I only go here because of optimum points. You have to wait 48 hrs for a script to be filled. Most times you can’t wait 48 hrs if it’s urgent. Scripts have been filled out wrong. App states script is ready for pick up when it’s not. Lines are always long. I give a 3/5 instead of 2/5 because staff now are much friendlier.

Unfortunately giving them a poor review; it is seldom that we need a prescription but now both times having come here, they have misplaced it or failed to even open the sent referrals. Over 8 people were working the last time we went and they seemed scattered.
Store is of the less organized as well.

I came down for my scheduled flu shot tonight. I waited half an hour before someone finally told me I had to check in. To be fair, there was a sign on the desk that said, if you need assistance see the other desk. I did not understand this to mean you need to check in for your appointment. When I went in for my COVID shot two weeks ago, there was no required check in. It seems like the process is inconsistent so perhaps a sign that directs people what do to would be more helpful. That seems like common sense.

Also, a bit concerning that no one asked me for my health card or to confirm my date of birth for the appointment.

Very unprofessional Unable to find prescriptions for people was there twice to get. My prescription and thery couldn't find. The prescription was needed for the appointment on Friday. Which they knew on Wednesday and assured me. It would be there Thursday was not there. Very rude told me to go find it somewhere else.

If the mess of their pharmacy shelves are any indication of how they run this location.stay away! Only exception, we saw Kathy at the care clinic and she was lovely!

The worst place to fill your medications. The staff are rude and snappy. Doesn't matter what time of day you go there's a line up of at least 5 people ahead of you. Staff are so so SO SLOW at serving customers. It's like they move in slow motion. They chit chat with one another, strike up pointless conversations with regulars and don't care who's waiting. I've waited 35 minutes in line for a medication that was ALREADY FILLED AHEAD OF TIME! They get my meds wrong constantly that could be fixed by a simple phone call but instead sigh when they have to fix their mistakes! Refused to scan my points card as "it is on file" which it isn't. I always scan it. $600 worth of meds I just picked up and earned 0 points because the staff member refused to scan it. I seriously hate this place and you will never find me here again. I'd drive 5 hours somewhere else before I give them my business

I interact with this pharmacy on a regular basis due to my profession and while my experiences aren’t always bad, most of the time the pharmacy assistants are extremely rude, unfriendly and behave as if helping their customers is burdensome. I would never choose this pharmacy for my personal needs and cringe at the thought of calling them for the needs of others.

I should've trusted the reviews here. I was naive and now am another customer that will never come back. The prescription was faxed to pharmacy, and nothing happened. I went there and they said there wasn't a request (with a huge attitude even though I was friendly). Isn't the fax a request? I need to confirm the confirmation? Other pharmacies put in the order right after the fax. So they asked me to come back 24h later and surprise. 24h later my prescription was not filled because the pharmacist denied it. No call made to let me know, nothing. When I went there to pick it up (not ready, of course) the woman said in a very rough tone that I ordered it too soon, so I would not have my medicine. In a very condescending tone like I was abusing the medicine. It was a glitch in the system, it was easy to notice, but she kept her tone. I had to convince her, showing all my proof and then she says. "ok, come back in FOUR hours". After all of this, it should've at least been their priority. Again, never more. Looking for another pharmacy ASAP.

Really disappointed with the quality of customer service from the pharmacy. My prescription got partially filled due to a shortage (understandable) and was told it should be ready the next day. Came in 5 days later and it still wasn't available (again, not their fault, I can be patient). I was asked if I had received a call, to which I answered no, as the pharmacy has no history of calling me when my prescriptions are ready. The pharmacist, in a slightly condescending tone, told me she always calls people when the prescription is ready, and that they would call when it's ready. Another 4 days later, no call. I call this time to check, and my prescription has been ready for 3 days. I told the person on the phone that I was told to expect a call, and that I would appreciate getting a call if I'm told to expect one (I always try my best to speak to people politely on the phone). I was met with a very plainly annoyed tone stating that they don't have time to call everyone, and was asked if they had my number to receive a text (the first thing they asked me when I called was if I had received a message, in the same "if we didn't message you, it's obviously not ready" tone).
I am a generally very patient person, and try to avoid bad interactions with customer service workers, as issues rarely are the fault of frontline workers. However, this was honnestly the rudest and most condescending I've been talked to by anyone in any customer service field. Really disappointing, and having read other comments from the last few months, this seems to be more of a recent issue. I would love to see the standard of service return to what it was last year. 2/5 stars

Edit: Went and picked up my order and the pharmacist who gave it to me was really nice. It was clear who on the team I had spoken to on the phone and who I hadn't. The pharmacist who was answering the phone was complaining about customers right after taking calls, in front of customers. I'm changing my review to 3/5 stars because of my positive interaction: high tides raise all ships, but also low tides beach all boats.

