The older lady with grey hair. A NIGHTMARE! She likes to make assumptions and is incredibly rude to customers. I will go as far to say that she even likes to wait around to INTIMIDATE individuals. Staff on the phone will tell you one thing while staff on site another. 3 customers complained about being unable to open doors.

If you want a high -end perfect place to stay, this is probably not the place to stay, BUT, although it was just a regular room - it was very clean and the staff there were the best. I know where I am staying on my next trip to Halifax

Awful. Our ‘NO SMOKING’ room stinks of cigarette smoke (Really? In 2022?)
Even operating the TV is convoluted. You need a degree in engineering to figure out how to get the satellite box working. You really can’t make it easy to turn on the TV and watch it?
Room feels dirty.
I will never stay here again and would only recommend it to my enemies…

Room was nice and clean not like I read about being bad. Road construction was going on all night so kept waking up. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Hwy to airport was right there, about 25 minutes drive away. Stayed in room 406.

Weirdest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Rooms visibly dirty and very small. Can see they tried to throw some lipstick on the place but it didn’t hide much. Check in guy didn’t mention breakfast or check out times at all and at times there was no staff even around time ask questions to. Was going to check out right after I checked in, because I was not happy with the room, but they wouldn’t cancel my reservation. Extremely overpriced for what you get. Zero counter space in bathroom I had to leave my toothbrush and other toiletries in my bag. No stopper for bathtub, poor lighting, full size closet that takes up space but only had 4 little hangers in it. Not even a coffee maker or a cup in the room. Nobody came to clean in the 4 days I was there, no clean towels etc. I do not recommend.

You know that eerie feeling you had when you first watch a horror film when you were a kid? That’s exactly how I felt when I walk into the room. Extremely dated, shady and not welcoming at all. Felt I was in a time warp back to the 1970’s. Didn’t feel safe at all. After one minute I walked out and left. Asked for refund at front desk but didn’t get it. Drove to another hotel in town.

I’m extremely unimpressed with this hotel. I had to leave due to a family emergency and I wasn’t even in the hotel more then an hour and a half and they completely refused to even give me a PARTIAL refund. I DO NOT recommend staying here. Also, the hotel lookings nothing like the photos, so don’t be fooled!

This hotel isn’t worth the money. Didn’t even have cups or even a proper tv stand. There’s no desk and no luggage stand either and we are right beside the highway I would only put this as a 100$ a night hotel instead of 350$ what a waste of money

Disgusting. Got to the room and it smelled like smelly feet. It was right next to the highway and all through the night it was nothing but police and ambulance sirens. The room had a key to unlock the door and once inside, there was no security lock to insure no one could get in. You could open the door with a credit card if you wanted to
I had to wedge a chair against the door to even think about getting any sleep. Note: picture of chair is attached. Look at the quality of the ratty worn cushion. There was an active water leak on the ceiling.the wifi doesn't accommodate streaming. Hair in the tub. Microwave and refrigerator were stacked in the corner with wires strewn across the floor. Buyer beware.

They have tv on a coffee table. Colour on walls getting off from the washroom. Extension cord all over the room. Not recommend

I stayed here for a weekend and will not stay here again. I chose this hotel because it was close to a meeting I had in halifax, not realizing there is nothing else around. The wifi is terrible at the best of times and for the most part just didn’t work. On my last night I found a mouse in my room, which was alarming to say the least. Otherwise, the room was clean and the staff was nice. Although, I would not recommend others stay here.

The room was fine, the people at the front desk were rude and not helpful at all. They kept my damage deposit without telling me and I have been unable to speak with the manager about it.

Worst place whole room was full of dust no water dirty bedsheets and front desk guy left the counter in between while we’re talking to him unprofessional staff just never go there room stinks

Mice Traps and Mice. Please don’t book through Agoda. Agoda is the worst, days messaging and still no refund. There was 2 mice traps in our room. Than while sitting in the chair a mouse came from under the bed. There was mouse droppings in the room beside the dresser. Went and spoke to the owner and he said he would refund. All I needed to do was call Agoda the booking site and he would tell them to issue a refund. LIES! We left the hotel and did not stay. We were on the 3rd floor. PEOPLE please read the reviews for yourself. There are sticky traps on the floor behind the check in deck.could be a nice hotel but the owners refuse to refund knowing they have a huge Mice problems.

Don’t waste your time and money unless you don’t mind sleeping with mice roaming throughout your room.

Unless the alternative is sleeping out of doors in a hurricane, avoid at all costs.

There was no maid service, no hot water and no high speed internet. There wasn't even carpet on the floors.

Very dirty, mouse traps on the floor of the first room, no deadbolt on the door at ground level that opens outside, no locks on the windows.

It was dirty, no toilet paper, the sheet were not clean. No breakfast in the morning like the description was saying. Nobody at the front desk. Really not impress

Possibly the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. The front desk attendant was unacceptably rude. Any questions I asked he acted like he did not understand and thus I got no answer. The worst part was found in my room, though: a large glue trap for rats with a giant scoop of peanut butter on it. It was left on the floor in the open, unsure what it was I got my hand stuck on it. Again, the front desk attendant acted like he had no idea what I was referring to. If you need to put these traps out, maybe remove them from the rooms before a guest checks in. Would I need to deal with it in the night should a rat get caught?

I also had a $200 hold put on my credit card for incidentals upon check-in, which is normal. However, three days later that has not been taken off - which is off putting.

All in all, the experience made this stay not worth saving a few bucks. Spend more to stay somewhere run competently.

