Absolute worst pharmacy ever. I am current still on hold after 1 hour.like seriously answer the phone. They never have your prescription ready when they say or even started it for that matter. Ugh never ever use this pharmacy unless your dying and have no other option I would rate -100000000 if I could

I rarely go to this location mainly because you essentially have to pass through a beauty store that assaults you with every scent imaginable. One day I said screw it, and I went up. Made my way through to the pharmacy and waited in line. There were at least 8 people back there. When I finally got to the front, I stood there, in full view of everyone, for at least 5 minutes, watching nothing really happen. It was like time stood still while I was waiting, until someone apparently flipped a switch and a member approached the counter. The interaction was courteous but a strange experience.

Pharmacy staff are rude and unprofessional. Wait times by phone and in person are extremely long. I have switched pharmacies because of my constant bad experiences for over a decade.

Do not go here if you have any other options. If I could rank them lower than a 1, I would. The Pharmacy staff refuse to answer the phone.even after you've been on hold for 1.5 hours and bring it with you when you show up in person to find them chatting amongst themselves, wondering around, or ignoring people at the counter just as vehemently. I don't understand how the owner can be okay with this - but I guess scraping the bottom of the barrel for workers makes you complacent in it. As soon as my refills are completed and I can get the next round sent elsewhere, I'll never set foot in this store again. As it is, I'm off again with my still on hold call for the third time in a row. This is not a one-off and your experience will not be better. They are the worst in the city by far.

I went in here today to get a prescription filled for Freestyle Libre 2 sensors. I had pulled one off by accident early on, so was refilling the months supply after only 2 weeks. My benefits wouldn't cover the early renewal, but Devanshi came to my rescue! She knew exactly what to do, and got the system to process so my benefits would cover it. Not only did she save me 250.00, she made my night, and she is officially my favorite employee at this store.

This pharmacy is dangerous and should be investigated for their incompetence. A pharmacy is a very serious business with little room for error and this pharmacy is not taking their job seriously.

At least five times in a row my refill was not ready when they said it would be ready, and the last three times they didn't even have the medication I needed in stock when I showed up to pick up my prescription. They didn't even tell me when I called in the refill that they didn't have it. They waited until I showed up to tell me that they didn't have it in stock.

When I showed up tonight, again they didn't have my refill ready and again they didn't have my medication in stock when they promised me it would be back in stock on Monday or Tuesday (it is now Thursday).

Many people, including myself, need their medications every day or various bad things will happen. When I got frustrated that they keep putting me in this difficult position over and over again, the pharmacist, instead of figuring out how to make an adjustment so this won't keep happening, called the police on me and had me banned from the store.

This pharmacy is run by incompetent people who should not be trusted with something as serious as prescription medication. If you get a medication refilled by this pharmacy and it is a medication you absolutely must have every day, then you are in danger. Switch pharmacies immediately, because when push comes to shove, they will call the police on you before they will make adjustments to serve you better.

They do not answer phone, I have been calling for 4 hours straight right now. Last time I was there waited 2 hours and gave up and asked for my medication to be transfered. The reviews that are 5 stars don't believe it.

Terrible customer service. I stood at the checkout lane while 2 employees stood behind the counter talking. Neither acknowledged my existence. I understand if you’re busy, but a simple “ we’ll be right with you” goes a long way in customer service.

Worst pharmacy! I tried calling there numerous times of day to find out if they received my prescription from my doctor to avoid driving down there to be told no. I get that it can be busy, but when you let it ring for 5 for 6 minutes only to have them pick up the phone and hang up is a little frustrating to say the least. No matter if it's early morning or late afternoon I seem to never be able to get through. Also. 2 days to have a prescription filled seems ridiculous. I think it's time to take my business elsewhere.

Put in a prescription 48hrs ago. Go in after NOT receiving a text update to the person up front saying the entire system is down. When I ask why mine isn’t ready considering it’s been 2 days… she says that the system has BEEN down for two days.
If this is the case there should have been notification as my medication I am reliant on. Furthermore, it should have been ready anyways. Her solution when I asked was to “call later” so this pharmacy has 0 problem putting peoples health in jeopardy and does not provide a solution otherwise. A joke.

