Smitty's Family Restaurant - Halifax Cathedral -Closed

Went in with low expectations but ended up being surprised. Service was great and delicious food. Would definitely come back again!

Good old restaurant for brunch with family or friends. Vegetarian options are less and take a while to get the food to the table but the food is good.

Sort of a usual diner experience- not in a bad way! Food is okay, nothing super exciting but not bad. Good comfort spot if you grew up around diners. Staff were great, and accommodated the fact that I had my suitcase.

If you come here order anything but there crepes, it’s just three plain waffles with a jar of jam, on top

My sister and I had lunch at this location after an appointment. The service was very fast, and the food was great. Even the server agreed that our food was ready at lightning speed. We'd had a disappointing visit to the Clayton Park location the week before for our mother's 90th birthday.

Family restaurant, as advertised. Roast beef dip was excellent! The fries are great. Strangely enough, fries dipped in the happy cakes strawberry sauce makes for a scrumptious dessert.

I have had one bad experience here earlier this year but since then the service and staff have been wonderful! The food is great for breakfast. I love seeing the gentleman with his dog enjoying it as well. Thanks for all you do for us aging customers!

Two other customers seated in restaurant, waited 15 minutes to be seated gave up and left, in those 15 minutes no staff members were seen at all.

After passing Smitty's a few times we decided to finally stop in for breakfast. Once we got in the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We ordered 1 Meatlovers Breakfast Skillet and 1 Big Country Breakfast. The food came out fast, hot and delicious. We highly recommend Smitty's for a great breakfast spot. Will be back to try the lunch menu 10/10

First time going there and trust me, I’ll definitely be back! Food was amazing, staff was polite! I had the MeatLovers Skillet and my partner had the Big Country Breakfast. Everything was hot and delicious. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for some good breakfast!

Very, very bad experience. The service is super slow and the food tasted horrible! Save your money and go somewhere else to enjoy a good customer service.

Great classic diner, coffee is strong and service was quick and friendly. I got a cheese omelette and it was definitely very cheesy! My friend got the cinnamon swirl pancakes and they were decadent.

Might have been a bad day. The staff was polite and we were quickly seated, and we placed our order fairly quick. The restaurant was lightly busy, so we waited for about 30 to 40 minutes. It seemed we might have waited longer had we not inquired about our order. Overall, it was okay. Hopefully I catch them on a better day.

Food was decent, service was slow and our server was clearly doing their best but struggling, the bathrooms.well! They need work!

I was really hungry, and I got great service and great food. I order breakfast for dinner, and it was warm and delicious. The waitress was nice and helpful, but not so chatty or anything. I really appreciated her service, and the atmosphere helped me relax quite a bit too!

Very nice staff. Only remember one name, Eryn. I was there today around 4pm. All the staff we encountered were very professional and pleasant.
