Même sous les nuages, même avec la neige, c’est assez impressionnant. Pas vu d’original, malheureusement, mais une très jolie grouse!

Jaw-dropping view, worth to visit!
There is a loop-trail, the nearest trail to this view is a couple of kms. The wind is very strong, so be very careful.
No Drones! No bikes.
As well as no pets allowed on a trail.
Parking is massive. Washroom by the parking. Better to arrive at least a couple of hours before the stunning sunset but also beautiful view during the day.

Nice walk. Good job on maintaining it so easy to walk on. Nice scenery from the viewpoints. It’s a walk; not a hike.

Towards the end of the trail there is a plastic recycling bin. I collected and disposed in it five water bottles some hikers left behind. So if going there, keep your garbage / recycling plastic with you instead of leaving outside.

Amazing. They've done such a great job on that trail. Go offseason it can be insane in the summer.

Stunning walking trail! Stunning views and tons of benches. A great trail and NOT overrated. Would recommend

Circular hiking route widely traveled by the population. Very easy and long marked route, reaching a viewpoint almost at the bottom. You descend almost half of the top height of the mountains along wooden platforms.
In my opinion, it is not worth going down to the bottom, views are lost. There is little vegetation, it seems as if the site has suffered a fire, which makes it less interesting.

Easy trial, mostly flat with some stairs at the lookout. I saw couple of moose. Need to bring binocular if you plan to do whale watching. Heard the sunset is nice too. Planning according to the weather, the lookout can get really windy, and there is no shade on the trail, so wear sun protection and bring a lot of water on a hot day.

Length: 6.5 km (4 mi) return; 8.2 km (5.1 mi) loop
Hiking Time: 1.5–3 hours
Elevation: 290–405 m (950–1330 ft.)
Main trail suitable for most skill levels.

This hike is amazing for someone mobility challenged as I am. There are many hills but the view is worth it. It took 3 hrs to complete the entire loop, but you can make that shorter by going back the shorter side of the trail. I highly recommend this hike and hope to visit again.

Sentier facile à faire. Le sentier descend un peu en y allant et il remonte un peu au retour. Mais c'est très légé comme pente. Possibilité de faire une boucle ou un aller-retour. Très belle vue!

PSA: please check the weather/fog forecast before you head to this trail. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to see the skyline/any part of the sea for that matter, due to the thick fog. We were travelling clockwise direction, so skyline trail was our first stop in the morning- if possible, this trail is best done post afternoon and thus perhaps better going counter clockwise direction around cape Breton. The trail itself was very easy and well paved (1/5 difficulty).

Really enjoyed our hike at Skyline.
It’s a relatively long hike (we took about 2 hours) - so plan accordingly. The views at the end of the trail are simply amazing - you will be glad you hiked this trail when you get there. One of the highlights of our trip - highly recommended!

Anyone who is nearby should go for it. Either 6 or 8 km (there and back). It's worth it, even if a large part of it goes through forest.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre randonnée sur la skyline, nous donne un magnifique point de vue sur la Cabot Trail. Époustouflant!

Very easy hike with greak infrastructure/ views along the way. I loved the information plaques along the way! A great way to learn about the region and its history.

There is no question that this spot is the best at cabot Trail, and it is keeping up to the reputation. We were late to reach this place, but the parking lot was still busy. We took the short route, and we reached the end point within 60 minutes. I did not see any wild life on the way, although there were warnings for the moose on the trail. I would not rate this trail to be difficult, I it is between beginner and intermediate. Bring water with you as I did not see any place to refill my water bottles. At the end of the trail, there are some benches to relax the ocean views. I would like to do this trail again if time permits.

Very nice Park with exceptionally maintained train but the view wasn’t as dramatic or stunning as I was led to believe. Glad I did it but don’t need to return

Come early! We were unexpectedly turned away in the afternoon and told the parking lot was full and closed. We would've needed to come back in an hour or two which was difficult for our plans that day.

It's downhill on the way out and uphill on the way back, so it may be a bit difficult, but it's well worth it.
It took about 3 hours to see the sights, and there were benches under the shade of trees along the way, so it was nice to take a break.
It wasn't too hot because the wind was blowing.
The scenery was really nice.
It is better to read the instructions here and there to help you understand better.

A must for the trip to Cabot Trail. We took the counterclockwise trail finishing the longer portion first. I would do it again this way. It took approximately 1 hr to the boardwalk and 30-45 mins back. We went around 9 am and it wasn’t too busy but it started to get busy by the time we left around 11.

Very good. Unusual forest, dizzying landscapes, and boundless ocean.there are equipped places for rest, but the main thing is that you don't feel thrown into the wild) because you meet many different people and somehow they don't bother you.

This tail is a “must see“, if you visit the Cape Breton Highlands National Park! It’s a very easy hiking trail with less altitude meters but beautiful view spots!
And i hate it to hike, so if i recommend a hiking trail, than you have to do it.

This is the best view in Cape Breton. People seem to start late: we were almost the only ones there at 8am but on the way out there was a constant stream of people heading in.
