We loved this place. It had that "maritime feel" you only find in the Maritimes.
The owner greeted us at the door and sat us at our table. The waitress was quick and friendly. When she knew I planned on taking my dessert to go? She gave me the option of trading ice cream for whip cream so I could still have the brownie! OMG!
It was so good! So good I ate mine and then my husband's. Haha
The food is fantastic. The salad bar is in a boat. (a real boat)
The salads are fresh and light. They were perfect with my lobster and my husband's steak. If you decide to try it?

Really enjoyed our lobster supper here. Great atmosphere. We had a nice server who explained to us how it worked. The mussels were a good starter with little seasoning so some found them bland but I enjoyed it. Lobster was easy to crack and eat. Everyone had a great time and our server gave us some tips. There were lots of different salads to choose from at the salad bar and the buns were nice. Only giving it a 4 due to the price and the food being mediocre. Definitely worth it for the experience. Will come back for some live music next year.

Hubbard's beach nearby is really nice though there is a fee to visit in the summer.

Used to be 2lb lobster now they only offer 1 1/2 lb.salads not that great and not always what you order.
Bring back all you can eat mussels.

Their lobster supper is everything you could imagine a maritime meal being! Everyone was so kind, the food was absolutely outstanding, and the history was cool too! Hands down recommend this place, even if you are a local!

My wife and I went to see Matt Minglewood and the band The staff are very friendly The music was awesome A great show and the atmosphere was electric You get a sense of history here They've been serving up lobster dinners and great music since the 40s An all-around wonderful experience

Its a nice spot with a great atmosphere. Servers are very friendly. They serve lobster warm which is fine but I prefer mine cold. For price I'd expect all you can eat mussels like similar spots on Prince Edward Island.

The food is always excellent, but what really amazes me is how consistent and simple they keep service and things. There's never a shortage of servers and good attitude. Last time I had a medium-well steak and what a delicacy that was. Their brownie is the best I've had in years.

Very disappointing. Hadn't been there in 5 years and our party was looking forward to it. The mussels were chewy/rubbery. The salad bar (which should be renamed as cold pasta/bean bar) was not impressive with the potato salad being runny. The three choices for dessert sounded good however however they were no better than ok. The lobster was tasty however with taxes and tip at close to $70 a person, this was poor value. The servers were extremely nice however despite a smaller than expected crowd, the service was extremely slow. Most members of my party have been to this venue on numerous occasions and couldn't believe how bad the food was. Perhaps it's a one off but again at almost $70 every effort should be made to ensure the food and overall experience is top notch.

Mac n cheese = mini bol de Kraft dinner réchauffé, accompagné d’une poignée de croustilles natures, des minis carottes crues. Mon garçons a dit que c’était le pire mac n cheese de sa vie. Avons signifié la situation à la serveuse et rien n’a été fait.
Repas hot dog = 1 hot dog accompagné d’une poignée de croustillés natures et de minis carottes.
Repas homard: un homard dans une assiette accompagné d’un mini contenant de plastique rempli de beurre nature et un morceaux de pain (roll).
Bar à salades: salades qu’on pourraient retrouver à l’épicerie. Manque de saveur et de raffinement.
Assiette de Moules: pas assez cuites
Dessert: mini morceau de brownie avec crème glacée.
Ambiance de cafétéria.
A déconseiller pour les enfants.
De plus, pour ajouter à la déception, nous devions quitter tout de suite en finissant car un groupe de musiciens venaient jouer mais ce n’était pas inclus dans le prix du repas!

Great service, mussels and lobster so fresh, salads and desserts delicious as well. Would recommend to anyone for their lobster dinner experience. Reasonably priced and so friendly.

Beautiful establishment and big reason for that is the staff. Very welcoming space for anyone including families.

All the food was boiled in only water and seasoned with only butter. No salt or any other seasoning on anything. I would not recommend to anyone under 80 years old.

Great old school lobster supper with traditional fixings. Love the fireplace and the entire vibe of the building really. Definitely worth the short drive from Halifax.

