Smith Rock Chalets

I had some skepticism when reading some of the more negative reviews. Not sure if there was a bit of an overhaul since then but our stay was pleasant. We stayed in the main motel lodge. Room was clean, lots of amenities including microwave, dishes, etc. Scenic surroundings from the top of the hill. Would loved to have stayed here more than one night.

Would recommend for small families. Location is a bit remote but Pictou down the road is a great place to visit. Not much interaction with the staff but were pleasant check in and out.

Stayed here 2 times now over 2 years. Both times had excellent service. The rooms feel more like home than a regular hotel room. On top of everything is the awesome view and walking trails.

Beautiful and full of nature. So quiet you are miles from the city and noise. Very open and friendly. As well as the drive up is quite fun.

It is 10: 50 pm on the night of our stay and we’ve just had enough. When we arrived the toilet paper was empty, body wash in the shower, bugs on the window sill but we looked passed it because it’s our first wedding anniversary and we’ were looking forward to a night away. The chalet is warm, which is to be expected this time of year (no AC provided only a fan) but the fan provided is held together with zip ties. Well now the fan has stopped working completely dead, nothing. We are very disappointed.

My partner and I stayed here two nights, it was peaceful and quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! Beautiful hiking trails, a amazing hot tub, and pool, there was a jet tub in the room, that was amazing! We had a lovely time, the view was incredible!

Can't say enough great things about Smith rock chalets. We were on our way home to PEI from halifax and staying for 2 nights.
- the most kind and friendly staff, super accommodating.
- clean, home feeling rooms with lots of utensils, toaster etc.
- the view is absolutely breathtaking with lots of hiking trails.
- has a campground feel outdoors with community fire pit and poolhot tub.
- my girlfriend enjoyed playing with the owners kittens

Safe to say, we will definitely be back!
Already thinking of returning in the late fall, early winter!

Not as advertised!
No air conditioning and the other deficiencies go on and on. Ridiculous for the premium price of the chalet.
Don't go there.

Chalets are beautiful, but who in this day and age does not have air conditioning available in a hotel/chalet.traveled here with family, and we were all surprised that there was no AC in the chalets, and the beds are all up in the loft where the heat ends up.
If we had known this, we would have booked elsewhere.
End of July, 30C outside. 34C inside.
We were on motorbikes, and the road in is gravel, and in some places, loose gravel. Not recommended for the beginner rider or someone with a real valuable bike. If they get AC and fix the road, I may stay here again, but not likely if they don't.

The view from the chalets nestled on top of Fitzpatrick Mountain is absolutely beautiful. We stay in the sane cabin and love to go in the winter during the week.good deal. Woodstove, private, comfy, snowshoeing, hiking, so much fun n relaxation! Well worth your money for a couple's getaway. We are renewing our vows in October and have booked to stay for a few days! Owners are great to let us check in early at noon! Great place:)

Lovely spot situated in The mountain beauty as far as the eye can see. Bed was so comfy and warm and the jet tub was amazing.

We booked on New Year's Day for the next night. We didn't expect to get a place at such short notice, considering that we were travelling with our pets. The facility is amazing, and the staff very accommodating. The room had everything we needed—plus a whirlpool bath! The closets and cupboards were stocked with supplies well beyond the offering of many hotels we've stayed in. All was clean and in good repair and beds were comfy. We want to experience Smith Rock in the other seasons, so we will definitely back.

It was an awesome spot we were there over Christmas and the chalet even had a small Christmas tree in the TV area.
