Good seafood. Amazing location. The atmosphere is nothing out of ordinary small town restaurant. But, I give 5 stars for friendly service and amazing view.

Lobster rolls! Delicious lobster rolls! Everyone in our group had lobster rolls and we all loved them. Also dog friendly place on the patio.

We enjoyed a great meal on the deck here before heading over to Peggy’s Cove. Really great food and service, and a beautiful view from the deck. Go here instead of the places closer to Peggy’s Cove - you won’t regret it.

First off the service was super, never seen such happy workers ready and willing to make our visit unforgettable, the lobster roll was way too good. Not to mention the chowder was off the chain, with fish and chips. We also had fish cakes, a little different but it was ok. Overall a must visit if you're ever in Peggy's cove.

The food was very good! Some of the best we had on our trip. Great view to enjoy while having a meal. The staff was nice.

I'm not a foodie by any means, but I do have a habit of ordering fish and chips at virtually any restaurant that offers it, since it's one of my favourite meals and is about as far as I venture into seafood. The "golden fried fish and chips" was the best I've ever had and set a new bar:

-The fish had thick, airy, crisp batter, and the fish was very tender and flakey
-The slice of lemon that accompanied it was large and had lots of juice in it
-The tartar sauce was perfectly tart and creamy, with fresh cucumber grated into it
-The fries were PERFECTLY cooked. Crisp on the outside while still pillowy on the inside

The meal nailed every aspect of a fish and chip meal, no tasteless tartar or lackluster fries, it was all perfect!

I'm looking forward to my next trip out East so we can visit Shaw's Landing again!

Great food near Peggy's cove. Decent portions and everything is extremely fresh. I had the seafood chowder and mussels for lunch w white wine and couldn't have been more pleased. I think we all were so stoked we got desert as well

We had ten days Road trips in NS, NB and PEI. It is the best seafood restaurant in the whole trip. The price is reasonable and they offers the best chowder in NS and PEI.

Still a great place for seafood very close to Peggy's Cove. But they became too famous for their own good. Regularly long waiting times to get a table (30 min or more). The food is good, but it used to be excellent. You can get much better chowder in Lunenburg. Scallops are top notch. The bread/buns - generally, average (and used to be extraordinary).

Service excellent, friendly and little waiting. Wonderful calm view by the water. Tables spaced out nicely. We ordered fish and chips and chowder, all excellent. Happy to find this place, highly recommend.

Really great place to eat with excellent customer service. A must eat is the lobster roll, white wine mussle!

We've been in the Maritimes two weeks eating seafood. Their seafood chowder is the best we've had and they aren't charging an arm and a leg for it.

We loved everything about this place: the food is fantastic, the service super and the view of the bay from the patio is gorgeous. Will be back soon!

Make sure to go there when it's not completely dark so you can enjoy the view. The staff were very friendly. The food was very delicious especially the fish and chips and the chowder. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is that the lobster was slightly overcooked and rubbery which I expected more considering the price and location. Other than that a very enjoyable experience.

Stopped in on a Sunday evening for a quick meal and enjoyed it a bunch! Had the chowder and the mussels and both were great!

This place is now my favorite place to get fish and chips! They were delicious! My wife and our friends all got a 2 piece fish & chips and 14oz beer for $18.00 and we were all blown away!
The service was extremely pleasant and flexible! We got to sit out on the patio and the view was gorgeous. I will absolutely be going back! Such a nice experience!

It’s so good we had to go back twice. We ordered pretty much one of everything off the menu. It is some of the best food we have had. By far the best seafood. The severs are friendly, attentive and very efficient. It does get busy later in the day so plan accordingly.

The fish and chips are crispy and not oily. The crispy layer is thin so that you can enjoy the fresh and sweet fish meat. The texture of the fries are also solid. Well done.

Great museum to see the history of the east coast of Canada and how Canada was developed. Information on many of the ships that docked in Halifax.

This is my second time visiting Halifax and also second time here. I love the service here. All the staffs are friendly and the lobster is to die for. It is super fresh and 1.5L is just enough!

We had the mussels in white wine garlic, lobster sandwich and the scallops. Everything was delicious!

Cute little spot to stop if you’re in the area. Fish and chips for $15 and the fish was 2 huge pieces that was perfectly battered. The spot is right on the water so water views to enjoy while on the patio. Our server was fantastic.

5 stars are not enough stars for us to describe how great this place is! Great food, great atmosphere. Locally owned and locally sourced seafood. We recommend all our paddlers head over to Shaw’s after day of kayaking. Beer and lobster… n’uff said!

If you're on your way to Peggy's Cove then you need to make a stop at Shaw's Landing. It is 100% worth the stop over. Got there around noon and there was plenty of seating but by the time we left there was a line up.

The food is fantastic! The Digby scallops were delicious as was the lobster roll. I'm not usually a dessert person but I highly recommend the ginger cake.

Amazing staff and food!
We made two trips in three days, we had to try as much different seafood as we could.
We had fish and chips, mussels, scallops, the seafood mmmmmmm chowder, shrimp and the lobster roll.
Was all amazing!

Great service and a view that’s hard to beat but the lobster roll trumped it all. What a nice sandwich and they didn’t skimp on the lobster in the sandwich. My daughter explicitly liked the claw meat in the sandwich.

We had an awesome lunch at Shaw’s Landing after playing tourists at Peggy’s Cove. I was thrilled to learn the patio was dog friendly, the staff was so friendly and the food was delightful!

Quaint little restaurant. The location was beautiful. The food was delicious, although the waitress took half of my lobster meal and threw it in the garbage while I was in the restroom. I was very disappointed by this. My meal was very expensive and I wasn't finished with it. The same waitress charged me full price while giving an apology.

I, unfortunately, i think that we came at a very busy time (2 pm), because we first had to wait for a while outside to get a table. And then the food took almost an hour to come to our table. They also never brought the appetizer that we have ordered. The food that did come was very tasty. But unfortunately we were not planning on spending two hours for a lunch as we had lots of other plans. All in all this made our experience not as enjoyable as it could be.

The food was great, but they were out of their most popular fares.which is why we went in the first place.

This was an amazing place to eat my first lobster roll and didn’t disappoint. FYI Long Island teas are to die for!

I dont know how this place got good reviews. My hubby had huge lobster roll at Toms Lobster shack $26 I held out for this place…. Lobster roll was $23 stale bun and 2 tablespoons lobster verses at least 8x more filling and fresh bun at Toms sent hubby back to Toms for me sold out. Also hair in chowder at Shaws. Do not waste your time here. Chowder full of potatoes. Lobster Roll Toms all the way! I missed out!

Excellent experience. Yummy food. Very comfortable atmosphere. The views are amazing. Great to see such hands on ownership making sure they move forward in a very different world! Hats off to Rob and crew! Thanks! We will be back soon. SMD

Great, fresh seafood at competitive prices. I really enjoyed the lobster roll and muscles. Be sure to get the Thai currie muscles! Oysters were fresh as well!

Stopped there for lunch after spending te morning at Peggy’s Cove, we went for the cup of chowder and the lobster and beer and it was incredible, the chowder was so good, the lobster was boiled to perfection, amazing staff