And update as a warning. System likely won’t be up for a few days I have heard

My father came to pick up his prescription over the weekend and the system was down so the worker could not tell if my fathers prescription was ready as my father who is very elderly and doesn’t have ability to go back and forth to the pharmacy for his prescription. Mo (the young man dealing with my father) recognized that my father wasn’t able to come back and was so unbelievably kind and gracious to go deliver the medication on his lunch break. When my father told me and my wife this story, my wife also had said that every time she had dealt with Mo he had always lived up to his promise. He did an excellent job and we need more people like him in this world. Well Done!

So cheap you had to take away minimum wage jobs? No more cashiers is a hassle and looks cheap on you! I like having the option of a cashier OR self check out. Disgusting you cut jobs and can only use self check out. Very hard for elderly and disabled people. As a pharmacy you should care about the people who keep YOUR company in business.

Also pharmacy staff are terrible to deal with.

Another trip to this pharmacy, and another bad review. Placed my prescription order over the phone, eight hours before I showed up. I was told 3 hours on the ohone Never got an alert. Went into the store after the eight hours asked if they were ready, she said they were ready, then went and got boxes from the fridge and had the pharmacist fill them right then and there then I got the alert. While my weight was not long, my prescription was actually not filled. They just filled it when I arrived. What would’ve happened had I not gone into the store?

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Submitted a refill online, expecting it to be filled in a day or so. Never got a response. So tried to call. Waited on hold for 15 min before I hung up and went to the store. I was then told that online takes 48-72 hours because it comes from a computer in Ontario…. Must be the slowest computer ever. I was told by the pharmacist that it was faster if you called…except they are too busy sometimes to answer the phones (their words not mine) in 2023 online refills, on the phone refills or in store refills should be the same turnaround. If you need to upgrade the tech, do it. If you need more staff, do it. Once I complained in store it was done in 5 min. The prescription was literally 2 boxes they had to slap stickers on. It is trying unacceptable to wait 2-3 days for an online refill.

Extremely poor customer service and the pharmacist owner should put more focus into her complacency, stepping up to the plate, and doing her job, instead of her plastic appearance, and posting getting her makeup done on the instagram page! Will honestly never go here again!
I dropped off a prescription for my child, and was told it would be ready in 2 hours, and I would recieve a text when it was ready.
Fantastic right?
Wrong turns out it was a medication that needs to be filled by a compound pharmacy. Which wasn't caught at drop off no big deal everyone makes mistakes. Except they didnt even bother to call and tell me. I dropped this prescription off at 3 in the afternoon when compound pharmacies were open so I easily could have gotten it somewhere else.
Instead I contacted the pharmacy 5 hours later after not recieving a ready text to be told they couldn't fill it they were going to call me in the morning.
Awful service all the way around.

Went to Lacewood Shoppers this afternoon to get a refill from the pharmacist on my very needed blood pressure meds and was informed by a Ethiopian helper that they cannot help me? !? !? ! So maybe I should take my business elsewhere! Maybe they dont even care. Who knows!

Worst pharmacy location. I dropped off a prescription the day before that they lost. They didnt even have me in their system after i watched the person at the front counter add my information the day before: Not organized, they dont take accountability for their error. They need training on file management and organization.

The pharmacy has "accidentally" given my personal information to another customer twice, and when I complained absolutely no action was taken. Just a flimsy apology followed up by even flimsier excuses. The wait times to pick up a prescription are bordering on comical because you can wait DAYS to have a script filled and they still somehow can't get it right. There should be an option for negative star reviews.

I’m new to the province and I had a bit of a problem getting my prescriptions transferred from BC to NS. Nobody was able to figure out what the problem was but Julian a pharmacist at the Lacewood location was extremely helpful and followed up with me to provide a solution to my problem. A super nice and friendly gentleman with a very high focus in proving great customer service. He also assisted me with my flu vaccine. Thank you Julian!