This location has given me NOTHING but issues. They lost a prescription. They gave my child the wrong size puffers. They don't fill things on time and constantly give me a hard time with any of my prescriptions. Do not go here.

I called to check when a prescription would be ready for pick up that had been faxed approximately 30 minutes earlier, I was told nothing was there for me. When I asked if that was normal, having a delay, the response was “our fax machine has been going all morning I don’t know what to tell you” in a tone that was very clear me asking for clarification was not acceptable. The rudeness of this response left me shocked, I think it’s time to move to a different pharmacy

I have been a customer for as long as I can remember
I just called the pharmacy to enquire about medication that was supposed to be ready yesterday. Yesterday I was told to call back today. They would be ready this morning.
I called and got two different stories.
One their computers were down. The other they have a shortage in the medication.
The pharmacy attendant I talked to was very rude. She talked to me in "sing song" voice and refused to give me her managers name.
The shortage? Only lasted as long as it took to get the manager on the phone.
He apologized and said they would be ready in a hour.
I like to give credit where credit is do. Not here. This was not a good way to start my day.
Be aware.

I went into Shoppers today at 6pm to pick up some items and in the cosmetics department a young girl had just removed all the sale stickers from the products. I asked if I could get a flyer so I could see which items were on sale so I could choose a brand to buy and the lady working behind the cosmetic counter said that the sale was over and the next one didn’t start until tomorrow (Saturday). She said “No it was over any minute now. ” I said that the sale goes until the end of the day and all the tags were off the products and I couldn’t see them now. She said oh well that’s just how they do it there. She rolled her eyes at me when I said she didn’t understand what I was saying. The young girl who was pulling the tags off (looked like the cosmetic lady was her boss) was very nice and got a pricing gun and checked a few items for me. She said she understood what I was saying. The tags were not off in other departments - just cosmetics. I won’t be going back to that Shoppers Drug Mart any time soon.

I give one star because zero stars is not an option. I’ve been a customer at this pharmacy for 2 decades and across the board, …astoundingly horrible customer service at the pharmacy. It’s only the inconvenience of transferring prescriptions and insurance information that has kept me from changing pharmacies. The store itself not bad, …the pharmacy, …two decades of consistent rude, slow, minimal customer service.

The only reason I still go to this store is because of its location. The staff have no empathy at all. When my mother who I was pushing in a wheelchair asked if She could be shown how the blood monitor worked she was told to come back in an hour. This was on a day when the weather conditions were terrible. Recently the hospital called in a prescription right after surgery and shoppers Told them it would take an hour and a 1/2 for the prescription to be ready. It was only 25 pills.

Shoppers has stopped putting clerks at the cashiers, instead they loiter, or more accurately hide near and around the self-checkout machines. Today, while trying to find something, the clerk sighed as I spotted him hiding behind a display and asked for help. This seems to be par for the course lately at all Shoppers, not just this one. He was short and clearly annoyed I asked for help, but this isn't his fault. They're all like this now. Clerks hiding, hoping you don't need their help, a ghost town at the self checkout machines. Then, if and when you find one, they are burnt out, stressed that you are taking them away from whatever task they've been given, and clearly the only person on the floor when there used to be more.

I don't know what corporate policy they've enacted, but it is evident this came from the head office. It's the same at Shoppers across Canada. Whatever executive thought this was the way to cut costs or please shareholders will soon find folks like me going elsewhere. I only stopped into this one because it was the only thing open that might have what I wanted. Since the corporate strategy with forcing self-checkout on people, the staff as a side effect have been so much less helpful since the change. To be frank, I'm not a fan. I prefer self-checkout usually, but this approach is clearly a total failure in the companies execution of a poorly thought out business strategy that looked good on a spreadsheet but fails in the real world.

I was spoken to very disrespectfully by one of the pharmaceutical staff. First time in 30 years. I was both shocked and annoyed. I wasn't asking for a miracle I just wanted to pick my prescription up in 6hours

I went to ask the pharmacists about an issue I was having in my "lower region" and they were both SO UNCOMFORTABLE, it was clear. Thankfully I didn't let them make me feel uncomfortable. I found it a very strange encounter. Also, I had to tell them there was a pill on the floor where the customers stand.

