Seaside Cottages at Ginger Hill

We had a fantastic time during our two night stay. The hosts, Sheila and Jeff, were very helpful and kind. They struck the perfect balance between being available if needed but also giving us privacy to completely unwind and relax. They set up a lovely beach bonfire for us which included the wood (with a firepit which was dug for us) as well as chairs and roasting sticks. Our kids had a blast and enjoyed the lawn games and we enjoyed the early morning and evening walks on the beach with the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The cottages are very well appointed, clean, and comfortable. We hope to be back. Thanks, Sheila and Jeff!

Perfect beachfront quiet location. Can walk the beach to town for site seeing, coffee, snacks, shops, NSLC, etc. This is a perfect place to stay to get away from it all. Cottage is very clean, beds and linens are top notch. Stayed 5 days for my birthday. Was there for the first blizzard of the season…. To 3 days later sitting on the beach on our chairs barefoot sipping drinks! The hosts Sheila & Jeff are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place for year round getaways. Will be back soon!

A New Years getaway that surpassed all our expectations. From the lovely, well equipped cottage to the spectacular beach at our doorstep, to the quaint little town of Lockeport; we enjoyed every minute of our stay! As well, Sheila and Jeff are great hosts… can’t wait to go back!

The cottages really are exceptional. Their location on Crescent Beach was perfect for the seaside vacation I was craving. The cottages are super clean and well appointed. Hope to have the opportunity to stay again.

It is the most wonderful place. The cottage is on one of the best beaches in Nova Scotia. And the cottage is fully equipped. All you need is food. The hosts even brought us wood for a fire on the beach.

Breathtaking view, peaceful surroundings and good old fashioned hospitality! Loved the hiking trails! We got up early to catch the sunrise and had the added bonus of watching porpoises and a seal. We cannot wait to return.

The cottage was immaculate with all necessary kitchen necessities provided. Great beds, linens, duvets and throws! Especially appreciated the owner's offer a drive into town for what had been misplaced personal pharmaceutical items. Thank you kindly!

These cottages are lovely and just steps from your cottage to beautiful sandy beach. The only unfortunate part is the water is extremely cold even in the summer. But incredible spot to have bonfires on the beach and listen to the sounds of the ocean and crackling of the fire.

Excellent mini vacation by the ocean.a great stay! Comfy bed and everything you need for your stay is provided. Cannot complain about anything and only comment I would make was the windows could have been cleaned prior to our arrival but were not super dirty just you want a crystal clear view of the beach and ocean when you are that close to it. Also the smell of incoming tides was not too nice at times but nothing that can be controlled by anyone but Mother Nature. This did not affect our stay in any way.

Beautiful & peaceful. From the minute we stepped out of the car we fell in love with this place. The sound of the waves were amazing, especially at night. Clean and cozy and the owners are friendly and welcoming!

Honestly amazing! The best place I have been yet in NS! Great people in a great town with one heck of a beautiful location all well having Erin and David keeping it up to snuff!