At 54 was my first time going to the Shore Club for the lobster dinner I had the steak and it was absolutely delicious they offer you a lots of salads I'm picky but I really like their coleslaw and their Caesar pasta. The desserts ranged from chocolate cake to a blueberry dessert and lemon strudel. I had the strudel it was delicious

A must try spot if you like lobster! The Mussels were amazing too! Come hungry and expect a full meal. The décor was visually appealing and the staff were welcoming.

We had a 1 lb.lobster supper here and it was very good. You get 1 lb.of mussels, 3 different salads, rolls, lobster and dessert. Everything was very good and the service was as well. For the price you can't beat it.

Delicious Lobster dinners. Great entertainment. This place is 75 years young. A "must go".

Staff are very friendly and helpful and service is excellent. But food is very basic, mussels are just steamed with no sauce, boiled lobster which would be fine if the price reflected it.

My family really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant last week! The servers were very attentive. The mussels were very fresh. The potatoes on the steak plate were seasoned very well. That lemon cake was to die for. Only complaint is that the kid’s mac and cheese was KD.

Great experience, we came here to try some local lobster and it didn’t disappoint. The mussels were tasty as well and service overall was quite quick. I wish the butter dishes were wider and there was more butter and definitely need more napkins. The salad was alright nothing too special tho. Felt a bit family back yard style and the restaurant has clearly been here for many decades. Worth checking out if your in town and looking for a local experience.

An absolutely amazing time, tough to get to but a fantastic experience to be wrapped up into. Salud, and don't forget to applaud as others come in, it's only polite.

The lobster was fresh and tasted great. However the salads and desserts are clearly mass produced and were not good quality. Sadly the water, coffee and fountain pop were very unpleasant.

This has been a family staple for decades. So pleased to be able to get back to Nova Scotia and go to a lobster dinner with my family.

Really good lobster. They say you get "all you can eat mussels" with your lobster meal, but they always run out of mussels so we never get very many. That was the most disappointing part

A must if you are in the Halifax area! A highlight of my most recent trip out east! I will be back! The salad bar has unlimited mussels to enjoy with your meal!

The Shore Club is a very unique place in more than one way. It is a old styled beach house dance hall through the summer months mostly on the weekends or Saturday night. They also serve one of the best lobster suppers with all you can eat muscles along with a salad bar.

This place is great and the best place for a full lobster supper experience. All you can eat salad bar and mussels to start. Your lobster, plus unlimited tea and coffee and of course a dessert to finish.
They also have amazing entertainment on most weekends and quite often you can combine the lobster supper with the entertainment and get a guaranteed ticket.highly recommended.

Overpriced, but great venue for groups. A small lobster should never be $40, no matter how much free mussels and salad are offered. Food quality is good, but dècor is very average. More food selection would help matters (no chowders, clams, shrimp, fish, etc.) which would give things a more authentic East Coast feel. Staff were very friendly and pleasant, elevating my rating from a 3 to a 4.

Awesome experience. This is a wonderful place with great people and a cool story. Well worth the trip out of Halifax for the lobster.

One of the best lobster places I have ever been to, and I have been to hundreds. Do stop if you are going to Peggy's Cove or Lunenberg. It's also worth a drive from Halifax by itself.

The owner manager that meets you at the door is really rude, with many unreasonable rules. Meal ok but owner kicks you out after meal and makes you stand in line outside again if you are staying for dance. We were being polite and left food area to allow for them to set up for the dance as we had not finished our wine/drinks, moved side bar area. Again asked to go outside without giving opportunity to finish drink. Really disrespected and treated like cattle. Would only take cash at bar. If you want to pay alot of money but be treated like cattle go here, cheers

The lobster was fantastic, even though I couldn't eat it properly nor finish it. Would recommend for anyone looking for a classic nova scotian lobster dinner.

They can hold dances and large groups for dinner, so keep that in mind when planning an event.
