Had lunch today. Great service, quick, plentiful and tasty. And affordable. Highly recommend!

Had the beef and broccoli combo. Food was good, and the service was kind and endearing. Will be back for sure!

Food came within 3 mins of ordering our lunch special.
Was a good amount and was very delicious and fresh.

We tried different combination plates and almost all of them were good. Only nit-pick was that the general tao chicken was a bit too sweet. Got to know I can request it to be more spicy next time. Our server was super nice and thanks to her we had a great time!

On another note:

I’ve been here a few times and have my memories associated with this place. This is not the best chinese food place and it doesn’t have to be.

It feels more like a throwback restaurant to me where I can go have a decent chinese (Canadian) meal for a reasonable price, in a supremely clean and quite dining space. Sometimes being simple can be quite difficult and this place aces that.

The dragon rice is amazing among other things on the menu. Wonderful service. One of the best Chinese food restaurants in the city.

The service was good I was seated fast the waitress was very nice and the food came out fast and was delicious. It also very affordable for Chinese food. Would definitely come again!

Honestly I hate leaving bad reviews and the people are really nice but the food just simply isn’t good. I spent $16 on a combo and am so disappointed. It didn’t even come with the fortune cookie I look forward to eating at the end. The egg roll was like nothing I’ve ever ate before and was just not good.

Delicious Chinese food! Service is fast and very friendly. My friends and I had been buying good food at Silver Dragon for 6 years now. You should try the food and see how good it is specially how friendly all their staff are. The place is also clean and relaxing.

So good. Had the dinner for 2 with my sister. It could have fed 4 of us. And they let us eat in even though they were under renovations.will eaf here again next time im back in halifax!

Favorite Chinese food so far. The meat in the fried wonton is always perfect and not rock hard.

Been going here for years, it's my favourite place to eat in Halifax. I've never had a bad experience. Go there couple times a month. The owners are very friendly people who are welcoming, its nice to chat with them. I'd give it 10 stars.

The person on the phone was great and the delivery person was super friendly. Food was delicious.

Ordered for pickup and it seemed as though the staff were a bit run off their feet, but the food was delicious and worth the wait when I got there.

You can call ahead and walk in to pick up your order it's pretty convenient and authentic takeout.

Last week September 2020 first time we ever ordered from them, all the food was degusting 50 bux later it all went in the trash. We couldn't believe the poor quality, it it tasted gross, dried out, just weird oh well never again.

Loreen served us and was fantastic, very friendly and warm! The food came out fast and was great, definitely worth the price. We will for sure be back again

One of my top chinese food restaurants in halifax. Good food, friendly staff and good service. My family's go to place for Chinese food while we are in Halifax.

Good and friendly service but the food was only so-so. Had takeout but the place looked clean with good room for people to sit and eat in.

This is our go to when we are visiting the city.the front staff is great, amazing dumplings and the ginger beef is my fav. I also love the noodle wonton soup.

Very friendly frond desk staff.food is okay not that great. The girl’s hospitality is excellent.

Ordered BBQ pork chow mein and received I think chop suey. There were no noodles. Went back told them the mistake and they made me noodles. Got deep fried Wong tong noodles instead. I don't think they know that chow mein has noodles in it

Update After response from Owner:
Thanks for the response, Your menu needs to be updated then, as I know what Chop suey is but the section "Chop Suey & chow mein" has dishes listed with each name. So people reading it would assume that it's one or the other.

Not one to give a place a poor review, but the service we had last time was awful. Ordered 2 combos, one of the combos was wrong when it arrived. Called back (took 2 separate calls to get through) to explain we received a wrong combo and the woman on the phone said just keep the one we recieved and they will send up the correct order. I ended up giving the wrong order to someone in the house that didn't originally order with us and didn't think anything of it. Get a call back from them 5 minutes later with a different woman on the line saying they will only send up the right order if we give them the other one back. I explain that the wrong order is currently being eaten, and they say they will send up the right combo for the combo price! Not even offering a discount. To me that is ridiculous. Anyway, get the correct combo, and it's missing a part of the combo! So ridiculous! The food is not even bad, but their customer service gives them 1 star. Such a shame!

Great for a sit down with friends or alone to dine in or take our. Food is always fresh and the egg rolls are delicious. Their housr plum sauce is the real deal!

My go to Chinese Restaurant in the city for take out.

We've never eaten in the resturant but the take out we've got from them for the last several years have always been delicious, and is very consistent in quality.

I’ve been to EVERY Chinese resturant in the city and this one is my fave! Everything make from scratch. I recommend dumplings?

Luv their rice noodles en black bean sauce en their springroll (homemade plum sauce to die for)

This place had awful service there was no one in this restaurant when we were there took over 10 minutes for us to get there attention to place an order, food was absolutely horrible rice tasted like it had briquettes in it obviously cooked and an extremely dirty grill wouldn't cook certain items on there menu saying it would take to long to cook, wouldn't even feed there food to a homeless dog.

Fabulous. Food was very hot. Tasted great. Not overrun with salt and was fresh. Wait time was minimal and the service is friendly. Very clean

Silver Dragon is my favorite "Canadian Chinese Food" restaurant in Halifax. They have good lunch specials, quick service, and tasty food.

Gross & Slow!
I called in an order for Combo #8, beef & brockli with some chicken balls.
They said 15 Minutes. I arrived at the 30 Minute mark expecting to pick it up and leave.it was not ready for another 15 Mins.so takes 3 times longer than I was told (and there was only one other person in there - no reason for so slow). The chicken fried rice was dry, and the chicken balls were more uncooked dough than chicken, beef was very small, came with greasy egg roll that was just gross.will never go back there again.