Despite the 2019 changes to pharmacy practice, these pharmacists will not renew or prescribe low dose birth control. They insist a doctor's prescription is always required. Try Lawton's.

Have been going to this shoppers over 40 years. In the past their service has been exceptional. In the past couple of years the pharmacy has been terrible
With a few exceptions.
Directions on file being ignored ie pills to be split arent for one.
Currently ordered diabetic needles, online went to pick them up they dont have any had to order more.
How does a pharmacy not have diabetic needles?

This was a really nice store but in the past year, I found the staff here becoming more and more apathetic. Not sure what is going on but it's not so nice anymore. The staff mainly act like they don't like working here and the environment is not so nice.

I have been to this store a few times since moving back to NS and find it to the be the worst SDM. More than once I have tried to buy something in the flyer from their two day sale and have been told that they are sold out. It made me think they are limiting their supply during the sale. Also, I understand that it can be very busy, but the staff are not very helpful. I will make the trip into Bedford to shop at a different SDM.

Great store to get covid in. Although signs are everywhere saying masks are mandatory in practice they are not. They aren't going to refuse you service or ask you to put a mask on. Not sure what the point of a security guard and signs everywhere if they aren't going to follow the mandates?

How difficult is it to refuse service?

Shopped at this location twice this weekend. A certain employee needs to keep their comments about shoppers in the store to themself. We all know that there are rules for shopping due to the Covid Pandemic
but every store is different. This is the first store that I have been in since the Covid Pandemic that I found the employee to be disrespectful to customers. This happened twice this weekend and it was the same employee. My suggestion would be to give this employee a break from his duties. I have worked everyday through this Pandemic myself and if I treated customers this way I would not have a job.

Oh, I wish I didn’t have to visit this place.

I was riding a trik at our camp site and we’ll I learnt why you don’t see adults riding them often. Went down a hill and rolled down it causing this massive road burn.

This shoppers helped me find some fluids from hell it self, didn’t realized they had a connection, peroxide. Because of the cuts hurting so much I also got some polystyrene with the burn relief.

This review is strictly towards the pharmacy!

The crew they have on board at this location, is actually the worst. None of them seem remotely happy! They are the least pleasurable to talk to. They give incorrect information about drug, know very little about drug interaction and when asked questions never seem to have to right answers. They are also very rude especially the older man with grey hair and glasses and the younger guy! They have zero compassion for the customers I’ve seen them be very cold and rude towards customers myself Included. That being said. Their beauty department and cashiers up front have amazing customer service! U fortunately I won’t return to this location I haven’t given them multiple attempts to grow on customer service but they actually only get worst! Shame on you staff who work in the health care but don’t seem to care. Enough said I wish this staff find happiness in their lives and can grow a better team.

Nice store with lots of selection for medication and essential groceries. Ample parking and staff are always helpful and friendly. Great pricing for milk and eggs; better than the other grocery stores around. Long line ups to pay is the only drawback I've had so far at this store.

Attempted to go in for one of those “no appt needed” flu shots. Turns out, no appt meant an hour wait. No one else was there for a flu shot, so not sure why they couldnt do it quickly. But alas, we waited an hour and then Were told it would still be at least 20min or more. Clearly they just didnt want to do the shots or not great with time management. Could have just said “not doing them today”. Anyways we left, went across the street to lawtons. No wait and they were super nice. Took about 3min of their time to do it. So if you want a flu shot, go to lawtons.

2 girls working in the beauty dept today were too busy talking to each other about customers and using the f word to describe some customer they were talking jorrknly about. I walked around 3 times looking for something I couldnt find but they didn't bother to stop talking to each other to ask me if I needed help. Customer service these days is sad.

Pharmacy staff at this location are AMAZING. From the pharmacy techs to the senior pharmacists (like Brian) everyone at this location seems dedicated to helping out as much as possible. My wife was in dire need of an asthma puffer and the team at this store moved mountains to help her get it. Thank you!

The Pharmacist was amazing. My kids and I went to get our flu shots, despite both my kids being really upset about getting a needle he was so great and patient with them.

The staff at this pharmacy are excelle t to deal with. Very knowledgeable and approachable. Will fill your prescription fast when you are in a hurry.
