy and if we wanted it a little more spicy they could've added the extra tobassco after the fact. Lesson learned!

Some of the staff should not be working with the public. Not being served while others who came after us were. An older waitress basically dropped our food on the table and walked away never returned to see if everything was ok. The fish and chips were so greasy. Prices are too high for the mediocre food. Service is very slow.

We popped by for a beer. We didn't order food.
The price was a bit outrageous in my mind.
Two local draft beer came to a little over $20 after tax and tip.
I guess I should have asked how much they were before ordering.

Excellent atmosphere! Very welcoming once you walk through the door. If Norm Peterson lived in NS he would come to this bar. 5 stars as the single stall in the washroom was large enough to accommodate my friends P’s walker. Disney should sue them for infringement because the beer being as cold as Elsa’s touch. Only down side was my friend said the meatballs didn’t taste like nonna’s. Highly recommend if you want to bring your kids to a bar.
