Yesterday I had the pleasure of having a Quannessance facial from Jalpa. It was honestly one of the best facials I’ve ever had! My skin feels so soft and hydrated. The facial massage was incredibly relaxing. Jalpa is amazing. I will definitely be back. I truly recommend this service! The facility is very clean and front desk staff are very welcoming and helpful!

I would highly recommend Secret Spa. I have been going to the Spa for the last year to have my nails done. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. The Spa is exceptionally clean. Prices are reasonable too!

So thankful I found Amy as my new hair dresser. I’ve been all over town looking. Amy is very friendly and professional, does what you ask and is very thoughtful. Secret Spa is a very professional place, clean, quiet and comfortable

After having incredible experiences with Robin, I made an appt for a keratin treatment. They booked me with their newly hired barber (a new graduate), who used a detangling brush and awful method which completely destroyed my hair. Dan told me to wait 3 weeks for the product to fully set. I should have known better!
After an awful interaction with the secretary (her saying i came in for a cut when I booked a color, saying I should have came in before 30 days when it was 28, being very unpleasant), the owner called and apologized, then asked me to come in. They would reimburse me the $350 I paid to have my hair destroyed. They spoke with the stylist, had already fired the barber, yet wanted me to come in for a consult. I should have known.
I booked a hair color appt. Robin told me my hair felt like salt and he couldn't color it, just tone it a darker color to hide the damage and give the dead ends a trim. After I consulted Denise she told me the damage wasn't that bad and was my fault for using Keratese purple shampoo along with tresemme. I use $100 products but tresemme did all this damage? Denise sent me away with a sample box worth $30. I gave her a hug and thanked her, as I trusted her as a hairstylist herself. I stupidly booked another appt at the spa, they gave me a trim and color. When paying the $180 total, the secretary told me the trim and toner Robin gave me the previous month as well as the sample pack was equivalent to $350 and they wouldn't help me. I went to two separate salons in Antigonish and Sydney, they were in total disbelief that my hair was this damaged, knew immidietaly that the technique used was wrong, and that I should never return to spas for hair treatments. I had been prepping it for blonde since the beginning of the Covid 2019 hair crisis.years of silk scrunchies, repairing oils, $50 pillowcases, hair treatments from Sephora completely gone.
TAKE THAT ADVICE. Go for cuts with Robin, but god help you if you ask for quality treatments, because they certainly won't. I trusted this salon and kept driving one hour distances for these appointments. Learn my expensive lesson. I will keep driving 2 hour distances from now on as PHK is a lovely rinky dink town, but offers rinky dink services.

Excellent service!
Dan did a fantastic job on my highlights, even helping me choose the right color blond to go with. He’s very friendly and professional. It’s been a long time since someone did a good on my hair.
Highly recommend going there! Definitely be going back.

Will not EVER be returning! Barry did my hair, I happened to meet his partner there too, Bryson Silyboy, as I was getting my hair done, I spoke of my granddaughter who is Metis. Bryson then began to call me a KAREN racist colonizer and Metis don't exist. I've never been so shocked in my life by the turn of conversation. Barry didn't say a word except that Bryson was right that Metis people don't exist and that Bryson was a activist residential school survivor so I need not have an opinion at all. On just saying that Metis people exist? He just kept cutting my hair. I didn't speak the rest of my time there, I was honestly fearful Bryson might follow me out. I can't believe you have people like that working there!