There is no option to give 0 stars otherwise I would have picked that.
We cursed ourselves for sticking with this pharmacy.
Every time it is similar experience, trouble applying insurance. They always tell us wrong amounts.
I had put prescription and it had been with them for 2 days and whenever we call to check they say it will be ready in 2 hours. Even after getting the message that it is ready, it was not ready, we had to stand at the counter for 20 mins to actually get it. I don’t understand why it takes so much time to print a label and give the ready medicine.
The staff there has the worst work ethic I have ever seen in my life!
There are 10 people in the line up and they kept chatting up with each other. There is no management! I felt terrible seeing old people walking away from counter after waiting for 20-40 mins! Terrible terrible!
I AM NEVER GOING BACK HERE!

Store is clean and tidy, however I asked someone for help and they didn't seem to enthusiastic. When I asked where something was they pointed me to the general area but didn't walk me to the product.

I have gone to this store for years and I have finally given up and switched to Lawtons. My sister has as well. Some of the pharmacist are wonderful, but generally the staff just make things difficult. They repeatedly would charge me for a prescription, even after I ask them to double check that it went through my heath plan, and they confirmed it did, only to find out they hadn’t bothered to run it through. This happened often. I would also get noticed that my medication was ready for pick up only to get there and find out that they weren’t (after already waiting for 3 days for it to be filled).
Honestly, it’s just a lot of work to be a customer of this pharmacy. So I’ve switched.

What's the point of the pharmacy having a phone when they NEVER EVER pick it up? No point in calling them, just go in. You MIGHT have a better chance of speaking to someone, maybe. Also no point in signing up for their text message when your prescription is ready, they never send one.

Great time here this evening. Flu shot was quick and efficient. Pharmacist was nice even though they were WOW busy. The Beauty Boutique staff were wonderful and helped me find what I needed.

I was served by Liz, in the beauty side of the store! She honestly made my day. I have never had such a great customer service experience at any other retailer! 10/10! I asked for a gift bag for my purchase from her and when she realized I was buying a perfume for my partner, she asked if he wears suits. When I said yes, she gave me a pair of Ralph Lauren cuff links with my RL perfume purchase! I was looking for nice cufflinks all week and then this happened- wonderful coincidence and amazing service:)

Worst pharmacy ever. We have to wait longer hours for prescribed medications. Last week, they said my medication will be ready in an hour. When I went there after 1 1/2 hours later, medication was not yet ready and asked me to wait for another 1/2 hour. This was not the first time. Terrible customer service. I have another worst thing to share about this pharmacy. Will edit this review later for that.

I have been going to this pharmacy for well over a decade and in the last 4 years I have been dumbfounded by the lack of customer service and overall care, not just for myself but for my family members as well. Today I was on the phone for 3 straight hours (1pm - 4pm) just attempting to get someone from pharmacy on the phone regarding a prescription that should have been refilled 3 days ago. Upon trying for another hour (7: 30pm - 8: 30pm) I was told my prescription that should have been ready 3 days ago will be ready for pick up, maybe, by 10pm tonight. When I told the pharmacist (I assume) how difficult it was to get someone on the phone he didn't even acknowledge it, forget an apology.
Your well being is treated as a joke and on top of that you are treated like garbage by this pharmacy team. No one should be treated this way - especially a paying client. This pharmacy may be the worst in Halifax by far - I will be switching and I suggest anyone dealing with them does the same.

I've been a life long customer at this shoppers and I am switching pharmacies. This place used to be great to deal with now it is just very unpleasant and horrible service. Trying to call this place is extremely difficult even during "slower" busy periods. Nobody ever picks the phone up at this place. I doubt the phone even rings there because I have never been able to reach anyone. There is constantly a long line when trying to get my prescription. Several times I've waited so long and just left because the line doesn't move. Seems by the reviews many others have the same issue. My prescriptions over the past 10 years have added up to over $450,000 yet the customer service is rushed and rude. I do not feel appreciated here. I would advise anyone looking for a pharmacy to look elsewhere.