You got what you paid for.
Price is more affordable compared to other places in Halifax, but in return, the experience would not meet expectations.
Bathroom is old and molded.
Advertised as “free breakfast” but it turned out to be “breakfast free”.
Reception only work from 12-7pm.
Water-leaking fridge and the only way to stop it is to turn the firdge to the coldest modeand freeze everything inside.
Last but not least, how could they place a mousetrap in the room. We traveled with our kid and did all the way to keep her from getting hurt by the trap

We stayed here years ago and I gave them a great rating, not this time, the room is not being well maintained, no continental breakfast, the dead bold on the door was broken the place is missing regular maintenance. We will not stay there again.

What a horrible experience I'd there, and how unprofessional the staff dealt with such disgusting situation. All what they've offered is traps to set in the room, with no refund or changing the room.

Booked a room by mistake through an app. Attempted to cancel it in less than 5 minutes. There was 0 refund policy and when I contacted the hotel it was a flat no.

Zero customer service and zero reasonability.

This is the last money they or booking.com will get from myself or my partner. Do not book here. Hearthstone Inn in Dartmouth is superior in every way and just as inexpensive

BED BUGS!

Got into bed in August 13 2021 after about 10mins got up and found bedbugs in room 110 in BOTH BEDS. We were given no refund. Be VERY careful staying there. They knew they had bedbugs

Room was clean but man at reception ignored me when i came to the office at 11pm. I had to go back to my room and call the desk to get his attention.

The bed was comfortable, and overall the place was fine. It was clean and the staff was friendly. But the shower was lacking, no coffee maker in the room, half the light plugs didn't work, and the tv was too low to be seen from the bed. But if you need a decent place close to the 102 then it is a good option for you, especially for the price.

I am one of the unlucky travellers that was to land in Halifax N. S.on the 7th of September but because of Hurricane my wife and I decided to cancel flight and move it to the 14th.
WestJet was ok with the switch, my car rental was ok with it, but this hotel charged us for the cancellation because we never gave them 72 hours notice.
Even tho we had booked the first night in Halifax and our last night at this place and were going to book 2 dates the following week they still charged us.
We cancelled our stay and booked other accommodations.
Bad Business!
They didn’t care that we cancelled with them at a future date.

The room was clean the wifi was not great.
Close to the highway making it easy to get to the airport. Just check in when it's time to rest, don't expect more out of this place.

The booking policy states 72 hours to change or cancel. They will take bookings within this time and tell you, after they have your credit card, no changes. I have lived in Halifax for years and the location is by the major highway on ramp, there is a history fof this place too.

A horrible experience from beginning to end. It’s right by a highway and an on ramp so the noise is just ridiculous from day to night (as well as all night). Horns, sirens, screeching tires, and general traffic noise.

The wifi was horrible, it was off more than it was on. We had to call the front desk several times to tell them about the wifi- sometimes they reset it, sometimes they never.

We also saw several bugs- my mom had a spider in her bed and there were yellow jackets in the stairwell.

The continental breakfast was horrible- green bananas, Dad’s brand pre-packaged cookies, and stale cereal.

It was WAY too hot and we couldn’t control the temperature. There was an air conditioner but it’s very old and loud. It was also 2 feet away from my face when I was on the bed so the blowing air was too strong and loud- we’d never have been able to keep it on throughout the night when we slept, so we slept in 25 degrees plus every night.

Our door was a repurposed one, it looked horrible but more importantly we felt very unsafe. There was no latch or dead bolt, just the flimsy doorknob. If someone were to try to burst in they likely could have.

We were very disappointed from beginning to end and we will definitely not be back.

Good and affordable place to stay during the holidays.rooms weren't exactly feature packed but it was well worth the price.

Clean updated rooms. Very friendly young men at reception desk, very helpful to guide us through some questions. Since I wasn't feeling well I was so thankful we got an early check-in. The continental breakfast was one of the better ones we had. Croissants and egg bakes were part of it. Very nice!

If you are here in Halifax only for sightseeing and/or you want try some new, example restaurants and bars for breakfast or lunch then is that a good place to stay. But if you are here for business trip and you are full booked with meetings and no time for sightseeing and you need breakfast then is this hotel not the best choise because they are not focused for that. You step into the hotel and you are at reception. On the left direct on the front of the reception you have your "breakfast" with the beautiful view to the hotels parking spot. Not to forget, what is a "no go", cold coffee!

Okay experience overall. Staff is ok. The room was ok. The bed & toilet were clean. The bathroom door and shower were not. The curtain was really dirty. We had to sleep with earbuds because the a/c was so loud in the room. The towels for the body were not the same size and the second day we did not have a mat.

The breakfast is not very diverse, 2 cereal choices, cheap cookies, good croissant, coffee & apple juice. Some bread, banana and apple. And eggs & bacon bites. That's it.

Another thing is that if you come in late, there won't be any place left in the parking. We had to park in the streets every night.

The bed, sheets and pillow were one of the most comfortable I have slept in. So that's the only outstanding thing in the hotel.

The couple next door decided to have a domestic fight.lock themselves out yelling and screaming then decided to knock my door at 1am.asked me to call the front desk.which is not an option.front desk is closed.no one on site from 11pm until 8am.best part watching them break the screen to get back in their room.

It's ok. Hard to control heating. Breakfast, quite sparse, is 0815 to 1000 so no good for early starters. Very spartan. Stay again? Maybe.

Very disappointing. Only thing good about this place is positive attitude of staff. Never to return to this hotel.

The person at the front desk wouldn't stop lying and contradicting himself. The door would barely close and wouldn't seal. The beds were so uncomfortable and the room was very dated. So loud it was a struggle to sleep.
