It’s the very best place for eggs Benedict and I have tried those in many places. Poached just right on nice portion of bacon and covered in Hollandaise sauce. Very generous and superb taste. Very interesting version of hash browns. They have an interesting take on hash browns and they are really tasty. Excellent value for money. OK, you order at the counter and pay and they will bring you the food. Works fine for me. The dining area is simple, tables and chairs, no fuss. We came on Wednesday morning. It’s a small place, there’s a line out there on weekends Fine with me, one chef makes small batches of excellent food. I can wait. Try them on a weekday. Don’t miss this one.

The breakfast was great. Homemade jam and bread (toasted to perfection,) and a potatoe side that is surprisingly delicious.

Update 2023

Returned to the restaurant while in town - the food quality is still top notch. This is without a doubt the best breakfast spot in Atlantic Canada. Hands down.

We passed through Sydney during our visit to Cape Breton and loved this friendly and unique restaurant that we've visited more than once. The food is delicious and there's a really good vibe. To add to our sympathy, the waiter recognized us on the street several hours after we left the restaurant and went to fetch for us items from the closed restaurant that my daughter had forgotten when she left! Now back home, I'm going to miss this place!

This is the sweetest place! We decided to go for an impromptu stop for breakfast and are so happy we did. The environment is so lovely, the cutest decor and great vibe overall. The team was willing to accommodate allergies/dietary preferences and even double and triple checked on a few of those requests. The service was stellar through and through, our waitress brought out handmade aprons for our kiddos after seeing me struggle to make napkin bibs. Most importantly the food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. The breakfast bowl was easily the best breakfast I’ve had. The veggies were fresh, the hollandaise was so silky, the eggs were perfectly cooked and the potatoes were crispy. We also got the waffles with homemade whipped cream that tasted like “home”. Will return here anytime we’re in town, highly encourage you to do the same!

Absolutely fantastic breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot. The eggs benny are among the best I’ve had anywhere, the hollandaise bright and lemony. The French toast and slices of home baked toast are excellent too. The scone wasn’t my favourite - too cake-y and sugary sweet - but that’s just my taste. The service here is very good; when they learned that I don’t eat bacon, which was on my Benny, they offered to make a new one and served up some delicious mushrooms on the side. Note that you have to order at the front before taking a seat - so make sure there’s a table available before sitting down! Can also be a little loud in the dining room if it’s full, but the patio is terrific. Overall I highly recommend dining here if you’re in Sydney!