My experience with trying to get through was absolutely unexceptional 3 days to get someone in the pharmacy and when I did there was no helping with medication. I feel if you put people on hold for hours at a time and then hanging up you might need more customer service support. I feel sorry for the elderly people if dealing with this shoppers. Poor poor service never in my life have I ever had such poor service. Sackville dr. Shoppers would never have let this happen. You call u get answered and helped people should not have this much anxiety just to get medication. This is for the elderly

I have been a life long customer of Shoppers, but after two months at this location, I am done and switching pharmacies.

Exceptionally disorganized, nobody knows what they are doing, and the customer service is lacking at best. They claim my account is set up, but I never receive optimum points despite submitting my card more than once to be added to my account. Very long waits for pick up and to speak with a pharmacist, and their advice is less than stellar.

If you are looking for a pharmacy in Halifax, thankfully you have dozens of options. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere!

I've been using this pharmacy for 4 years and have had nothing but unsatisfactory experiences, but this will be the one that finally makes me switch. During a pandemic, I called in a prescription I need to take daily OVER ONE WEEK in advance to ensure I was giving them the time they need during these crazy times. As I am high risk, my bf went in to pick it up today, waited through the line and possibly exposed himself, just to be told it wasn't ready and he would need to return in 30 minutes. OVER ONE WEEK OF NOTICE and it's still not done? And now he's going to have to wait through and expose himself AGAIN. Not only can you only get 1 month of prescription at a time but you need to go twice per pick up I guess!

Worst customer service EVER. As a senior citizen of this city, the cosmetologists are quite snobby and I have worked as one in my earlier days, but that being said, they are unapproachable, they stand behind the greeting desk in the front of the store, and literally look at you when you're standing at the station when you are patiently awaiting their assistance.yet there at the station they remain! It's reprehensible behavior and most certainly unprofessional. I enjoy purchasing my luxury cosmetics but I most certainly won't be returning to this location. The pharmacist owner did nothing also.and sadly her face resembles that unpleasant attitude.frown, no greeting upon meeting her, and no apology.

I moved to this area almost a year ago now. When I moved I had my prescriptions transferred to this location for obvious convenience. I NEVER HAD A SINGLE ISSUE with my Shoppers in Lower Sackville but EVERY SINGLE TIME - WITHOUT EXCEPTION - I have had grief with this location. I have had to chase prescriptions, correct incorrect issuance (wrong drug), fight for correct quantities and pay dispensing fees (which I have never paid before). I have 3 drug plans as primary or spousal coverage and everything is covered but this pharmacy CANNOT figure it out. Hassle EVERY TIME I deal with them. I am changing pharmacies and DO NOT RECOMMEND this store to anyone. They have incompetent staff and their attitude is unbelievably poor.

If i could give no stars for the service i got today at the pharmacy.
I understand that i have insurance so i didnt have to pay, however, that still means you have to tell me how to take the medication ect.
I stood there for 15 minutes after being cashed out and no one spoke to me, the cashier didnt ask me if i took it before ect.
Not pleased, and will not take my prescriptions to another shoppers let alone shop there again.

I don't know why i keep using this pharmacy. They screw up my requests every single time. I come back because they have my refills and it is convenient. The wait times and line up are always bad.

Worst pharmacy I've ever encountered. Long wait times. The estimates they give you for wait times are always inaccurate. There is usually a long line for pick up. There are some really pleasant people working at the pharmacy, but there are also a few who need basic customer service training. Choose any other pharmacy in the area and you will get better service.

This place is MY Shoppers. It may be close, it may be clean but these are *nothing* compared to the staff! When I was little there was a Mom&Pop pharmacy in our neighbourhood. That's exactly how I feel about this location. Yeah, it may be a 'big box' retailer, however the staff know me by name, have helped me with *any* issues that may arise & don't judge me by medications or ailments! They always have a smile, we even get some giggles in if it's slow (though not often). I LOVE THIS PLACE because of the STAFF! If your in need of a pharmacy in the area, *this* is where you need to go. 100% would recommend to family or friends & I do.
