Sir Sandford Fleming Park

10 stories high, don't smoke before you go. Lol. 2 spiral staircases and a flight of metalll stairs around the outside wall. Time your trip up or the fog will beat you to the top and then minimal viewing.

I always love coming here. Beautiful place to take a walk and just relax.
If looking to show family/friends a nice place to hangout or for a bbq 10/10 would recommend

Beautiful getaway 15 minutes from city. Good location for a walk, boating, kayaking, watching sunset, fishing or even walking. Be it an early morning yoga or an evening meditation, you can do it here peacefully. Its not crowded with tourists so thats a plus for people who hate crowds.
Also try the memorial tower, worth a visit.

If you don't mind heights this staircase is worth the climb for quite the panoramic view of the area

It is a nice place to visit on Vacation and to relax. The topography is a beauty to behold.

You have ample space for car parking.
It was a cloudy day I visited and the mist in the air made the place even more beautiful.

Love going here and there is always parking close to nice walks along the water plus a small park for my son.

Walk along the seawall. Relax by the stream which empties into the Northwest Arm. Playground for children. Boat launch. Follow path through woods to the Frog Pond. Climb the tower to see the views. Have a picnic on the grass. Play on the little beach. Some even swim there. Cool off under the trees. Park can be full of people on beautiful days. Lots of dog walkers.

Went fishing here and caught a decent number of mackerels. Small pier, maybe 2-3 people at a time.

The tower was open when we were there, we could climb to the top level. Many historical stuff on the inside walls of the tower. The Park is beautiful with a small water stream that goes into the ocean and next to which there are some picnic spots. Parking and washrooms available. Washrooms could use some extra cleaning. I've seen persons fishing on the beach as well catching some mackerel.

One of my favourite parks in Halifax! Love the tower! Can sometimes catch some little crabs too!

Very beautiful and relaxing. A large area with lots of trails to walk into the forest, or take a stroll along beautiful views of the water. There's a play park for children and picnic tables. Perfect spot to go for a run, or have a family picnic, or just take some nice pictures of the scenery.

I loved this architectural historical monument.considering the time it was originally built.all the way up the stairs, I was thinking how it was done so wonderfully.and it has stunning views from the top (pictures added). It might be a little tiring for little kids but there are platforms where they can rest and regain the energy.

This is a large 95 acre park to the south of Halifax. There's the massive Fleming Memorial Tower which is a must see, woodlands, salt water near the shore, a small pond in the middle, and heath barren. There's many walking trails along the shore, but also to the pond and around it. Definitely need an hour or so to get through it all, highly recommended.

What a peacefull place to visit, walk along the walkway and see the sights, playground for the little ones.dog friendly as long as on a leash and please clean up after your dogs.

If you hit this place at the right time of year and its sundown and your out for a trip in the kyacks your in for a treat.the glowing algea is amazing
