One of the finest Aviation museum in Atlantic Canada There is a flight simulation game console available next to exit near washroom. Atleast 30 different Canadian navy helicopters and snow birds in the museum with a lot of details of each model. It's a must visit for any aviation freak and wants to explore the different fleets of plane in the navy armory. Visited on the weekend but was not crowded.

It's a free entry, with donation box in the front. Lot of free parking.

Great place

A great place dedicated to naval aviation. Has 2 very rare aircraft a Swordfish and a firefly that make the museum special.

There is a large collection of aircraft available for viewing, most with local ties. Many interesting stories behind them. There's also a decent sized library for the history buff. A bit out of the way but worth the trip. Admission is free but donations help the many volunteers run the facility.

Quaint, humble, and historical museum. Something for everyone who had dreams or still dream of flying and/or soaring the skies. Children's area to play on a simulator or make your own plane. As you tour around the aircraft some offer a cabin perspective while others allow you to see inside the cockpit from the front. Look for the various paths around the edge of the show floor to see the outer walls. The U-boat and ship movement board was really neat.

Cool to see military panes and helicopters up close but the museum can use some renovations, then again it's a museum that's free to enter. So please donate accordingly

I like this museum very much. First of all, I would like to lament those heroes who have given their all and their lives to defend the aviation industry. At the same time, I also respect the staff who organize and operate this museum. Thank you for letting me know more!

A free museum that allows you up, close and personal with some aircrafts. Lots of parking available on site. While down in the area, check our Fisherman's cove.

There is something very special about a well cared for, curated and knowledgable staffed museums. It is staffed by volunteers who have an absolute passion for this piece of Canadian aviation / NAVY history.

We were greeted by extremely pleasant, helpful, cheery and dedicated staff here. I give them all 10 STARS all day long! Cheers to them)

And don't forget to drop by the gift shop for unique and one of a kind souvenirs as well.

There is no admission fee, but donations are welcomed. Please give what you can)

Let us remember, thank and salute the memories of all the Fallen members of the Canadian Armed Services who selflessly serve and protect the freedoms and liberties that we all enjoy every day. I THANK THEM ALL FOR THEIR SERVICE!

Awesome museum to check out. The woman at the front desk was great and the displays had a lot of information. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the Halifax area.

A buddy of mine asked me to go and I hadn't visited the museum for many years so I agreed. I'm glad I went because i really enjoyed it, it's a great little museum.

It has many displays, both from artists as well as real full sized aircraft. I found the displays were well maintained and there was a crew of mechanics working on an engine the day we were there. There was plenty of history to see and read up on in the museum.

If you haven't gone in a while or have never been, I highly recommend a visit. There was no line, the museum was very clean and appeared very well maintained and lots of parking. The staff were very friendly and looked like they enjoyed being there.

Wonderful place to visit with informed, friendly, and professional staff who have direct experience with exhibits. In fact, some of the staff could be exhibits themselves! This is a worthwhile stop if you're a local history buff.or not.

This is a fine aviation museum where I have been to. First of all, there are two theme halls on the both hands sides of the entrance way. The hall on the left hand side has a few aircrafts which were in use closing the period of the second world War. The right side has about 5 retired military helicopters and 3 jets. The museum not only show aircrafts but also there is military uniforms, ship&aircrafts models and so on. Secondly, the only staff here is nice and kind. She is quite enthusiastic to visitors. In addition, I saw a bunch of wild Canadian geese temporally dwelling outside of the museum. They are not aggressive at all. Maybe they are too tired to bite me. Overall, it's pleasant for me to recall today's aviation museum tour.
